Mixsoon Review from Yesstyle

When it comes to Korean skincare, YesStyle is the ultimate treasure trove for cult-favourite products that deliver results. As someone constantly experimenting with skincare, I’ve had my eyes on a few Mixsoon gems that promise everything from hydration to soothing irritated skin. Today, I’m breaking down six highly-raved-about products to give you a critical but glowing review of their strengths and where they might fall a little short.

---
1. Mixsoon Soy Bean Milk Pad

**Claim to Fame:** Gentle exfoliation and hydration in one swipe.
**The Experience:** From the first use, these pads impressed me. The skin feels plump and nourished after use, and the brightening effects are almost instant. Perfect for days when your skin needs a quick pick-me-up, but don't expect it to replace a weekly exfoliator for deeper skin renewal.
**Final Verdict:** A short-term glow-giver that delivers on hydration, but if you’re looking for long-term texture refinement, pair it with a stronger exfoliant in your routine.

---

2. Centella Sun Cream
**Claim to Fame:** Lightweight protection with soothing properties.
**The Experience:** This sun cream has an airy, non-greasy texture that blends beautifully into the skin. It works well under makeup and doesn’t leave a white cast—huge wins for daily wear. However, if you’re out in intense sun for prolonged periods, you may need to reapply more frequently as it leans lighter in SPF durability.
**Final Verdict:** A must-have for its consistency and comfort, but reapplication is key for full coverage.

---

3. Mixsoon Centella Toner
**Claim to Fame:** Soothes and calms redness while cooling the skin.
**The Experience:** True to its claims, this toner is a lifesaver on sensitive or irritated skin days. It feels ultra-refreshing, and the centella does a stellar job of calming inflammation. That said, the watery texture might feel too lightweight for drier skin types who prefer a toner with more substance.
**Final Verdict:** A skin-calming superstar, but those with dry skin may need to layer up for sufficient hydration.

---

4. Mixsoon Glacier Serum
**Claim to Fame:** Instant hydration boost with a lightweight feel.
**The Experience:** The serum sinks in like a dream, leaving no sticky residue—perfect for layering. Its cooling effect is noticeable and delightful, especially in warmer weather. While it gives a burst of hydration, it might need some backup from a heavier moisturizer if your skin leans toward the dry end.
**Final Verdict:** A refreshing hydration shot that’s perfect for layering but could use some more oomph for deeper nourishment.

---

5. Mixsoon Bean Essence
**Claim to Fame:** Doubles as a hydrating serum and makeup primer.
**The Experience:** This essence is surprisingly versatile! It creates a smooth base for makeup while keeping the skin hydrated and soft. However, it doesn’t control oil as much, so oily skin types like mine, might want to pair it with a mattifying primer for longevity.
**Final Verdict:** A multitasking gem for makeup lovers, but it might not be your best friend on extra-humid days.

---

6. Mixsoon Ferment and Centella Essence
**Claim to Fame:** Travel-friendly and soothing, especially post-flight.
**The Experience:** This essence is my go-to for when my skin feels tight and stressed after a long flight. It works quickly to calm irritation and hydrate parched skin. The compact size makes it a dream for travel, though it might not be enough on its own if your skin is severely dehydrated.
**Final Verdict:** A travel must-have for instant skin relief, but keep a rich moisturizer handy for added hydration.

7. Mixsoon Bean Oil Cleanser
**Claim to Fame:** A nourishing yet effective first cleanser that melts away makeup and impurities.
**The Experience:** This oil cleanser is a dream come true for makeup wearers and sunscreen lovers. The bean-derived formula emulsifies beautifully with water, transforming into a milky texture that sweeps away even stubborn mascara without leaving a greasy residue. It rinses off cleanly, leaving the skin soft and hydrated—a rarity for oil cleansers, which can sometimes feel heavy.

8. Mixsoon Centella Cleansing Foam
**Claim to Fame:**A gentle, soothing second cleanser with calming centella.
**The Experience:** Once your makeup and sunscreen are gone, this cleansing foam steps in to deliver a satisfying yet non-drying cleanse. The centella-infused formula feels incredibly soothing, making it perfect for sensitive or irritated skin days. The foam is soft and cushiony, leaving your skin feeling fresh, calm, and never tight.

Double Cleanse Done Right
These two Mixsoon cleansers are a match made in skincare heaven. Start with the Bean Oil Cleanser to melt away the day, then follow with the Centella Cleansing Foam for a refreshing and calming finish. Together, they deliver a thorough cleanse without compromising the skin’s natural moisture balance—a critical step in achieving that coveted Korean skincare glow.

Mixsoon products shine for their lightweight formulas and soothing benefits, making them ideal for sensitive and combination skin types. While they excel in short-term results and layering ability, some may require complementary products to address deeper hydration or oil control needs.

Ready to try these goodies? Head to YesStyle and don’t forget to use **PARIEJOSHI13** for 10% off your haul! Your skin will thank you.

My Honest Review of Revive Collagen – Does It Really Work?

In August 2022, I first gave Revive Collagen a shot to boost my nutrient intake and combat dry skin during the summer. Recently, the brand reached out and invited me to try their product again to see how my body responds nearly two years later. After a solid month of using the supplement, here’s what I’ve noticed:

**Week 1 – The Slow Start**

To be honest, the first week didn’t bring any dramatic changes. It was more about me remembering to take the supplement everyday. Now, I wasn’t expecting magic overnight because, let’s face it, even the best beauty elixirs need some time to work their wonders! So, I kept it up, trusting the process. In the first week, I experimented with both methods of taking the sachet to see which I liked better. I tried mixing it with water, but I struggled to finish it. Taking the sachet all at once turned out to be much easier.

**Week 2 – Hello, Supple Skin!**

By week two, I noticed a subtle difference. My skin started to feel softer and more supple, like it had been infused with some extra hydration. It’s the kind of difference where your skin feels like it’s had a good night's sleep every night. I began to notice that even my makeup was going on a little smoother. It was like my face was finally getting the nourishment it needed! Especially after a summer of being in the sun, this was very well needed.

**Week 3 – Let There Be Glow**

This is where the magic happened. Week three rolled around, and my skin looked noticeably brighter. I had this natural glow that didn’t look like I had slathered on a ton of highlighter. It was like that healthy, lit-from-within radiance that everyone craves. I found myself wearing less makeup and just enjoying my newfound glow. It’s such a confidence boost to look in the mirror and see your skin genuinely looking more alive.

**Week 4 – More Than Just Skin Deep**

Week four aligned with *that time of the month*, and usually, I’m dealing with a mix of dull skin, bloating, and low energy. But this time, I felt different. I still had some of the usual period symptoms, but I felt more energised than usual, which I totally didn’t expect. It made me wonder if the collagen was helping to balance things out a little.

**So, What’s the Hype About Collagen?**

Collagen is basically the building block of our skin, hair, and nails. As we age, our body’s natural collagen production slows down, which leads to fine lines, sagging skin, and a loss of that youthful bounce. That’s why supplementing with collagen has become a beauty must-have – it helps replenish what our body loses over time.

The benefits? Think smoother, plumper skin, reduced appearance of fine lines, stronger nails, and even healthier hair. Some even say it supports joint health (which is a plus if you’re into fitness like me). Revive Collagen in particular is known for being a high-quality, marine collagen supplement, which is great because marine collagen is more easily absorbed by the body.

 **Where Can You Get It?**

If you’re interested in giving Revive Collagen a try, you can find it directly on their [official website](https://revivecollagen.com). It’s also available at a few beauty retailers online, so keep an eye out for special offers or bundles. One thing I liked is that they offer subscriptions if you’re planning on making collagen a long-term addition to your beauty routine.

**Final Thoughts – Is It Worth It?**

In my opinion, Revive Collagen is worth trying if you’re looking for a boost to your skincare routine from the inside out. I’m happy with the results I saw after a month – my skin feels softer, looks brighter, and I’ve noticed an unexpected uptick in my energy levels. I am now going to purchase my own supply for the next month as I’m definitely going to keep using it to see if these benefits keep up or get even better. If you’re thinking about adding collagen to your daily routine, Revive Collagen is a great place to start.

Have you tried Revive Collagen, or are you curious about collagen supplements in general?

A Love Letter to the Elemis Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm

Today, I'm here to share my newfound love for a skincare gem that has truly transformed my daily routine - the Elemis Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm. If you've been on the fence about trying it, or if you're just curious about the hype, grab a cup of your favorite beverage and settle in, because I've got all the information for you!

First things first, let's talk about the one thing that has always made or broken a product for me - breakouts. The fear of introducing a new product to my routine only to find out that it's the culprit behind an unexpected breakout. The Elemis Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm is an absolute dream for sensitive skin. I've been using it religiously for weeks now, and not a single unwanted visitor has popped up. It's like a skincare superhero - effective without causing chaos on my face.

One of the game-changers for me is its texture. The balm effortlessly glides onto the skin, melting away the day's impurities, makeup, and stress. But what's even better is that it doesn't fog up or go misty during use. How many times have you tried a cleanser that left you feeling like you just stepped out of a steam room? Not with this balm. It keeps things clear and easy, giving you a spa-like experience in the comfort of your own bathroom.

Now, let's talk about the elephant in the room - the scent. Brace yourselves, because this cleansing balm packs a punch in the fragrance department. The smell is undeniably strong, but here's the twist - it's a good strong. It's the kind of scent that instantly transports you to a luxurious spa, surrounded by calming aromas that make you forget about the hustle and bustle of the day. Personally, I love it. It's like a little moment of self-care every time I use it.

And can we talk about the packaging? Elegant, sleek, and oh-so-satisfying to open. The jar adds a touch of sophistication to my skincare shelf, and the satisfaction of scooping out just the right amount of balm is oddly satisfying. It's the little things, right?

In conclusion, the Elemis Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm is a true winner in my skincare arsenal. It doesn't just cleanse; it pampers, soothes, and elevates my routine to a whole new level. If you're in the market for a cleanser that won't break you out, won't leave you in a fog, and comes with a scent that feels like a mini retreat, then look no further. Elemis, you've won my heart!

Topicals: Worth the Hype?

It has been a while ... apologies for the very long absence! I'm hoping to be back and active again, but I'm not promising anything! I've missed blogging and there is so much that I need to talk about. Starting things off with a brand focus 'Topicals'. A brand that I have always heard and see but never went for. I bought their 'Faded' serum about 6 months ago and then they kindly sent their moisturiser a few weeks back and I have some thoughts on them both ,,,

Temple Spa Most Revealing Glowing Skin Oxygen Peel Review

For the next few blog posts you can just expect lots of reviews! I've found so many new gems in my beauty routine that I need to share and shout about. Today we are starting with the  Temple Spa Most Revealing Glowing Skin Oxygen Peel*. I very kindly received this in PR a few months back and have been low key obsessed. It was briefly mentioned in my currently loving post the other week but the love I have for it is unreal.

Currently Loving #12

I have been quite absent from the blog recently (more about that at the end) but can you believe we're in July?! Currently Loving #11

Marvellous May! We are nearly half way through 2021 and this side of the year definitely looks better than the start. I get my second vaccine this weekend and I could not be more excited. April saw lesson observations, work load increasing, meeting people outdoors, getting my nails done and so many more wonderful things!

Heimish All Clean Range Review

When it comes to innovative and life changing skincare, Korean beauty is where it is at! They have the widest range of products and there is something for every one and every different style of skin type. I've been tests the All Clean range* from Heimish for the past month and I have some thoughts...

Spring Beauty Transition

I am loving this Spring season. Compared to last year, when we were in the first lockdown, this one has a lot more benefits and positives. It also given me a chance to change my beauty routine for the season. When I was indoors all the time last year, I didn't really bother but this time of year from April to June is my favourite!

Skincare First Impressions #1

My post man has been delivering me a lot of skincare recently and I am so happy and thankful. I think PR or samples are something that I love and am always so grateful for - its like its my birthday whenever a parcel comes! This past week I have been trying some new in bits from Antipodes, Dermalogica and Shiseido and thought I would do a sort of first impressions post and then hopefully review them fully in the future. After a week back teaching actual humans, my skin needs all the love!

Let's Talk Skin

My skin is something I have always spoken about on here, the highs and low but I don't think I've actually ever shared my face. Why? Probably because I'm ashamed and embarrassed. Until recently, I never felt confident without makeup on, hated anyone coming round the house if I didn't have some concealer or, never went out for five minutes without covering my face. Such little things but things that have a massive impact on your mental health. Then in October, I decided to change things. I started to become more confident in my own skin and let me tell you, there is no better feeling. I still have awful days, spotty skin days, hormones playing up - but I'm smiling and surely thats the main thing?

Deviant Skincare Gentle Resurfacing Liquid Review

Deviant Skincare is a brand I am constantly seeing pop up on instagram. After the queen that is -Caroline Hirons, mentioned them once on her socials and included them in her kits - they became ever so popular and very hard to get hold of their products. Luckily, during their promotion with CH, I managed to bag a very good discount and purchased the liquid and oil. Today's post is all about the Gentle Resurfacing Liquid aka GRL.

What is Gentle Resurfacing Liquid? A liquid exfoliant/acid toner. What does it do exactly? Exfoliate the skin using AHAs, BHAs and PHAs. What on earth does that mean? It helps with teh reduction in blemishes and the appearance of pores, lines & wrinkles plus gives the skin a much smoother and more even complexion and skin tone.

Described as an exfoliating formula combining a unique cocktail of AHA’s (Mandelic, Lactic, Glycolic, Malic and Citric), BHA (Salicylic Acid) and PHA (Gluconolactone) to gently dissolve the bonds binding dull, dead cells to skin’s surface.

The ingredients are incredible and if you were to spend time researching each one, you would learn that they are all key to getting the best out of your skin. I've been using this about 3 times a week since the back end of October and my oily, spot prone skin bloody loves it.

Using acids in my skincare routine is a big step for me, just buying one this expensive (£35) made me die a little inside. However, to help with my scaring, uneven skin tone and texture I knew it was something I needed to start adding into my routine. What is so unique about the GRL is that the unique blend of the different ingredients makes it very mild for the skin. I use it 3 times a week (as suggested by the brand) and  think this is more than enough. Anymore than this for me, or anyone with normal skin would probably be too much and not give the result of that glowy, smooth skin. With consistent use of this, I've noticed a significant difference to my overall skin. Its looking a lot more even, smooth and most of all its helping with my stubborn scars. I can't fault it all. The tingle you get when applying at first, goes away and doesn't burn or irritate the skin. I haven't fallen out of love with it once and can't praise the product enough.

As a newbie to the world of AHA's, BHA's ect, this has been a great addition to my routine and I can't wait to see what the long term effects will be. Its actually encouraged me to use more acid based products like serums and cleansers (reviews coming soon) because I'm in awe at the difference it makes to my skin.

If you are interested in this or any of the other Deviant Skincare line, then please do check them out. As of this week, the GRL is still out of stock, but is due back this month as well as some other amazing products.

Dermalogica Sound Sleep Cocoon

Sleep. The one thing that we can never have too much of or too less of. Last week, I got the amazing chance to jump on a Zoom call with Dermalogica and a bunch of other bloggers to learn about sleep and their fabulous Sound Sleep Cocoon* cream. Did you know that as humans, we spend a 1/3 of our life sleeping? Crazy right!

I'm From Essences and Toner Review

Korean skincare is everywhere and I've always been a huge fan. A site that I always seen pop up on Instagram is Tonic15, everyone seems to be talking about them and I decided to order a couple of bits that people talk about to try. I went with buying three mini essences from the brand ''I'm From'', they come as a set of three, but you can buy each mini on its own and the larger sizes are available too. I love mini products as they give you a chance to try before you buy and see whether they work well or not.

I'm From Rice Toner /// Created with organic rice grown free from pesticides, this toner moisturizes and brightens skin. While gently getting rid of skin impurities and excess oils, this rice toner effectively rebalances and instantly rejuvenates dry, dull and irritated skin.

This is a toner and the other two are essences, but for a toner it has the same consistency and liquidity as the other two. Rice in skincare is definitely going to take off one day, it has amazing properties - such as, preventing wrinkles, keeping skin supple and its full of antioxidants. I've been using all three of these products in rotation, so I'm not sure which one has made the biggest difference ... but what I am sure of, is that all three are best friends with my skin. They've calmed redness, breakouts and improves the hydration. I personally, love using the rice toner in the morning. Its great at giving my skin that fresh, nourished and clean feeling before applying makeup on top. It definitely has helped with the texture as makeup looks smooth.

Fig Boosting Essence /// When skin seems a little lacklustre or looks and feels congested, turn to the I’m From Fig Boosting Essence. Formulated with 62.7% Fig Extract, its lightweight texture is quickly absorbed to effectively hydrated skin. Using the power of BHAs, it gently exfoliates and smooths skin, while also prepping it for the subsequent steps of your skincare regime. With added anti-ageing and antioxidant effects from Polyphenols it helps to unveil a rested, more youthful appearance.

If you follow anyone on instagram and loves their skincare, I am sure at some point they've posted about this essence or the cleansing balm that is part of the same range. I want the balm next and is on my payday wish list for next month. This essence in combination with the one I'll come to has helped my skin in so many ways! Its hydrated it, firmed it up, helped with breakouts and calmed the skin but most of all the exfoilating properties has given my skin this subtle yet gorgeous glow and I  love the way my skin looks after using.

Mugwort Essence // Formulated with 100% mugwort extract harvest from Ganghwa County in Korea this Mugwort Essence harnesses Mugwort’s natural detoxifying properties, in Korea it is used in a similar way to Tea Tree Oil. It treats skin problems and creates a clear and glowing complexion in just five minutes.

I have to say, Mugwort is not an ingredient I had ever heard over - it just sounds so odd. In combination with the fig boosting essence and the rice toner, they have just changed and I mean changed my skin. So much smoother, less texture around my chin and cheek area, it looks healthy and feels incredible. I go to sleep feeling so happy with the way my skin is looking and wake up the next day with it looking even better. I went through a spell the other week where my skin was horrific. So many hormonal spots, it was angry and horrible. These essences helped a ton, this Mugwort one in particular really calmed it down and has helped with the mess that is left over ... I'm a picker... I know I shouldn't but I can't help it. This is perfect for post picking!

Overall, I am very very impressed with these and will definitely be buying the full size versions of them all as soon as I get through the mini's. You do only need a tiny amount of product though...so I may just repurchase this little set again! Have you tried any of these? Or anything else from I'm From...

Antipodes Honey Range + Discount Code

Antipodes are one of the many brands that I have discovered through blogging. A brand that I have always loved and never been disappointed with. I have pretty much reviewed their whole range of products, which you can read about and dive into ... but today, we are focused on their famous and clean 'honey' range. I have been using the day cream, eye cream and mask for some time now and all three are incredible!

Dermalogica Clear Start FlashFoliant Review

The Dermalogica Clear Start range is specifically targeted towards those with breakout prone skin - meeee! A range that I can use and doesn't irritate my skin in the slightest. I've tried most of the range, the moisturiser is my favourite product in the line and with the addition of their new FlashFoliant, I couldn't wait to hear about it and learn more. I was super lucky to attend a Zoom press event, where we not only did some artwork but also learnt about the product and exactly how to use.

Summer Essentials with Nivea

We might be half way through August (crazy right!) but that does mean its the end of the summer yet. I've seen quite a few people online saying they can't wait till the Autumn. I love the autumnal seasons but why wish the summer way - we hardly get a hot one in the UK and I think we've been really lucky this year!
Whether you're planning an abroad trip or having a stay-cation this year, I have some essential summer products and tips to keep you glowing and fresh all summer!

Beauty Pie Favourites

I don't think I have ever disclosed my love for Beauty Pie on the blog, its a brand that I absolutely adore. I've tried more skincare from them than makeup but its definetely an avenue that I would like to go down. If you're wondering how BP works, check out this post by Rachel aka Beauty Queen UK. She explains it perfectly.

Products I Reach For When My Skin Is Freaking Out

I have a few days around when my time of the month where my skin is just horrible, its dry, sensitive and has the odd breakout around the jaw. Its on these days that my body also wants to drink gallons of coke and all the food it can see. When this time of the month does happen, these are the products that I instantly reach for because I just know they will do their job and help me out in someway. PSA: breakouts are normal, they're human, don't worry about them or be afraid of showing them.
hormonal skin products

> Mask

Whenever my skin starts to freak out, I slather on the NO DRAMA mask from Funderm*, its a red clay mask that helps to treat breakouts, balance out my skin and add hydrate it all at the same time. Unlike other clay masks, this doesn't dry the skin out. I love using this a few times a week as it really helps with pesky breakouts and skin texture.

>Spot Treatment

Over the years, I have tried out numerous spot treatments. Before, they used to be something I used all over my face. Now, I use WAS BAD from Funderm* only when I get those under the skin, painful bumps. They never come to the surface but haunt me forever! The main ingredient in this is salicylic acid along with other pre and probiotics that just work wonders for painful things on the face.

> Retinol

Pixi do ranges really well, they give you the choice of a range of products with one hero ingredient. Their newest range is perfect for breakout prone skin - I need to get my hands on it. In the meantime, their retinol overnight oil* works wonders for the skin. I use this when my skin is really really bad, red and sore. This oil soothes, calms and controls all the craziness that is going on. I do find its very heavily scented though which is a shame :(

> Hydration

Its taken me yonks to realise that my skin is not oily but super dehydrated. I tend to use these last two products all the time, not just during the time of the month. The Rose Ceramides cream* hydrates the skin to the max! I don't what magic in is in this but it gives my skin such elasticity and suppleness. This Monday Child's Oil is something I bought after seeing it on the gram, its still pretty new to me but when I have used it, I've loved the results. It smells incredible and is filled with a variety of oils that gives the skin a glow and boost in hydration. I've loved wearing this under makeup and mixing the tiniest bit with EL Double Wear to make me all dewy yet matte - such a beautiful finish!

I hate the hormonal skin freaks out and all I want to eat is pure sugar stage but these products do really help keep my skin in check. What are your go to products when your skin freaks out?
