How to Wear; Coloured Jeans ♥

Coloured Jeans are everywhere these days, and I seem to have fallen in love with them. Whether it's the pastel ones or the bright coloured jeans they are all easy, affordable, and versatile which makes it easier and easier to wear this season's big colour trend.

How to Wear; Coloured Jeans
When it comes to styling, you can NEVER go wrong when pairing coloured jeans with black, white, cream, brown or a nude coloured top. Any pair of bright jeans would look awesome with a white shirt, a black silk shirt , a cream-coloured cardigan sweater or a black blazer.

Here are a few rules before we get into it;

# Darker Coloured Jeans are best when you don't want to draw attention to hips/thighs.

# If you are petite, wear a top in a neutral that isn't a lighter or darker.

# Add a print in the neutral shade (even stripes) that works with the colour of jeans.

# Colours of Jeans don't have to be too bright, choose muted colours that suits you best

# Jeans in bright colours need bright neutrals such as black and white.

#Wear shoes in same colour as your coloured jeans can give taller look and elongate your legs.

-Playing it safe
If you don't want to or don't like to experiment a lot with your coloured jeans and want to be on the safer side, then pair them with a black, white or a neutral colour top. Believe it or not, they always go with any colour. These colours never go out of style either!
-Colour blocking it
If you are bold and daring, then, colour block it! Pair your coloured jeans with a contrasting colour top or a colour block top.
-Denim on denim
Yes, classic denim shirts and tops do go with coloured denim jeans. They match with almost all the colours, but bare in mind of the shade of the denim top. Always make sure that the shade of the top should go with the colour of your jeans. Like, lighter shades of denim look great with lighter colour jeans like pink and yellow.

-Prints and patterns
Summer is all about beautiful prints and patterns, be it floral print any other pattern. Pairing such tops with a coloured jeans is simply amazing! But  you have to keep the colour in mind and match the dominating colour of the top with a contrasting coloured jeans.

1. Blush - Blush is the ultimate instant picker-upper. Whether it's  rose, apricot, raspberry, or fuchsia, gel, cream, liquid, or powder, nothing livens up the face faster than dab a fabulous flush with a pretty pop of colour swiped across the apples of your cheeks for an instance glow!

4. Red Lipstick - My fav!  Much like your signature perfume scent, every girl needs a go-to red lipstick right by her side. It's appropriate to wear whatever the occasion  wearing it makes you appear more confident and shows that you like to be different. Whether it’s crimson, cherry, cardinal, cinnamon, or candy apple, choose a shade that flatters your specific complexion and enjoy the high-fives on your bold beauty move.

BB Cream - BB Cream's have only recently become extremely popular, this is because they not only give you a healthy shine but they are so good for your skin! It’s what someone would describe as a sheer foundation, moisturiser  primer, and toner all in one. That's not even the  best part?! It not only allows you to build colour but it also gives you coverage to hide even the worst of blemishes but actually treats them.  Double-duty beauty!

And it’s OK if yours aren't naturally show stopping you can easily add a little oomph to your everyday look. Take your lashes from short  to full and fluffy in 30 seconds flat by swiping a few coats of mascara through them.

7. Dry Shampoo - The beauty world's eqivalent to sugar!  Buy yourself a little extra time between shampoos with a dry variation. The powder formula absorbs excess oil, dirt, product buildup, and odor, quickly cleansing your locks without even getting your hair wet.

8. Deep Conditier - Regardless of style, texture, and current chemical state, everyone’s hair could benefit from a little extra TLC. Pout Pamper + DIY Lip Scrub ♥

After yesterday's post on giving your self a manicure in this cold weather, I thought I would upload a post today and tomorrow along the trend of Winter! Brrrr! When the weather turns cold I always find that my lips become dry, chapped and nasty!! So here are a few simple steps you can do if your lips change in the cold weather!
DIY Lip Scrub

Exfoliate
You know how your Exfoliate your face and skin to remove all the dry skin cells..? Well you should do the exact same to your lips! It may seem really odd at first but by scrubbing them you are protecting them from chapping. You can buy 3 different flavoured lip scrubs at LUSH for £5.25 each and it is worth every penny you spend! You can buy them here :) If you don't want to go out in this cold weather and buy the scrubs, you can make your own at home!

DIY Lip Scrub

You will need ..

  • Sugar (white or brown will do)
  • Oil ( olive, light, coconut, almond whatever!)
  • Honey
  • Small Container/ Used up lip balm container (if you are going to be making lots!
I recommend using whatever amount of ingredients you want, depending on how much you are planning on making! To achieve this super scrub, all you have to do is combine the sugar and oil together in a small bowl or the container you may be using until the sugar absorbs the oil. Add a small squirt of honey to mould the mixture for the scrub together - this way it will have a texture that isn't messy to use. Transfer the mixture into a container or apply onto your lips to remove the flaky skin you may have.

Day & Night

Day - I always carry around a lip balm, so whenever my lips need a little bit of therapy I will have something handy!   DON'T ever be shy with the amount of balm you apply - go over the top if you must! It will help your lips soo much and leave them irresistibly soft!

Night - When it comes to bedtime, apply your lip balm on your lips, so you can wake up with smooth, luscious lips! At night I prefer using Vaseline  because I feel comfortable sleeping in it and it doesn't make my lips sticky .. if you get me?! I love the Vaseline range, any of their products make me fall in LOVE!! My fav lip balm has to be the Rosy one - because it's pink! This is available to buy almost anywhere! Or you can buy it online !

Dress to suit you ♥

As it is currently party season, and coming up to new years eve with all the party's. I thought it would be a good idea to give you a guide on how to dress appropriately for the body shape that you are. The worst thing to do is to wear something unflattering and have everyone talk about you.

1. THE PEAR SHAPE
A pear shaped women has hips that are wider than the shoulders, your bottom is rounded and your waist is noticeable. Your best feature's are your shoulders, and the flat stomach. My drawing attention to your waist and arms you are balancing out the upper and lower body.

DON'T - wear items of clothing that focus on your hips & thighs
DO- Mix up light and dark colours so they contrast.
DO- Wear strapless dresses to show off those arms and balance the top and bottom.
DO- Go with the pointy toed shoes to elongate your legs.

2. RECTANGLE SHAPED
Rectangular body shapes have hips, shoulders and a waist that are similar in width. Your best feature's are your arms and legs which means you don't have to take attention away from other parts of your body. BY just creating curves in your body you are showing those arms and legs off.

DO - Wear tops that have collars, ruffles or any detail that will flatter your top half.
DO - Layer items of clothing to add more shape.
DO- Feel free to experiment with a range of different colours.
DON'T - Go too daring with prints and patterns

3. APPLE SHAPED BODY
Women with apple shapes figures find that their weight gathers above the narrow hips that they have. There ribs, back and shoulders are broad and can tend to make you feel wider than others. But a advantage to being apple shaped is the LEGS!! If you show off the legs and create the image of having a waist - you'll look amazing!

DO- Buy tops with v-necks for a longer torso image.
DO- Wear belts that fit around the smallest part of your waist.
DO- Go for the empire tops and dresses which will do their best to hide any tummy bulge.
DO- Boot cut and flared jeans are your best bet to create a even line from head to toe.

4. HOURGLASS FIGURE
Being an hourglass figure, means that you are a very lucky woman! Your hips & shoulders are similar in width and lie in between a tiny waist. CURVES are your best assest ... showing these off will get anyone drooling.
DON'T- Please don't cover up those curves with baggy clothing
DO- Wear dresses that are fitted to show off those curves
DO- By wearing a belt you are showing off that hourglass shape
DO- Go and try wearing skinny or straight leg jeans.
