The AM | PM Routine Tag
Saturday, May 14
The lovely Mollie from ModernMollie tagged me to do the AM| PM routine tag, I haven't taken part in a tag blog post in such a long time, this was the perfect time! So, thank you Mollie for tagging me, she's the cutest person - so check her out!
I am more of a morning person and always have been, up early in the morning ready and showered everyday before everyone else. When it comes to the night time, my head will hit the pillow and I am out. If you like the idea of this tag, please take part and then let me know!

London
Saturday, April 23
In Easter myself and my brother headed down to London for a few days. On one of the days when the sun was shining bright we headed into the city to go up The Shard. It was one of those experiences that I will never forget. Seeing London from a height like that was unbelievable, I highly recommend it to you all to go, there are also restaurants in their which I want to experience next time! In this post I am sharing with you some pictures from the top and also my outfit,
Next Chapter in My Life:University!
Friday, August 14
If you didn't already know then yesterday was A-Level Results Day, a very daunting time for teenagers across the country and next week for GCSE students. I share majority of my life on this blog so it was only fair that I told you all THAT I'M GOING TO UNIVERSITY!
I officially start at the end of September and couldn't be more pleased, it is still a shock to the system and my mind can't quite believe it but its happening! Now I have to do a lot of shopping, reading beforehand and get myself ready for the next chapter in my life.
In the next few weeks/months a lot of posts will be Uni related and then posts might slow down a little bit whilst I find my feet in a scary new place, but not to worry I will still be here! Any tips/ticks about Uni Life in general or anything at all is much appreciated! Here's to the next 3 years of my life, my blog and my career!
Talking of University I recently did a guest post for the StudentMoneySaver blog all about a guide to what to wear for Freshers! If you fancy reading it then you can find it here..
5 Things: Revision Tips
Thursday, May 21
Here are 5 EASY AND SIMPLE Revision Tips to Help you during this busy exam season!
1. Try not to revise for hours on hours, do it in short spurts of revision which are around 30 minutes or so as these are going to be the most effective. Your concentration goes after about an hour and you will be spending the next hour creeping on Instagram so take a short break that is timed around 5-10 minutes.
2. Study in a comfortable place, whether this be your bedroom or even your dining room whatever suits you. Stay in a place that has no distractions or keep them away eg you phone, maybe even turn the wifi off!
3. Use different techniques to make your notes, we all have our own way but sometimes it gets a little bit repetitive and your brain becomes used to it so switch it up use mind maps, notes or even flashcards and use fancy stationery too .
4. It is much easier said than done but please don't try to get yourself too stressed out, if you find something difficult or find something in your notes that you don't remember then ask someone, or even my new favourite go on to youtube and watch a video about how to solve a problem - it's like a virtual lesson!
5. Believe in YOU. Never say 'You Can't Do It' because trust me you can, all it takes is a little bit of self encouragement and power yourself through it.
Tips for Balancing School Life+Blogging!
Tuesday, May 13
You're currently reading this post as I sit one of my AS Level Exams! As a full time student that has gone through her GCSE's and now doing her A-Levels I can tell you that it is easy to manage your school/work life with your blogging life. It sounds hard and complicated but trust me, you can do it and here are a few of my tips and tricks.
ORGANISATION+PLANNING
It sounds so obvious, but yet so many people forget. You need to be on top of your game to manage a blog and your school work. Take time to think about blog posts that you want to make, I tend to get ideas in lessons and quickly write them down on my hand to go home and write down correctly - this way you won't get 'writers block'. If you know when things need to be handed in at school, make sure you get posts written before the deadline so that you can focus on the work at school rather than sit writing a blog post.
BULK PHOTOGRAPHING+WRITING
I tend to spend a Saturday at the end/start of the month taking lots of photos of products ect that I know I want to get up soon. I like to do this because my mind is a at rest. Save them in a folder on your computer so you know you have them. This means you have photo's ready to use when you decide to write a post, and you can still take photos whenever you want - its just easier to have some stored. Weekends are the best time to blog in my opinion, with homework that might need to be in the next day you find it difficult to write and study at the same time. Take a Saturday morning to spend a few hours writing up posts and scheduling them to upload whenever you want them to. Makes life easier, that's what I do - for example I am writing this post in April and you're seeing it in May!
DON'T FEEL PRESSURED
If you can't get a post up then don't worry, you aren't hurting anyone by not posting on a certain week or day. Take a break and post when you feel ready and take your time writing; the last thing you want is to be writing a post when you are super stressed or worried. It doesn't matter if your blog is as perfect as someone else's or you don't have a review about a product that another blog has, as long as you are enjoying blogging and doing what you're doing then leave it be. Your blog shines in its own way.
Only a few tips and tricks can help you a lot, and I still find it hard to manage both but find your own way. Let me know your ways!
Glitter Chat #1 ♥
Friday, September 13
I love love love blogging, but sometimes I just I don't want to post something that is beauty/fashion related and post about normal things - LIFE! It just gives me a chance to use this blog as diary, I have tried in the past to post things like this and then deleted the posts as I didn't like it! But I have now come to the conclusion that every so often I will just take a breather and write this like my journal. Not only does this give me and this blog something different; but you guys get to know me a little bit more.
This instalment on my blog will be called 'Glitter Chat' to coincide with the name of my blog and because I am chatting with you! It may be a regular thing, or just once in a while - nevertheless I hope you all enjoy and leave me some comments as I love talking to all of you sat reading this. I even created a little logo/picture to match the idea!
So, What's been going on in Parie's world then I hear you ask? Well, I have just started sixth form at a brand new school and I am really really enjoying it. The work load is totally different to what I am used to, but I guess I can manage as long as I keep my self organised and prepared all the time - that is the key. Apart from that; nothing really big and exciting has been happening!
Currently, I am reading and blogging (multi-tasking I know!) the new Company magazine with Lauren the current Britain and Ireland Next Top Model Winner. I am so glad she won, not only was the final a tough one but the top three were all amazing girls; they all deserve success in life and I hope to see them all in my magazines one day! I love Company in general however only usually buy it when there is someone I really want to read about featured in the magazine. There are some amazing pieces in this months issue, so if you want a good read I suggest buying! Also posted this on instagram which is something I will always love!
Also burning my recently purchased yankee candle tart in 'salted caramel' which just smells divine. I can't even describe to you just how perfect this smells, I start off with tarts then if I like the smell work my way up to a jar! It smells like sweet burnt sugar and salt mixed with caramel - I also smell a tiny bit of vanilla. The scent will linger too, you can smell it around the house!! After posting this, I will be painting my nails with that beautiful, bright pink colour; bright and beautiful!
A habit that has now become an addiction is Pinterest! The site is just so pretty, weird and wonderful, you can find out so many things on there and find inspiration for things that even our good friend GOOGLE can't tell us! I highly recommend signing up for an account, here is a warning you can and will get addicted and it will affect your wishlist in life. I have recently loved finding different motivational quotes on there; like this one down below that is the cutest thing ever! As girls we like to make first impressions, hence what this quote is about! Whoever you meet, wherever you go everyone will remember you for sure if you give them something to remember you buy - whether is be your personality, humour or even a skill. We all leave sparkle behind us like a trail of mystery I suppose! Be sure to follow me here, and leave me your links below!
