Dermalogica Sound Sleep Cocoon
Wednesday, October 21
Sleep. The one thing that we can never have too much of or too less of. Last week, I got the amazing chance to jump on a Zoom call with Dermalogica and a bunch of other bloggers to learn about sleep and their fabulous Sound Sleep Cocoon* cream. Did you know that as humans, we spend a 1/3 of our life sleeping? Crazy right!

Dermalogica Clear Start FlashFoliant Review
Wednesday, September 9
The Dermalogica Clear Start range is specifically targeted towards those with breakout prone skin - meeee! A range that I can use and doesn't irritate my skin in the slightest. I've tried most of the range, the moisturiser is my favourite product in the line and with the addition of their new FlashFoliant, I couldn't wait to hear about it and learn more. I was super lucky to attend a Zoom press event, where we not only did some artwork but also learnt about the product and exactly how to use.

Beauty Pie Favourites
Wednesday, August 12
I don't think I have ever disclosed my love for Beauty Pie on the blog, its a brand that I absolutely adore. I've tried more skincare from them than makeup but its definetely an avenue that I would like to go down. If you're wondering how BP works, check out this post by Rachel aka Beauty Queen UK. She explains it perfectly.

Products I Reach For When My Skin Is Freaking Out
Wednesday, July 22
I have a few days around when my time of the month where my skin is just horrible, its dry, sensitive and has the odd breakout around the jaw. Its on these days that my body also wants to drink gallons of coke and all the food it can see. When this time of the month does happen, these are the products that I instantly reach for because I just know they will do their job and help me out in someway. PSA: breakouts are normal, they're human, don't worry about them or be afraid of showing them.
> Mask
Whenever my skin starts to freak out, I slather on the NO DRAMA mask from Funderm*, its a red clay mask that helps to treat breakouts, balance out my skin and add hydrate it all at the same time. Unlike other clay masks, this doesn't dry the skin out. I love using this a few times a week as it really helps with pesky breakouts and skin texture.
>Spot Treatment
Over the years, I have tried out numerous spot treatments. Before, they used to be something I used all over my face. Now, I use WAS BAD from Funderm* only when I get those under the skin, painful bumps. They never come to the surface but haunt me forever! The main ingredient in this is salicylic acid along with other pre and probiotics that just work wonders for painful things on the face.
> Retinol
Pixi do ranges really well, they give you the choice of a range of products with one hero ingredient. Their newest range is perfect for breakout prone skin - I need to get my hands on it. In the meantime, their retinol overnight oil* works wonders for the skin. I use this when my skin is really really bad, red and sore. This oil soothes, calms and controls all the craziness that is going on. I do find its very heavily scented though which is a shame :(
> Hydration
Its taken me yonks to realise that my skin is not oily but super dehydrated. I tend to use these last two products all the time, not just during the time of the month. The Rose Ceramides cream* hydrates the skin to the max! I don't what magic in is in this but it gives my skin such elasticity and suppleness. This Monday Child's Oil is something I bought after seeing it on the gram, its still pretty new to me but when I have used it, I've loved the results. It smells incredible and is filled with a variety of oils that gives the skin a glow and boost in hydration. I've loved wearing this under makeup and mixing the tiniest bit with EL Double Wear to make me all dewy yet matte - such a beautiful finish!
I hate the hormonal skin freaks out and all I want to eat is pure sugar stage but these products do really help keep my skin in check. What are your go to products when your skin freaks out?

Bedtime Rituals
Tuesday, November 6
A few weeks ago, the most random parcel arrived at my doorstep. It was from REN Skincare in the US. I was so confused, as I haven't given them my address. Then I got a sense of excitement because REN are one brand, I have always wanted to try. Soon after, I got confused again. As you can tell, I am still a bit all over the place - but I wanted to say thank you - if you're reading this and sent me this parcel because my sleeping pattern and bedtime routine has never been better. Since, going back after half term my body has managed to get itself into a routine and doing little things before going to bed has made the biggest difference to my quality of sleep.

Klairs Midnight Blue Claming Cream Review
Tuesday, February 27
2018 for me, seems to be the year of skincare. I finally know what works for my skin and what doesn't. Instead of using things all over, I focus things on one area to see how my skin reacts and then proceed to the full face. Korean skincare has been my obsession as of lately, I have tried a few products and they have all worked wonders. This incredible looking cream from Klairs is just one of them.

If your a regular here on C&G (i love you) then you will know all about my resolutions that I keep banging on about. I am determined to keep on top of them and stick to what I have said. The number one goal on that list was skin. Improve and get into a real skincare routine. For a whole month now I've actually been doing it and now its time to share! Also, my skincare routine is only in the night. I only moisturise in the morning.

Blogmas Day 2 || Night Time Skincare ♥
Monday, December 2
To be fairly honest, only recently have I started sticking
and following through with a strict night time skincare routine. Without fail
every night I used to just use make up wipes, then I converted and started doing
the full works so that I knew that my skin was getting a through clean.
I start off first with these ‘Tea Tree Facial Cleansing
Wipes’ which removes all the makeup from my face with one wipe and assures me
that even sleeping like this is still okay. If I am wearing any eye make up
then these smaller compact makeup remover pads come out of the draw as they are
amazing! One wipe thoroughly takes off all my primer, shadow and even
waterproof mascara – great!
After wiping everything off I then use a facial wash from
simple, this brand for me is the best when it comes to washes because they are
made for sensitive skin and doesn’t react with me. After washing and patting
dry, I follow up with a moisturiser that I am running out of. This clean and
clear one is very old packaging but does the job perfectly...it targets break
outs and helps to reduce the redness overnight – genius.
My skin in winter gets really dry and after using endless
moisturisers I have finally found something that works like a charm. This ESPA
serum that I blogged about a few weeks ago is just the bomb, I use it every
night on my cheeks and nose to help with the dry, flaky skin. Not lying that
this thing is amazing, I have seen such a difference in not only the dryness of
my skin but also the brightness of it!
As for ‘treatments’ I always go towards this eye roll on
from Q10 for under the eyes, the cool metal roller ball helps to target the
puffiness and the liquid that come out of it really helps with my dark circles
as they get pretty bad when I don’t get enough sleep. Finally, if I have any
upcoming spots or really ugly ones then I use this tea tree post stick that
comes with a doffer application and apply it all over the place. When I wake up
I can see such an improvement.
