All Kinds of Pink.

All Kinds of Pink.
This post is all because of Anna from ViviannaDoesMakeup, and her post all about the 'Pink Spread'. Whenever it gets to this time of year I always seem to get really attracted to the colour pink, no matter what shade, tone, colour whatever it is I love it! Now a lot of you may be thinking that the colour pink is a difficult colour but think again my friends. Majority of you must be thinking of that Barbie coloured pink and the colour of tutus but rethink that! The colour that dominated your bedroom in the past can now be a staple in your makeup bag it can come in the form of eye shadows, blushes, lipsticks, and nail polish. You can either apply it subtly in places or go strong and play up one feature.
ON YOUR CHEEKS
Blush pinks  look the best on darker skin or pale skin with a rosy undertone. Livelier pinks flatter most skin tones. Just don’t get scared off by the colour, try it out one day and see how to feels and looks: It often goes on sheer and diffused. A cream formula allows you to build that colour up to something more and lasts all day too! Peachy pink blushes are ideal for olive skin.
ON YOUR LIPS
If you want to stick with subtle, there’s a loads of sheer shades and glosses that add just a little bit of colour, for example Revlon lip butters are amazing, they are so sheer and the colour can be built up easy!
Those with fair skin can ease into bolder pinks with a peony-coloured lipstick or just go for it with fuchsia which also looks great with darker skin.
ON YOUR NAILS
Just like your favorite black dress, certain shades of pink will never fail to look good on you―like a petal pink polish for darker skin or a paler version for lighter skin. These are classic colours that look amazing on any skint tone, pinks are also amazing on your toes with whatever you are wearing.

Hope you found this useful a little bit, as pink is a gorgeous colour to wear in the summer.

Collection 2000 Smokey Eyes Review ♥

The other day I received a lovely package from Collection! I won a competition where I won a signed FanFair smokey eyes kit! I had actually had my eyes on this palette for a while, as I was wanting to try out some smokey eyes for events happening later on in the year. So here are swatches of the colours...

The palette is such a pretty, cute palette! It is great for travelling as it so small and easy to carry round - even handbag size so I can take it everywhere. The back of the palette does actually tell you how to apply the shadows but mine has signatures over it - oops. The swatches from the palette below are taken in columns the medium, dark and then light with the cream.

First of all, the medium shades are all very pigmented and have a nice shimmery base to them. The first is a silver shimmer shadow which looks amazing on the eye as a base on its own; the second is a  gold shimmer shadow which is also great as a base for the eye as well as the third which is more of a whiter colour.

The second column of shadows are much darker, the first is the darkest of them all as it is a jet black colour that gets applied in the corners and the edges. The second a brown matte colour which I LOVE on it's own all over the lid and on the outer corner. Finally the final one is a golder brown compared to the one above which is really pigmented.

These three final, lighter shades are the nicest they are creamier and great for highlighting. The first one is a white shadow that is my favourite to highlight the upper part of your brow bone! And finally the cream shade, which is specifically designed to highlight the inner corner of your eye to give your smokey eye a nice finish!

I recommend buying this palette if you are wanting to do a smokey eye look on a budget, it definitely delivers amazing result for the price you pay. I am going to be having so much fun with this palette in the future and can't wait to try it out!! p.s it so cheap!!
