New from Maybelline

maybelline uk haul

How do I even justify this? I went into Superdrug to purely buy a concealer, I promise. Then, I came across the Maybelline stand and wowza, there was a whole range of new things. I got a little carried away but am super happy I manged to pick everything up before they sell out.

Maybelline Push Up Drama Mascara Review

Mascara is the one product that has to suit indivudal needs. It doesn't matter about the colour or brand, it needs to do what you want it to do and has to be a formula/brush that you like. My two mascara loves are the Seventeen Falsifeye HD & Benefit Roller Lash, Both are flawless and do the job perfectly for me. The Maybelline Push Up seemed like another one to add to the holy grail list but things didn't turn out that way.

Maybelline Midnight Red

Maybelline Midnight Red

Back in September I wrote a post all about  my favourite Autumn nail colours, since then I may or may not have encountered a few shopping trips and bought some more nail colours. One of which is this stunning one from Maybelline in'Midnight Red'. I have reapplied this colour ever single time I have gone to paint my nails and I can't stop staring at it. It is best described as a deep burgundy red that is perfect for this time of the year. I also love the formula of these nail polishes if you didn't already know because they apply beautifully, look stunning for a long time and never seem to chip even after the 7 day promise!

If you can get your hands on this gorgeous colour then go and get it because it is perfect for A/W!

Maybelline Creamy Mattes Review & Swatches

More lipsticks I hear you say? Yes more lipsticks! I have been eyeing up the (not so new) Maybelline Creamy Mattes for a while now and I needed something to really push me to get them and two things finally did. First was Khila's review of the lipsticks and second was the love that Kaushal has for them and in this picture one of the colours looks amazing. Here in the UK there is currently 6 shades available compared to the US who have over 2 shades to choose from, one of which is 'All Fired Up' which I love the look of.
What Maybelline SaysNow, lips slip into our creamiest matte. Sensuous matte cream formula meets bold pigment colour for our smoothest, most seductive mattes. In 6 make-a-statement shades.
Worried that matte lipstick with make your lips look and feel dry? New Color Sensational Creamy Mattes give you matte lips that look smooth, moisturised and more plump, and feel comfortable all day.

What Parie Says:  Matte lipsticks that are true matte, highly pigmented and long lasting are very hard to find but Maybelline seems to have out done themselves with these. They are so sift and creamy that when you apply them you can be as quick as you want without it getting everywhere because it doesn't drag. At first you can feel them but then they set and look matte. The creaminess of the lipsticks is amazing when applying them but it does also mean that bleeding will occur, for the Nude shade I used a lip-liner and saw a huge difference but I don't own a berry liner, but presume it would be the same. I only own two shades but can't pick between them both as they are truly stunning. the nude is great for the day and then at night you can vamp it up with Divine Wine and look glamorous pairing it with a smoky eye.

Final Verdict - AMAZING. After wearing them everyday I have completely fallen in love and will be going out to buy the other shades.

Maybelline Master Sculpt Review

Maybelline Master Sculpt Review

Contouring has blown up recently, from the likes of Kim K to Maybelline's newest face Mollie King. I tend to step away from contouring, due to being scared of it looking like I've applied mud to my face and instead of carving out my cheekbones I have made them look worse. The W7 Kit I talked about a while ago is amazing for a subtle look, but sometime I need a little more. Now it seems all the high street brands are bringing out kits, and the Master Sculpt from Maybelline is the one I am trying out today.

Packaging

The bronzer and highlighter duo comes packed in a square compact, 2/3 of it the contour shade and the other 1/3 is a highlighter. You then flip that up and beneath it is a mirror and a handy little brush. The mirror is great to for when you pack it in your bag and need to touch up, and the brush isn't that bad at all, great for the highlighter compared to the contour.

Colour

I went for the darkest of the two shades 'Medium/Dark' but there is also 'Light/Medium' available, the dark one is perfect for me. It doesn't show up with one sweep, but once built up it looks very natural, yet effective. The contour colour is a cool toned brown, that makes it suitable for a lot of skin tones. The grey undertones in the contour shade makes it perfect to create a shadow line under your cheekbones rather than a glow like bronzer does.

Texture

Both of the products in this compact are very pigmented, not too much to look heavy, it is just right. They are also really soft and silky, you need a quick swipe of the contour and you are good to go, although the colour is build able if you want to have more of an impact. The highlighter is subtle, powdery with a hint of shimmer, doesn't show when you swatch it but does on the skin in the light.

I adore both of these products in this little magical box, they are great for everyday use as well as using it at night. I don't think it is necessary to spend lots of £££ on a contour kit when brands like Maybelline are retailing them for £6.99 and do the job well.

Budget Buys|Maybelline Cololor Drama Lipstick

Maybelline Cololor Drama Lipstick

I think it's pretty clear that I love buying lip products of any sort, whether it be lipsticks, glosses, balms and now pencils! For a few weeks I have been debating over buying these Maybelline Color Drama Lipsticks because they are meant to be 'long lasting, beautiful formula and already amazing'. Of course I fell in for the hype and now a month or so later I am telling you THAT YOU NEED THEM IN YOU'RE LIFE.

Maybelline Better Skin Foundation||Review+Swatches

Maybelline Better Skin Foundation
Lately I have been a sucker for new releases. One of those being the newly released Maybelline Better Skin Foundation, it caught my eye as it claims to do the following things;
 - Our foundation improves the look of your skin every time you wear it. Skin looks better today, tomorrow and beyond.
 - Better Skin reduces the appearance of dull, blotchy and uneven skin, leaving you with flawless, hydrated, even and glowing skin.
- It evens out discoloration and brightens dull areas, providing a healthy looking glow from day to night.
- The formula is suitable for sensitive skin, contains no perfume, and is non-comedogenic. It is tested under dermatological control.
Of course, if something is claiming to give me amazing looking skin then I will jump to the chance straight away of trying it out.
Maybelline Better Skin Foundation
One of the things that bugs me about Maybelline is there colour range for all there face products. I picked up the shade '020/04Cameo' which does look really light but if you happen to see the spectrum of shades over on the maybelline website (here) you will see that it is one of the middle shades. I found that any shades darker than this one was far too dark for my skin and the ones before it are really light. Hence, this one being the best one to go with! Once blended it well however, it does look okay and then as you add concealer and so forth it looks fine.
+ I will admit that my skin does look a lot better when wearing this foundation, I applied 2 think layers as one wasn't doing anything for me.
+ I used the foundation without any primer underneath to see how it worked, even though it applied to my face easy and blended well - i think that I may need to use a different primer with it and not my Nivea one to see how it compares.
+ I LOVE IT because of the finish, it is very natural looking and mattifying. It is also very hydrating
-  But it snugs at my dry skin around the nose and forehead.
+ Having SPF is always a benefit.
- Even though it claims to help with sensitive skin, I don't think my skin likes it! I seem to have broken out recently and whether it is down to this foundation I have no idea, but I think I may need to use it once more when my skin is getting better and then I can really see!

Having never tried a liquid foundation from Maybelline I am very impressed! If you want something quick and easier for everyday then at £8.99 you can't go wrong. However, if you have dry skin like me then I wouldn't recommend it! I have a feeling that it would be great to use in the summer time!

Maybelline Baby Lips | Review ♥

Maybelline Baby Lips | Review

These lip balms must be the most anticipated UK release in the beauty world this year, if you've not heard of the Maybelline Baby Lips then I do not know where you have been hiding, They were originally released in the states and have grown such a huge following that they have finally come across the pond into our local Boots and Superdrug stores! I couldn't wait to get my claws on these things and see if they live up to the hype and all the talk. I have 5/6 balms that are available and I really wanted them all for this review, however every where I have been have been sold out of pink punch - so expect that in a separate review!
Maybelline Baby Lips | Review
In total there are six, I have only five (L-R) Cherry Kiss, Intense Care, Peach Kiss, Hydrate and Minty Fresh. As far as packaging goes I think they are very cute, they are the ideal size for you to be able to carry around and fit into the smallest of bags and they are all different coloured which makes them stand out and for me cries for me to use them as they are brightly coloured. The blue, yellow and green bottle are all clear lip balms they apply and look clear on your lips - these for me are the best if you have dry, cracked and chapped lips because there aim is to nourish them.
The orange and purple are both tinted lip balms, which means that you have a slight hint of colour on your lips when you apply them. I can't seem to get a colour out of them when they are on my lips which is a shame as I love some tinted lip balm, if I apply coats then the colour starts to slowly build up.
Maybelline Baby Lips | Review

Overall, I am deeply in love with them. I think that they are great moisturising lip balms because they contain petroleum jelly. And after using them for a good two weeks, my lips feel and look amazing which I think is a bonus. I know that there are better and different lip balms available, but for the price you are paying these are amazing. They are my lifesavers at school as I can just get them out of my bag and quickly apply them.
