Trying Soap and Glory Makeup

I have the biggest crush on Soap and Glory. Ever since I started blogging, they are a brand that have featured on here numerous times. The body washes, hand food, sugar crush scrubs and so many more are my ride of dies. There makeup is something that I equally love and have loved in the past. A few weeks back when an email popped through from their PR team, asking if I'd like to try a few bits - I SCREAMED. No, like I actually did and my parents got so excited too, as they know its a brand that I adore.

Products I've Used Up #1

I seem to have never done a empties post on this blog, and If I did then I can't seem to find it..so I thought I would start doing them from now on. I don't use up a lot of products up very often, but I do try to get through some. These posts won't be monthly by any means as I don't seem to remember to keep empty products after I have finished with them! I find that these posts give you a little review about each product and whether or not you will be buying it again.
Products I've Used Up #1
Boots Deodorant // This was a impromptu purchase a while ago now, when I desperately needed some new deodorant I picked up the cheapest one I could find! Long story short, I ended up using it all the time and used it up, I am very sensitive to some deodorants and this was made for people like me who react to stuff!
Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer // Well, its about time this finished! You can hardly see the packaging on this thing as it has all been rubbed off, I have been using this for months and treasuring every moment until it runs out and I think the time has come to go out and buy another one. I love this concealer and don't have a clue what I would do without it.
Soap&Glory Scrub em and Leave em // This is a mini soap and glory scrub that I bought to try out and I loved using it every week as it left my skin feeling uber soft and thoroughly foliated.
La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo Sample // I got this sample through the post a while back, and tried my best to use it in moderation to see if it works. And for me it really didn't! Maybe I need to use it for a  little longer or something, so I tried my best to use it up quickly!
Alberto Balsam Shampoo //  This was my previous favourite shampoo that I loved to death, but I found that when I had come to finishing it that it wasn't the best for my hair! It made it very greasy very quickly and I had to constantly wash my hair again and again.
Witch Anti Blemish Stick // Ahhh! I am crying over the fact that this blemish stick has finished. I bought it out of the blue to try it out and I cannot believe that I have fallen in love with it, whenever I had a spot that was coming out I used this to help with the breakout and boy did it help me loads!
T-Zone Rapid Action Gel // Another blemish breakout treatment that I started to use when the witch stick eventually ran out. This is a very thick and watery gel that you spread on your breakout area and it helps with spots within 4 hours. I found it best to apply this at night and when I woke up I saw such a difference it was amazing and I will be re purchasing some products from this range.
Nivea Express Primer // I love this primer for my skin, there will be a review coming soon as I have just recently bought another one which I showed in a haul last week. This primer is something I use everyday with my moisturiser sometimes and sometimes without. I have to use this under my makeup everyday and it helps so much with the longevity of my makeup and I cannot live without it.
Soap&Glory Righteous Butter //  Another soap and glory product that I have fallen in love with and used up far too quickly. This is one of their many body butters that I wanted to try before buying and I am very glad I did as it has helped through the winter months with all my dry skin and especially on the elbows.

That is that for my first ever empties post, hope you enjoyed!

QV Skincare Cream, Bath Oil and Lotion| Review

QV Skincare Cream, Bath Oil and Lotion
Are you a dry skin sufferer like me? Then these QV Skincare Creams are worth reading about and checking out because they have transformed my life! In this post I'm going to be showing and sharing my thoughts on three of their products - cream, lotion and oil.

QV Skincare Cream, Bath Oil and Lotion

Even thought I love my body shop butters and soap and glory creams, in the winter I have to compromise between either having skin that feels good or smells good and to be honest the fancy smelling butters don't moisturise us enough in the winter time. This from QV is a lot more moisturising and has a funny smell that at first that then goes away after it sinks in. It's also not very thick and neither is the cream below, which for me is better as I hate the feeling of knowing I have cream on me. It also says it can be used to clean makeup....

QV Skincare Cream, Bath Oil and Lotion

This was the first thing that I jumped towards when I saw the products, my face is extremely dry in the winter time and finding a cream that isn't too oily but great for dry skin is hard, so this was a risk taker for me. But, I loved the feeling of this when I applied it on my face and have started to use this as my night cream as it is a very heavy cream due to it being moisturising for the skin. When I wake up in the morning my skin is left feeling like a soft baby's bum (Excuse the expression!). I use this more as a moisturiser than a body cream due to the one above.

QV Skincare Cream, Bath Oil and Lotion

I'm not a person to take very many baths but I got someone else to try this and used this in the shower..because everyone in my family suffers from dry skin and this went down a treat. Using this in the shower just like a soap and works amazingly well with the cream used after.

If this sounds like a range of products you like then be sure to check them out and also if you suffer from dry skin or eczema then what do you use?

Everyday Shower Routine

Waking up in the morning is a struggle; the warm cosy bed is a lot more attractive than having to put effort in and getting ready. The only thing for me that makes it a little less daunting is that when I jump in the shower, I have an array of products waiting for me! That will make me feel more awake and smell amazing.

Everyday Shower Routine

SKINCARE

Everyday Shower Routine

The bulk of my skincare routine happens in the shower due to it being more convenient and seeing as though the rest of me is getting a good clean, why not tackle my face as well? On an everyday basis I use the MagnitoneLucid Brush with the Bliss Makeup Melt (£24), together they remove any makeup from the day before and thoroughly clean my face leaving it oil and dirt free for the day ahead. My skin is far too sensitive for a scrub every day; therefore I use the Garnier Pure Active(£2.65) only once a week. The scrub has an amazing cucumber scent and feels all tingly on the skin.

BODY

Everyday Shower Routine

After my face has been completely cleaned it’s time to move onto the body – the part that makes you feel and smell beautiful! In the summer I love using products that smell fruity and are quite overpowering because then you can guarantee the smell will last. All over my body I use the Soap & Glory Sugar Crush body wash (£6.50) which smells divine! The zesty scent really wakes you up in the morning and it makes the bathroom smell great too, the entire Sugar Crush range is well worth the splurge! Every other day I use a scrub on my arms and legs to help keep my stubborn, ingrown hairs away – my all-time favourite is TBS Raspberry. It also seems like it’s been discontinued which breaks my heart. The last area I focus on in the shower is the more intimate one, it is just as important to look after that area as it is the rest of your body. For this I like to use the femfresh Daily IntimateWash (£2.99/250ml). What is femfresh? First off, it has a low pH which helps to keep the area down there calm and with it having no soap and a light scent it doesn’t irritate. The hint of Aloe Vera gives the wash soothing and calming properties, and anything with Aloe in I am drawn towards!

 AFTER SHOWER AND STAYING FRESH

Everyday Shower Routine

Part of my everyday shower routine includes products that I use afterwards that help me to smell amazing and feel fresh all day. It starts with a double dosage of body moisturiser, two seems unnecessary but it works wonders! First up is for the dry patches on my skin and for this I love the Garnier Intensive 7 Days (£2.45) - it restores my skin and leaves it feeling silky and soft. Then I like to use another moisturiser that smells a little better and any from Victoria’s Secret is fine for me. They smell gorgeous and the scent stays on longer than perfume does which is surprising and when night comes a hint of glitter appears too! (£9.30).
During the day I love using a mist to cool me down, especially in the hot weather whilst I’m at work my body tends to heat up and a mist is the only thing that works. I grabbed this one from the Poundshop but they are now readily available in supermarkets! The other thing I use is Freshening and SoothingCloths from femfresh (£3.49), like the wash they contain a pH balanced formula that cleanses, freshens and soothes your skin. I love taking these to work with me on longer days as by the time 2 o’clock comes around I feel all sticky. These refresh me and make me feel less conscious of smelling horrible along with a spritz of deodorant of course!
All of these products help me to stay fresh all day and work well together like a magical recipe to keep me fresh and clean!

My Basic Travel Essentials

Summer. It is officially here. And this is the time of year when everyone is getting ready to go on holiday, whether it means around the country you live in for weekend a ways or going abroad for some sun! Whatever it is you will be travelling! This is a another one of my series' where I will be showing you and sharing with you tips, tricks and ways to make your travelling times easier!

And one thing you always have to look after is your skin and body, especially if you are travelling by plane - as the humidity can affect your skin. Here are my travel sized essentials that I purchase every year as it makes it easier for me to carry everything! The beauty of these two packs that I am going to share with you, is that they are 'Hand Luggage Friendly' meaning that you can take them on the plane with you and feed your body and skin with goodness.

My Basic Travel Essentials

This is the Nivea kit that you can purchase.. it comes with;

* Pearl Deodorant - hands down, this is my favourite summer time deodorant. It feels very light on you and lasts all day!

* Pocket Size SPF30 Sunscreen - You have to protect your skin at all times from the sun, this small sized bottle makes it easier and more handbag friendly to carry around.

* Lip Balm with SPF30 - We all never realise that our lips can also get harmed from the sun, and this lip balm is the best to help any sun damage from happening on your lips.

* Facial Cleansing Wipes - These wipes are great to remove make up and if you want to just freshen up, not only do they smell amazing but they do amazing things to your face.

* Shower Cream - When you are by the pool at the seaside or even at the hotel/ any accommodation it is always best to carry around and bring your own soap as it is then something you are used to, you don't have to worry about allergies ect.

* Hand Cream - I do love my soap and glory, however it is expensive. This Nivea hand cream is the next best thing! It smells good enough to eat and nourishes your hands so much they are left feeling super soft and silky.

My Basic Travel Essentials

My Basic Travel Essentials

This Simple kit is more for your face, it includes products that can be used day and night and are great for those like me; who have sensitive skin.

*Cleansing Wipes- Just like the Nivea ones, these are superb at removing any trace of make up and aren't harsh to your skin in any way.

* Facial Wash Gel - This gel is great for first thing in the morning, it helps your skin get ready for the day and helps your skin to recover from the night before.

* Moisturiser - Whether you are having a sunny holiday abroad or a holiday in another city in your country, you should ALWAYS moisturise you face and body. It is so important and I can't stress to you enough how important it is - like seriously.

*Facial Toner - A toner is great to use every morning and night as part of your skin care routine, it helps get rid of dirt and feeds your skin.

A Bit of Rough|| Review

a bit rough

I always seem to be reviewing beauty items, so I thought I would do something different and review this exfoliating cloth today. Something that has become part of my everyday shower routine. At first I was always using a loafer and it meant replacing it constantly because I was using it to its end, this cloth is a little different it lasts much longer and trust me works a lot better!
a bit rough
There are so many uses for this cloth, it seems as though tanning is the main one however as someone who doesn't use fake tan I thought it would be a better idea to find out some more uses and boy there are lots. My main use has been using it after I have had my arms and legs waxed, there are always so many little stubborn hairs and this cloth helps to get rid of them slowly. I also thought initially that it wouldn't work without a special sort of soap but I have been using it with my Soap and Glory Sugar Crush Soap and it works amazingly well! It also really gentle to use on the face and isn't harsh at all, and it works well with your everyday scrub. It's also huge and you can get to your back and everything this is pure genius!

Favourites of 2013 || Beauty,Skincare&Random ♥

Happy New Year! We have made it into 2014 - how crazy! .And now as we all recover together from all that food and crazy shopping, I bring you my 2013 Favourites. This time of the month would normally be my favourites for the month of December - but I thought I would do something different this time and do them for the whole year instead. This year has been a busy one for me especially - and I think a lot of you out there. And I hope that we go into the new year with our heads held high and achieve everything that we want!

 Favourites of 2013 || Beauty,Skincare&Random
First up we have some skincare and hair/perfume favs of the year! These few items I just had to include in this post. On the far left we have a perfume that I have completely fallen in love with and use every single day with out fail. Wonder-struck by Taylor Swift is my signature scent as they say. It smells amazing and I am so shocked that I still haven't used it up!
Then we have the Sexy Hair Weatherproof Spray*, I do not know how I would of survived this windy and rainy weather without this bottle of goodness. It has become a holy grail product and I use it everyday with out a doubt. It really helps my hair from being ruined by the wind or rain and I am so thankful I have it!
This next product is no stranger to anyone out there, this is the Soap and Glory Hand Food which is by far the best hand cream I have ever tried. It doesn't leave my hands feeling sticky or un usable as it sinks into the skin really quickly as well as getting rid of the dry bits.
The Primark facial wipes are a new discover of mine and the past few months that have gone buy, I keep on re-purchasing them because they are so good. For start off they are really cheap to buy and second the two sides of the wipes makes it easier to remove everything off my face at night.
Sat quietly in the corner over there is the Witch Hazel Spot Stick, just like the weatherproof spray this is my holy grail. If I have ever spot a breakout that is coming through,; I use this as often as I can to stop it from developing further and if it does then I just carry on until its all gone.
 Favourites of 2013 || Beauty,Skincare&Random
Now then, let's move onto the makeup bits of this post. First up is a favourite of mine that probably will always be featured on this blog. The Urban Decay NAKED palette, my life feels complete after being given this. I am without a doubt completed when I have this on my eyes, the colours are so pigmented and you can use the shadows day and night. LOVE LOVE LOVE.
Then the white packaging is the MUA Matte Lipstick in Wild Berry which has been my winter colour, I haven't stopped applying this to my lips. I don't know whether its the colour that I love or the fact that it's matte. There is just something about it that I adore!
I had to include the Simple BB Cream in my 2013 Favs, only because it has been one of those items that I actually started out hating and then slowly I fell in love with it and have been using it every single day. The coverage isn't the best with this but it does the job of giving me some colour and a little coverage to last me all day without having to pile on the foundation every single day.
Since having it I have also been loving the Smooch Eye-shadow Duo in Filthy Rich*, this combo of colours works so well together and looks great on my eyes as I have a very dark skin tone. This paired with a nude lip looks amazing in the night and day and the shadows alone are so bloody pigmented it is crazy!

 Favourites of 2013 || Beauty,Skincare&Random
Now moving onto the random bits and bobs! First up is my music favourites and I have been loving lots of different songs and albums this year and here is a quick run threw.
- Beyonce by Beyonce
- Katy Perry - Prism
- Bangerz by Miley Cyrus
- Salute by Little Mix
- Midnight Memories by One Direction
- DEMI by Demi Lovato
- Red by Taylor Swift
And of course, how can I forget about FOOD!

February Favourites|| 2014

February Favourites|| 2014

Its time for the favourites of this month! I will be doing these posts every month, as I find that I will have much more to talk about instead of doing them every month, but the months I won't be doing them there will be something in there place I promise! This month I have been loving a whole load of things and can't wait to share them with you :)

Real Techniques Essential Foundation Brush - I have been the loving this brush loads lately, but I use it a the wrong way because I don't use it foundation! I actually really like to use it for concealer under my eye, it works really well with blending and is easier to use than other brushes as they are really soft.

Elegant Touch Rapid Dry Spray - I haven't technically had this for very long, but I have been using alot so I just needed to talk about it! This spray is amazing and dries my nails ever so quickly that when I have finished painting my nails - I am always wanting to go and do something so this spray makes it so much easier to do everything!

Ted Baker Body Soufflé - Something I got in a gift set from Christmas that I have fallen in love with, recently I have been using this on my arms after moisturising as I have really dry skin and this just makes me smell really nice!

Triangle Necklace - The problem with going to college for me is that I can't wear any long necklaces because of my ID badge so instead I wanted to find a short statement one that will sit nicely with everything else that I have. And this one from Store Twenty One was reduced in the sale to £2 and therefore I couldn't resist from buying it! Ever since I have been wearing it with everything, especially with collared shirts and jumpers as it looks amazing.

 Naked 3 - Who would have guessed that this would be in this post?! I freaking love this palette and all the colours in it, every time I have been going out or wanting to do some easy and simple eye makeup I have been going for the palette. The shades on the left hand side are the ones I have been using more than anything else as they are more neutral rose gold.

Sleek Blush in Rose Gold -  This blush suits my skin tone so much, I love the way it looks so natural and gives my skin a natural glow. It also stays on my skin for a long time and works with any looks that I am going for, if you know me then you will know that I am not the biggest fan of blush but something about this one just makes me fall in love!

Soap&Glory Thick and Fast - Another product I have been reaching for lately is this soap and glory mascara! I love wearing mascara on my eyes that give me volume and thicken them up to really enhance my eyes and these make my lashes look so big and amazing.

Revlon Lip Butter in Berry Smoothie - I love the Revlon lip butter range, and one of my current favourites is 'Berry Smoothie' the colour pay off is amazing on my lips and it is really natural so goes well with anything and great to put on in the morning  and then it lasts all day.

NYC Foundation - There is just something about this foundation that I have been loving, at first I really didn't like it but it turns out that I just wasn't using it the right way?! I was applying it with my hands and blending it with my fingers - but now I use it with a stippling/blending brush and use two layers both even to build up the coverage.

Rimmel Salon Pro in Hip Hop - Ahh I have fallen in love with the Salon Pro range that Rimmel have got. I have only got Hip Hop but I love the other shades in the range as well which will be a cheeky purchase soon. The formula of this polish is really weird because it is very watery (well i think it is) but then on your nails it is very pigmented, thick and only needs one coat!

Sally Hansen Nail Growth Serum - This nail serum is no stranger to this blog, I have been recently using this to help with the condition of my nails not only is it helping with the growing of the nails but also with the cuticle area which always gets really dry.

Wow..that was a lot! I need a cup of tea...hope you enjoyed this post and look out for a random favourites type post very soon!

Budget-ish Friendly Gift Guide

Buying gifts for people is something that I hate and love at the same time. The idea of seeing a reaction after reciveing something they have wanted forever is priceless but then it means finding the perfect gift. I am on a budget this christmas, with student rent to pay and everyday life to contend with it really isn't the ideal thing to be buying people expensive presents. I am all about bargain hunting and finding deals and items that are going to make people smile but not make them regift - because lets face it, we all do it!

One thing that I need to do is get myself some partywear! I need something sparkly and pretty to wear for the endless christmas dinners and parties that I have the next month or so!

How are you going? This is a very last minute but one that I hope will help you buy gifts for those in your life who love a bit of beauty. There is everything from budget to high end.

What's In My Handbag| Spring/Summer

Back in December I did a What's in my Handbag post and found it so much fun, so I thought now that spring is here, it is time to switch up the bag and show you again!
What's In My Handbag| Spring/Summer

Okay, first of all the actual bag! How beautiful is this beauty. I recently made this splurge because I was desperate for a smaller bag that was also all spring and summery. Luck was on my side and I had a voucher to spend so I decided to shop on the New Look site and along came this one, and ever since I have loved it! For me, it is the perfect size for everyday and fits everything in! Let's take a good look inside!
What's In My Handbag| Spring/Summer
Purse//Primark - Same as my last post, need a new one but I can't seem to find one that I love! It keeps all my coins and cards in safely.
Headphones//Samsung - These came with my phone and I always have to keep them on me, I love listening to music, pod-cast's and great for you tube videos!
Hand Food//Soap and Glory - Ahhh, this little bottle of amazingness is my life saver. I love carrying around a small bottle of hand cream as it is the easiest thing to use when my hands get dirty.
Mentos// Whether its chewing gum or sweets I need something to have in my bag to snack on when I'm a little peckish and these things are the best thing to have as they are sweet/sour/fruity.
212 Perfume// Of course we have to have some perfume in the bag, I love this one for the summer time because it smells fresh and fruity and no joke with only one spray it lasts you all long.
Deodorant// Why wouldn't you carry a bottle? You are always going to need a spritz of this, or someone else is so I like to carry the compressed bottles with me as it doesn't take up much room.
Phone// Just my phone with my case on, my life.
Makeup Bag//Next - I love carrying a little makeup bag with me in my bag because it is the easiest way to carry all my essentials without stuffing them in one pocket or all over my bag.
What's In My Handbag| Spring/Summer
This is what I keep inside of that little bag!
Hair Bobble// For when my hair is getting on my nerves I need to have a bobble to put it off my face.
Lipstick// This Party Proof lipstick is a great nude to just pop on without having to look in a mirror as it isn't messy.
Powder// Now that I use the Rimmel Powder everyday, I can use the body shop one in my handbag. Its great when you get shiny, oily and comes with a mirror inside.
Lipgloss// If not in the mood for lipstick, I tend to go for a lip gloss and this one from MUA is my favourite because the colour is nude (of course) and it lasts forever.
Mascara// Same as the last one, the No7 mini one, and does its job of being a mascara. Nothing special about it for me but I love using it in an emergency.
Witch Concealer// This is in a shade that needs to be applied after my foundation, and I find that the formula of this concealer is easier to use on the go as it is very creamy.

That's it for this post, I love reading and watching these types of videos and thought it would be fun!

What I Got For Christmas 2015

What I Got For Christmas 2015

Only 360 plus days until Christmas! Too Soon? I'll stop don't worry. I hope you all have had a lovely festive break, enjoyed lots of food and now trying to fit into your skinny jeans. That's me right now. Its been a few days of debating whether or not to do this post but haters going to hate and today I am sharing with you what I got for Christmas 2015,

Blogmas Day 7 || What's in my Handbag? ♥

I don’t know how I have managed to be on this blog for over a year and not posted a what’s in my handbag post! I guess the main reason is because I am always switching up the bags I use, therefore if I was to post the contents it would change the next week! However, I have now found a bag that I will be using all the time and the stuff inside is there to stay!
What's in my Handbag

This is my most used handbag, it is from Store Twenty one and was reduced from £15 to £12! I loved the trapezium shape as well as the gold studded detail along the front. If it appears small on screen then I apologise as looking at it with your own eyes – it is huge! Well, I say big but not for me as I like to have a big bag as I put my whole bedroom in it! Inside is even bigger with two pockets and a zip one so even more room than you will ever need!
Let’s start with what is in my bag!
What's in my Handbag

Purse – This is a very old purse from Primark that I got last summer and haven’t stopped using since, it is the perfect size to fit everything in accordingly and has such a pretty pattern. I have been meaning to replace it but I just haven’t found the perfect one to get in replacement.
Compact Mirror – Again another purchase from Primark that I hauled a few months back it does the job and nothing else really. The sparkly pink top lifts to reveal two mirrors, a small one and a zoomed in one which scares me every time I open it.
Notebook* – My mind is always on the go so I have now started to carry around a notebook with me and even though this is big I love using it. This is from Little Birds and you can find out more about it here.
Deodorant + Hand Food – these two come with me wherever my travels take me. I have to have spray with me all the time for those sweaty situations and of course my trustworthy hand cream from soap and glory which tackles my dry hands.
Ipod + Headphones – When in the car I love listening to music or even playing different games which can become an addiction after a few hours. These headphones are perfect for my weird ears that don’t like to have anything it them. I bought them in the cash and carry for really cheap and love them.
Phone – This isn’t pictured as I use it to take my pictures but I have to of course have my life with me all the time because everything happens on that little device.
Makeup Bag – every girl must needed items in one place. I thought as I have a big bag I might as well but all the beauty related items in one bag so that they are all together. Instead of writing each thing out I took a picture and labelled it all down below after newly teaching myself something on Photoshop.

The I Will Always Repurchase Oath #1

The I Will Always Repurchase Oath
This is new type of post on this blog for a change, not just your usual things. I thought I would sit down and talk about those products that I am always buying and probably will for a long time. Tomorrow you will be seeing a post all about my recent Empties, but I consider that different to this post because here I am basically talking about those HOLY GRAIL items in my stash. And, I quite liked the title of this post too soo..
Simple Kind to Skin Face Wipes/ Yes, face wipes are a big no no. But if they are good quality I really don't see the problem. I only ever buy the big packet and still go through them so quickly, its crazy because my skin relies on them to make it better.
Quinoderm Spot Cream// My solution to every problem on my face. This spot treatment is great at controlling your breakouts as well as helping to calm and get rid of them. I use this religiously every other night, not every night because it is very and I mean very drying on the skin and basically peels everything off but in the long run your skin is much better off.
Clean & Clear Dual Action // Okay, so maybe I am cheating with this a little but even thought I am still going through my first bottle of the wonderful thing I am still allowed to talk about it right? The full review is here, but in a nutshell this moisturiser is great for those of you who want to control your shine, make you face feel nourished at the same time as clearing up your skin.
Soap and Glory Righteous Butter// Oh S&G you are amazing aren't you. No matter which or how many body butters I buy so collect, I always seem to go back to this one from S&G. Why? Because it smells like Jasmine and the scent lasts all day on your body and it sinks in straight away, which a lot of body butter don't do.
Rimmel Stay Matte// When I first bought this, I would not even imagine to have liked it this much but now I can't live without it or even with it. Perfect for shine, amazing extra coverage and lasts you a really long time. It has taken me months to get through one and to say I use it all day it certainly lives up.
Collection Concealer// Won't dabble a lot about this one because you are all already sick to death but  LOVE this stuff and in my lifetime will go through about 100 because its amazing!

What are your holy grail, I will always need to buy you again products?

Everyday Makeup for Autumn

I love doing my makeup but the dark, cold mornings are the worst because there's no light to see what you are doing. For all you know, you could end up walking out having put on everything backwards! Some days during the week, I have time to apply everything - choose a lip stick ect. Other days I have 10 minutes, to apply everything and GO! These are the products that have been my current go to and ones that I know will last, look good and give me a natural everyday look.

Empties #3

Empties

I am the worst at finishing up products, hence why there aren't many empties post on here. I can never seem to stick to one item of makeup or skincare or body and then only use that continuously, until i run out. I like to switch things up and make it a bit more exciting, which then leaves me baffled when youtubers upload empties videos like every month?? How do you use things up so quickly?? It's  beyond me! Anywho.. let's see what I've got through!

Garnier Ultra Dry Deodorant // This is my handbag hero, I love keeping this my bag to use when I am on the go. It isn't scented and doesn't leave any white marks so I love using it!

Clean & Clear Dual Action Moisturiser // This is a product that I do use up quickly due to it being something that I use every single day! I love the way this helps with oil control, breakouts and minimises the appearance of blackheads. It also isn't very thick, so doesn't take forever to sink into my skin on a morning or night and then I can get on with the rest of my face application.

Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Wash // Ahhhh, just thinking about this is making me imagine the smell that this soap has when I use it. It is super citrus and strong but even though it sounds very heavy, it smells heavenly and is so luxurious to say you don't pay very much. I was scared of using this at first because of my skin being super sensitive and this been filled with citrus, but my skin doesn't react with it at all!

VO5 Smoothly Does It // I am always changing and switching up the shampoo I use because I find that my hair gets too used to a product and then doesn't do the job it is meant to be doing. This one however, is one that I can use all the time and my hair loves! It helps with frizz reduction and makes it easier to keep my hair straighter for much longer. I recently however picked up another one from VO5, so looking forward to trying that out!

Quinoderm 10 Spot Treatment // Where do I even start with this? This product is that long term spot treatment that you need in your life. If you are a spot sufferer like me and get them regularly, then buying this will make your life a lot easier, the smallest amount will go such a long way. I apply it at night and get the slightest little bit of a burning sensation when I first put it on, and then it dies down and settles.

NYC Foundation // I loved this in the summer on those lazy days because of the formula being super light, but wouldn't use it again because the packaging it annoying. You can't get all the bits of the foundation out through the pump, it just stops? So, now I am left with a big section of product and no way of using it.

L'Oreal True Match // When I ran out of this, I actually shed a tear. An actual tear. Water and everything. This is something that I cannot now live without, the formula, texture, lasting power - just everything it claims to do - it does. Love, love, love and more love.

Collection Cosmetics Concealer // Haha, if this isn't in an empties then we can't call it an empties post! Will always swear by this concealer and won't use anything else because of the amazing job that it does!

Summer Body Essentials by Kimamely Beauty

Hi everyone, it's Kirstie from Kimamely Beauty here. Huge thanks to Parie for letting me share this post with you all. This is actually a Summer Essentials collaboration, so she's sharing her melt proof makeup must haves over on my blog too! I'm covering the body element of getting summer ready, so grab an ice-cold cocktail, pretend you're lying on a tropical beach and enjoy!

Summer is the season I live for, not only for holidays, but for all the beautiful products that it is finally seasonally-appropriate to use. But that doesn't usually stop me, I'm smelling of coconuts all year round, craving that summer vibe. This year I've made some incredible body product discoveries; here's an edited-down version of what's been sweetening my summer and giving me the glow.

BODY

Although it's a year-round favourite for me, coconut scented products always conjure up images of tropical seascapes. I've been using Hawaiian Tropic for years, so the scent always takes me back to holidays abroad. The latest product in my stash is their Coconut Aftersun Body Butter (£10.99). It has a thick, creamy consistency that is both soothing and hydrating, and the scent is incredible.

For all cooling purposes, The Body Shop Virgin Mojito Body Sorbet (£8) should be your first port of call. I love its delicious zingy scent, and kept in the fridge, it is a refreshing antidote to a long day spent in the sun.

Shower time is well taken care of by Yves Rocher. I've gone mad for their Monoï de Tahiti Lagoon Hair & Body Wash (£3.20). It has the familiar undertones of the coconut scent we know and love, but has a sophisticated and exotic twist. It's the kind of product I'd expect in an expensive Caribbean hotel.

TAN

Another product from the Monoï de Tahiti range that I'm obsessed with is their Precious Dry Oil (£14.90). Perfect for nights out, this beautifully scented dry oil will add a subtle golden glow to boost your tan, making you look irresistible!

Talking of tan, we're all about staying safe in the sun and faking your glow. The pale girl's dream has arrived in the form of the St.Tropez Gradual Tan In-shower Lotion (£14.50), but if you're not of the pasty variety, you may want to opt for a tanning mousse. I'd recommend the Vita Liberata NKD Skin Superfast Tan Mousse (£14.95). Sunkissed skin in an hour? Yes please.

FEET

As body parts go, feet just aren't nice. But there are a few things you can use to help them on their way. Summer = sandal season, and no one wants flaky feet. Soap & Glory Heel Genius (£5.50) is a foot cream with a nourishing balmy texture. It helps to soften dry skin to give a little bit of life back to lacklustre tootsies.

I've been going mad over the Tea Tree & Peppermint Deep Moisturising Foot Packs (£1.96) recently. Slip a pair of these pre-soaked socks on and your feet are cooled, soothed and moisturised. Yes they might look a bit silly, but your feet will thank you. They're a must after long summer nights spent partying or lazy a afternoon's sightseeing.

Finally, a spritz of a summery scent always brings back fond summer memories. Why not pick up a perfume in duty free before you head to your destination? The scent will forever remind you of that trip! For me, the fruity and feminine Marc Jacobs Oh, Lola! (£39) will always take me back to being in Zante last year. It is lightweight and refreshing, so makes a great summer scent, and with it's combo of raspberry, pear and peony, it smells a bit different to a lot of other fruity florals on the market.

I hope you guys have enjoyed reading my summer essentials! It's been great fun collaborating with Parie, don't forget to check out her post over on my blog, Kimamely Beauty.
