A year ago I would have NEVER EVER worn anything more than a nude lip because I was petrified, and thought that it wouldn't look nice. Then I came to the realisation that I can wear any colour of lipstick I want, as long as I wear it right and don't go too bold too quickly. Here is your ultimate guide to wear bold lip colours!

Christmas is over and the streamers from the New Year’s party are all in the bin. You’re packing away the decorations and getting ready to go back to work. With the highlights of the winter’s calendar done and dusted, and many more weeks of cold days and dark nights to endure, it can be all too easy to start feeling a little gloomy at this time of year.
But you don’t have to let the ‘January blues’ spoil the start of your new year. With a bit of forward planning and creative thinking, you can turn your frown upside down and start feeling more like yourself again.
Lets' Talk; Dealing with Stress.
Saturday, October 4
Stress. The word is quite scary isn't it? But a word and feeling that we all have to deal with, some point in our life there will be times where we have to 'stress'. But don't be alarmed and have a breakdown I have a few helpful tips to help you out, and I've come to the point in my life where all I seem to do is stress and panic. Ultimately, relieving stress and calming ourselves down - whether through attending therapy, practicing self-care, or, through alternative and natural methods such as the use of terpenes - provides clear health benefits to the human body that cannot be denied.
Stress is a type of feeling that we get when we react to particular events and situations, it's basically your body's way of facing the challenge and preparing to meet that tough situation but with lots of other things mixed in like alertness and strength. So, what exactly is stress?
Some Handy Tips!
![]() |
Image Relieve the Stress - If you need something to help relieve you of the stress and help you calm down, try taking some psychoactive gummies. They can promote relaxation, foster sleep quality, calm nervousness, and support general mental health. |
Get Some Sleep - Such a basic tip. but one that I and so many other people forget. Between school work, different activities and meeting up with friends, it can be really hard to get enough sleep, especially during the week when are brains are working super hard. They say that we all should really get about 9 hours sleep, but that seems like an impossible amount of time right? Well its not! To get every hour of sleep, cut back on watching TV or engaging in a lot of screen time in the late evening hours (i am guilty of this big time). Another thing is that try to avoid drinking caffeine late in the day because it won't kick in until later in the evening when you are ready to sleep.
Focus on your strengths - I also recommend spending some time really thinking about the things you’re good at, and find ways to do more of those things because trust me they will make you happy. Focusing on your strengths will help you keep your stresses down a little. For me, I find something relaxing like blogging! I love doing this when I feel stressed because it calms me down a little bit and reminds me that I can breathe.
Talk to someone - Its so much easier dealing with stress if you talk to someone about what it is that is bothering you so much, you may think that they don't understand but in fact they understand more than you think and will help you overcome your problem.
I decided to ask some of my friends too about how they deal with stress, and this is what they had to say..
Nicole - 'Talk to your mum about it if it gets tough, this means you can express you're feelings and have a good cry and not take it out on your friends because if they react in a bad way then you might loose them. Have a journal and write down any worries and thoughts and then you can think easily when your mind is clear on how to resolve them'
Aamira - 'If you feel that it's getting too much ie. the workload, the revision ect. take a break! Watch tv, browse the internet or get something to eat but make sure to limit your break time because the more you rest, the less motivated you'll be to work and the more work load and stress you'll have to deal with.'
Rachel - 'Listening to calming music, or roll around on the floor. Odd but it works'
If you deal with stress then let me know your tips on how you manage with it, and if you ever need someone to talk that isn't your friend or family member then feel free to talk to me!

Make-up Organisation| Tips and Tricks
Thursday, September 18
Before September came around I had to make sure that I gutted and cleaned every inch of my room - most importantly my makeup area. dun dun dun... but after plucking up the courage to do it I spent an entire Sunday morning tidying up the nooks and crannies of my makeup 'area'. Thought I would document my time and show you how I managed to do it all within a few hours.
I don't have the biggest makeup collection, but what I do have to doubles of everything and frankly things that I haven't worn in a really really long time.
I have the Ikea Chest Drawer thing, it has three draws and then this top section as well. In the first draw i keep all my makeup and skincare and then the top holds all my clear storage that looks really pretty. I am always getting things out to use and then am far too lazy to then put them back in the right place and then it leads to having everything everywhere and no room to breathe.
The first thing I did was empty all my makeup and skincare bits on to the floor and sort them into piles of stuff. Hiding in the corner is the two pots of my very dirty makeup brushes, along with lips at the top right, then face, cheeks, eye shadow, eyes and then skin. This made it a whole lot easier to see what I own and to start the next stage. This is the 'Clean and Get Rid Of Stage' here you need to seriously decide what is worth keeping that you will carry on using and the things that you haven't touched or can't remember about and bin those. I will admit that if you are a beauty lover like me, you tend to hold on to things because of the price, or the memories that come with it. But I was being really brutal this time!
Eventually, I managed to sort through everything and have my breakfast whilst doing so.The end result made me feel proud and very pleased with myself. The draw is now in different sections instead of all jumbled up. In the top left long box we have skincare, below that in the tiny box is full of 'more lip produtcs'.. In the two bigger boxes I decided to have a box full of eyes and various face products and then the other has all my base products and cheek products. Then a body butter, deodorant can, makeup bag, headphones and brushes (which should really be clean now!).
On top I managed to nicely organise my storage so that all my lipsticks/glosses/balms are together in height ish order. I have a thing about things that need to look right. All my nail polishes are sorted by brand (spy all the barrym gelly's!) and then the draws have the smaller eye shadow palettes in along with some perfume and nail care essentials that I need to use more.

Getting Organised| Why Lists Are You're Best Friend
Friday, September 5
![]() |
IMAGE CREDIT Here is a guest post I did recently.. |
Lists. Such a simple word yet to me and many of you it can mean our whole life, yet there are some people that try to mentally remember everything when they don't need to! Make a list, whether it be on a scrap piece of paper, a notebook or even on your phone; they make all the difference. Here are a few reasons why they are about to become your best friend..
1. A great way to organise your information
If you don’t organize your information, it can be thrown everywhere even a notice board can look messy, but if you take some time to separate it out into different topics or categories it’s a lot less messier and easier to understand. If you're moving house then list what items will go into what room. Simple!
2. They provide a simple structure
If you have to explain something to another human then a list is the easiest way to explain what you mean without using all these fancy diagrams and confusing everyone to death. All you need is the topic of the list and that is it!
3. Plan out your day
If you have a busy day or even week ahead then create a list of what you need to do and order them in highest priority and be sure to do them first. You can break the list up if there is so much to do and remember to ALWAYS give yourself a break! If you have lots of things to do, its much simpler to tackle them in smaller chunks then all in one go.
5. Make a list about anything
Whatever job you may be doing I am pretty sure that there are things you need to do in work and outside of work, sometimes its the simplest tasks that we tend to forget. If you're a blogger like me, then I love writing lists of different post ideas ect to keep me on track. Along with general everyday to-do lists to help me live a easier life.
6. They can be fun too
Lists don't only have to be used for all the serious things in life, but also the fun things! I keep a list of all my tv programmes that I watch, I seem to have that many I have to keep track of when the new season airs in the autumn/summer time - without this long list then I would be lost.

A Lazy Girl's Guide to Summer Beauty!
Tuesday, June 24
Recently I got the chance to guest post over on Taylor's blog, and would just like to say thanks to her for the chance. This is 'A Lazy Girl's Guide to Summer Beauty'! I thought of putting the post on here as well as I love it that much.
Today I am going to take you through some easy steps to get you ready for the summer, and if you're anything like me - then you will agree that the summer brings out the laziness inside of you. No one wants to spend hours doing their hair and makeup, right? Summer is meant to be easy, carefree and fun! So here are a few cheats which will mean spending less time in front of the mirror. Shh!
1. BB Cream - No one has the patience to throw on a sunscreen then a foundation ect. Instead going with a BB Cream is the easier way out because you are combining everything in one. Garnier and a lot of other brands have started making ones with SPF included which keeps you protected from the sun.
2. Face Wipes - It's a big no no in the beauty world to use face wipes, but if you don't have a lot on your face everyday I don't see the problem with using good quality ones like these Simple ones.
3. Dry Shampoo - If you're wanting to make your hair last all day or can't be bothered to wash it, then dry shampoo will be your best friend. Why? This will absorb all the oil in your hair and make it look fresh and brand new.
4. Spray on Moisturiser - Moisturiser is like Marmite. You either love to cover your skin with lots of cream or you complain of sticky, non-absorbent formulas. Thanks to Vaseline this spray on moisturiser will absorb straight into your skin! One quick spray and you're ready to go.
5. Waterproof Mascara - This stuff is amazing in the hot weather because the waterproof formula stays on your eyelashes for ages, even though its a pain to get off.
6. Nail Wraps - If you are a big fan of nail art but are far too lazy to sit there and paint them all, then nail wraps are the greatest inventions! Long lasting and won't take you all day.
7. Texture Spray - Along with dry shampoo I love to use texturing spray to add some extra boost to your hair and it will help with those beachy waves.
Tips for Balancing School Life+Blogging!
Tuesday, May 13
You're currently reading this post as I sit one of my AS Level Exams! As a full time student that has gone through her GCSE's and now doing her A-Levels I can tell you that it is easy to manage your school/work life with your blogging life. It sounds hard and complicated but trust me, you can do it and here are a few of my tips and tricks.
ORGANISATION+PLANNING
It sounds so obvious, but yet so many people forget. You need to be on top of your game to manage a blog and your school work. Take time to think about blog posts that you want to make, I tend to get ideas in lessons and quickly write them down on my hand to go home and write down correctly - this way you won't get 'writers block'. If you know when things need to be handed in at school, make sure you get posts written before the deadline so that you can focus on the work at school rather than sit writing a blog post.
BULK PHOTOGRAPHING+WRITING
I tend to spend a Saturday at the end/start of the month taking lots of photos of products ect that I know I want to get up soon. I like to do this because my mind is a at rest. Save them in a folder on your computer so you know you have them. This means you have photo's ready to use when you decide to write a post, and you can still take photos whenever you want - its just easier to have some stored. Weekends are the best time to blog in my opinion, with homework that might need to be in the next day you find it difficult to write and study at the same time. Take a Saturday morning to spend a few hours writing up posts and scheduling them to upload whenever you want them to. Makes life easier, that's what I do - for example I am writing this post in April and you're seeing it in May!
DON'T FEEL PRESSURED
If you can't get a post up then don't worry, you aren't hurting anyone by not posting on a certain week or day. Take a break and post when you feel ready and take your time writing; the last thing you want is to be writing a post when you are super stressed or worried. It doesn't matter if your blog is as perfect as someone else's or you don't have a review about a product that another blog has, as long as you are enjoying blogging and doing what you're doing then leave it be. Your blog shines in its own way.
Only a few tips and tricks can help you a lot, and I still find it hard to manage both but find your own way. Let me know your ways!
Why Dry Shampoo is your Best Friend!
Thursday, April 3
Over the last few weeks,I have become very reliant on the wonderful bottle of dry shampoo that is in my draw! Why? Well because it makes me life easier and so much less hassle! Let's run through why dry shampoo is already my best friend and will be yours soon!
What is Dry Shampoo?
Is a powder that is used to clean hair without having to wash it and it getting wet. The ingredients that it is made with soak up the oil and dirt on the scalp, leaving your hair looking refreshed and good as washed hair. Dry shampoo can be used on all types of hair. It comes in various forms to choose, and different smells, and types depending on your hair!
Why is it so good? Well..
- Saves Time!
If you are in a rush, and don't seem to have enough time to wash your hair and then set it properly then you just have to spray some into your hair and rub it in. Instead of having to wash your hair 4 times a week, you can only wash it twice by substituting washing for dry shampooing!
- Less Heat
When you wash your hair, you have to then dry it and then either curl or straighten it. Using dry shampoo means that you won't have to have as much heat applied to your hair and makes your hair healthier in the long run.
- Volume
If you hair is feeling flat and lifeless, then you can use a spray of dry shampoo to give it that extra oomph and blast of volume! By using it the night before, you will get added volume,
- Portable
You don't have to carry all your tools around with you when you're away if you have this bottle of saviour with you, it comes in travel sizes so you can pop it in your overnight bag or handbag and use when needed.
There are so many dry shampoo's out there, many that may work for others and not you! My favourite brand is by far Batiste and the one pictured at the top, is my current scent!

Autumn Ready Skin ♥
Thursday, September 12
We are in AUTUMN! I love this month, there are so many things about it that I just want to marry the season. As this season begins and we draw closer into the colder, winter months your skin really needs looking after! This is really a Teen Talk Tuesday..however my Tuesday posts for now are TheSoProject, so I thought that this can have it's own post!
Even though I adore the summer months, the warm weather, holidays and frequent dips in the sea..it can play serious havoc with your skin even if you have been looking after it. This is why autumn is a great time to scrub away all the damage that the summer has done to your skin and properly prep it for the colder months.! So let's begin to scrub away summer! First of all run a nice warm bath and scrub away all fake tan and dead skin that tends to pile up during the summer months. Think of yourself as getting rid of the old and getting ready for the new!
The weather in the winter months can make your skin go one of two ways: either you will have a beautiful inner glow complete with rosy cheeks and lips, or you will look grey, washed out and in need of a skincare overhaul. This is why it is so important that you switch your skincare products to those that will protect your skin against the colder elements and leave your skin looking and feeling radiant!
In the summer months make-up should look as natural as possible, however when it comes to autumn and winter it’s time to vamp things up. Think about the colours you usually associate with falling leaves during autumn and try and co-ordinate your make-up accordingly. Red, gold and brown are all great colours to experiment with, however just make sure that you pick the right shades for your skin tone otherwise you could end up looking washed out.
