Antipodes Round 2

I first discovered the brand Antipodes around the beginning of this year. Their Rejoice face cream changed my post winter dry skin for the better. This time, I have more incredible products to share that will be taking my skin into the winter and more or less after too.

Skincare Diaries: Antipodes

For as long as I can remember Antipodes has been raved about within the beauty world, when I got the chance to try some of their products out, I couldn't be more excited. Over the past few weeks, I have been incorporating these into my morning and evening skincare routine to see how they work and how my skin reacts. I have combination skin, so oily in some parts and dry in others with breakouts too - which I have managed very well recently and seem to be under control. As always, I tend to be scared to use new products in case my skin reacts but these have all worked pretty well.

Antipodes Honey Range + Discount Code

Antipodes are one of the many brands that I have discovered through blogging. A brand that I have always loved and never been disappointed with. I have pretty much reviewed their whole range of products, which you can read about and dive into ... but today, we are focused on their famous and clean 'honey' range. I have been using the day cream, eye cream and mask for some time now and all three are incredible!

January Favourites

Happy February, everyone! As we kick off the second month of 2024, I thought it would be fitting to share some of my favorite beauty discoveries from January. From refreshing skincare gems to makeup products that deliver a natural glow, these items have truly become staples in my routine.

Antipodes Baptise Water Gel: A Burst of Hydration*

Experience a cooling sensation and kickstart your morning routine with the Antipodes Baptise Water Gel. This lightweight gel moisturiser not only feels refreshing on the skin but also provides a burst of hydration that lasts throughout the day. It's the perfect pick-me-up for tired and dull skin, leaving me feeling revitalized and ready to face the day.

Antipodes Anoint Eye Gel: The Wake-Up Call for Tired Eyes*

Say goodbye to tired-looking eyes with the Antipodes Anoint Eye Gel. This little miracle worker not only makes me look more awake, but its refreshing formula is ideal for both morning and night use. The cooling sensation helps reduce puffiness, and the lightweight texture absorbs effortlessly, making it a must-have in my skincare routine.

Charlotte Tilbury Glowgasm Light Wand: Subtle Glow for Everyday Radiance

For that perfect everyday glow, the Charlotte Tilbury Glowgasm Light Wand has become my go-to. The wand applicator makes it easy to apply precisely where you want it, and the formula delivers a gorgeous, subtle radiance. I love pairing it with powder blush for a long-lasting, lit-from-within glow that lasts all day.

ELF Halo Glow: A Primer Rediscovery

Rediscovering the ELF Halo Glow has been a game-changer this month. This primer not only gives the skin a luminous boost but does so without leaving a greasy finish. It creates a smooth canvas for makeup application and helps enhance the longevity of my makeup. It's a gem that deserves a spot in everyone's makeup routine. They have different shades too, so there is something for everyone!

January has been a month of refreshing skincare and subtle radiance, thanks to these fantastic products. Whether you're looking to hydrate and awaken your skin or achieve that perfect everyday glow, these favourites have you covered. Here's to a year filled with fabulous beauty finds and radiant skin!

Antipodes Holy Grails

All I seem to be taking about lately is skincare on here and on instagram, but I seem to be getting a slight obsession with it. My skin has become so important to me and the way my makeup looks is down to my skin. Antipodes have been a brand that I have loved for over a year now, and each time I use their products I notice an instant difference in my skin - without a doubt. Even my mum does! That is the biggest seal of approval for sure. I have pretty much talked about every product from them on here ... but these 4 are my current go-to's, holy grail status!

6 Things To Do During Self-Isolation

What a crazy world we are living in at the moment. It all seems a bit surreal, I keep thinking this is all a dream/we're living the life of characters in a movie or something. We're a few weeks into the UK lock down and my life has changed so much. I work as a teacher and schools were shut around 3 weeks ago, we're teaching online now, which is new in itself and working from home is a completely different concept to me. I'm still trying to find that balance between sleeping and working, hopefully I'll crack it soon!

In today's post, I am sharing with you some ideas of keeping yourself busy/entertained during this lock down period or if you're in self-isolation for any reason. There's a little bit of everything in here, let me know if you have any suggestions too!

Glowing Summer Skin When You Are Oily AF

I love a good glow. I mean who doesn't? The summer means only one thing for me and that is bronzed, dewy and gorgeous skin. Well, in my dreams this is how I envision myself looking but when you have oily skin...its a little bit tricky to get that sort of look. But, fear not. I seem to have got the look nailed (well on a good day) which means that my skin can look gorgeous and illuminated but shine can still be controlled.

Skincare First Impressions #1

My post man has been delivering me a lot of skincare recently and I am so happy and thankful. I think PR or samples are something that I love and am always so grateful for - its like its my birthday whenever a parcel comes! This past week I have been trying some new in bits from Antipodes, Dermalogica and Shiseido and thought I would do a sort of first impressions post and then hopefully review them fully in the future. After a week back teaching actual humans, my skin needs all the love!

Bedtime Rituals

A few weeks ago, the most random parcel arrived at my doorstep. It was from REN Skincare in the US. I was so confused, as I haven't given them my address. Then I got a sense of excitement because REN are one brand, I have always wanted to try. Soon after, I got confused again. As you can tell, I am still a bit all over the place - but I wanted to say thank you - if you're reading this and sent me this parcel because my sleeping pattern and bedtime routine has never been better. Since, going back after half term my body has managed to get itself into a routine and doing little things before going to bed has made the biggest difference to my quality of sleep.

Products That Got Me Through January

January always feels like the LONGEST month. Payday seems like 100 days away, the winter cold drags on and on and everyone just seems to be really down. I've picked myself up by varying my routines, having more pamper time and enjoying more wonderful products.

Currently Loving #7

Happy May! The months are flying by and I am loving a whole new set of products. From skincare to makeup, there's a whole mix! My aim in April was to really shop my stash, use products that have been collecting dust and trying my hand at new products too.

L'Oreal Foundation (full review)
I have no bad words to say about this foundation, none. This is actually my second bottle and I can't imagine life without it. It gives me medium coverage for everyday, lasts on my face through work and hides everything. The biggest positive for me is that despite it having quite a fragrant smell to it, my skin doesn't break out and I haven't broken out whilst using it.

MAC Soar Lipstick with Fenty Gloss Bomb in Fu$$y
This lip combination is one that I can't get enough of! Soar is a stunning lip liner from MAC and one that I have used for years, when they realised the lipstick form - it took me seconds to order it and I am so glad I did. This shade is the perfect dark, mauve pink nude and just looks gorgeous. When paired with the Fenty gloss on top, my lips are in heaven. This gloss isn't sticky or irritating, like some are. Its lightweight and easy to wear - so no hair sticking on the lips!

My under eyes have become so dry recently. When I don't drink enough water, they really suffer and more than ever a few weeks ago they were horrible. They hurt to rub and there was so much flaky skin. The only thing that helped them and restored them back to normal was this eye cream from Antipodes. It was soothing on the very sensitive area and provided it with some moisture. I popped it in the fridge a few nights and the cooling sensation on my eyes was so nice.

Sunday Riley U.F.O Oil
SR is a very luxury skincare brand, this is only the second item from them that I have ever tried but I am keen to try so much more. This oil was one I bought from someone on Instagram, who was selling a bottle only 1/4 for £25  - a bargain! I apply this on my chin every night because the combination of ingredients help the spots stay at bay, even when its the time of the month. It keeps them away and I couldn't be without it.

Zara Perfume
On a recent trip to the beloved Zara, I picked up one of their perfumes to try and I am madly in love. This one is my everyday work scent, a quick spritz and I'm good to go. Its very floral and sweet, which is what I love for work and the scent *actually* lasts on me for a few hours. I just loveeee it.

Lifestyle

I am loving green tea at the moment, I seem to be drinking like 6 cups a day. Its very good for you and at work instead of coffee with lots of sugar in, this is much better.
In the TV world there are so many things at the moment. Jane the Virgin is currently on its final run and the emotions are high. I am so invested in the series, the characters and the storyline that I don't want it to end!! There is also Station 19, which is a Grey's spin-off, and the drama that happens is so interesting! I went to see Avengers: Endgame last week and my goodness it was incredible.

Winter Sun Preparation

All being well, my friend and I will be heading off to Croatia on Saturday for some much needed R&R! Like everyone, we've had the most hectic year and she's even graduated during all the madness! As a treat and celebration, we decided to book a few days away during October half term and I for one can't wait. We've taken all the precautions, have everything ready and can't wait to hopefully catch some winter sun! As well as working this week, I've also been getting myself ready for the holiday and here are some of the standouts for me...

Winter Essentials

W for wet, I for ice, N for never, T for terrible, E for ew and R for rain. What does it spell  - WINTER! In the second part of my winter series, I am sharing with you all my essentials for the mouth, body and skin. Whether you're a beauty fanatic or lazy girl, these products are bound to help you in someway.

2019 Standouts

Happy New Year! I can't believe we're in 2020 - it just sounds odd. Last year was a tough one, it had its highs and lows, and I am quite happy to see the back of it if I'm honest. The start of last year, around this time was very tough in my work life.

Everything seemed to be getting too much to handle, but I made it through. Then in the middle of the year, my lovely grandma passed away so suddenly - and a few days before my birthday too, which was tough. Everything seemed to be going wrong, and life has just been all over the place. I feel like my space on the internet has suffered because of it too, but my NY resolution is to come back with A BANG.

I'm having a fresh start, keeping positive and ready to take the year ahead on with every inch of my body. I'm so excited to share with you today, some products that I have loved over the last year. Products that I can see myself loving for a very long time...

Currently Loving #9

I love it when I come across products that are amazing, what a way to share the love then in a good old favourite posts. I'm a creature of bad habit when it comes to these posts as I tend to use the same things everyday rather than trying new things out, however I am doing my best to mix things up as often as possible. Hopefully, that means more of these!
