The Diwali Face

Today is Diwali! Happy Diwali to all those who celebrate, wishing you another year of happiness, success and all things bright! I love this time of year, not only is the food amazing and the clothes you get to wear so pretty but time spent with family is timeless. We're going to a Diwali party this weekend, I finally managed to find something to wear yesterday (talk about last minute!) and it's pink and pink, all sequins and some gorgeous rose gold jewelerry. So, I'm thinking for makeup to go with something glowy, glittery and very much me. This is a trial run that I had and I think it will all go to plan, using these products!

Makeup of the Moment #3

How proud are you all, that I have remembered to do this post for the third time running? If you are new (hello!) this is my makeup of the moment series where I talk about what has been going on my face for the last month of so. If you want to read the previous two, you can catch up here.
 Makeup of the Moment

Makeup of the Moment #1

Makeup of the Moment

One of my resolutions for this year is to use my makeup to the fullest, whatever the price tag. In a bid to remember to use it and keep track of the resolution, I've decided to do 'Makeup of the Moment' posts, hopefully it will showcase different products that I own and a different look (kind of).

Diwali or Festive Makeup

Happy Diwali to those who celebrate! Every time we get to this time of year I really start to think about how quickly time is going. This year I am spending Diwali (today 11th) with my flat mates going for a lovely meal and then with the family at the weekend. Very odd. I love showing what I did for my make-up and the aim was something pretty yet bright! I based everything around the dress which is the Dhalia dress, very pretty and summery but in the evening is going to look amazing. There are hints of pink and red coming from the flowers on the dress so i decided to keep that as the theme and went for that colour on my lips. The shade Date Night is from Seventeen* and is a lovely pinky colour but to amp it up I added the red from the All Out Lip Palette* which looked amazing! Because the lips and dress were so bright I went with a warm glow to the face, starting with my trustee L'Oreal Foundation, L.A Girls Concealer and Seventeen Contour Kit*. Summer might be over but I like my skin to have a bronze colour to it. I am also LOVING highllighting, why it has taken me so long to get on board I have no idea but it looks gorgeous on the skin and lasts all day, for this look I used the MAC Soft & Gentle.  Then we go onto the eyes for this I used the Seventeen Easy on the Eye Palette* which is full of smoky, dark colours. The palette also comes with a primer and cream shadows to help keep your eye make-up on all night long, I only touched the bottom row of colours. Followed by the smallest amount of Falsifeye Mascara*, I love this mascara to bits that I am now running low so saving it for special occasions.

And that is the whole look finished! I wanted something super simple, easy and yet striking. I love the purple on the eyes and the red lips it works really well with my dress.

Hope you enjoyed!

My Go To Autumnal Makeup Look

Autumnal Makeup Look

Autumnal Makeup Look

Autumnal Makeup Look

Autumnal Makeup Look

Autumnal Makeup Look

In my mind, autumn is well and truly here and the cold weather is making its presence. I thought i would just share my go to current makeup look and the products that I am loving. It all starts with the base for which I use The amazing L'Oreal True Match without any primer underneath (SHOCKER) but this is because the new formula allows me to use it with just moisturiser underneath. Then to hid those awful bag I have been loving the L.A Concealer it covers, lasts well and it incredibly cream then set with the Rimmel Stay Matte.  I skip blusher in the winter and go straight to a little bit of bronzer to give me some colour.

Then for the eyes I have been obsessed with the Little Mix Eyes Palette all the colours are so pigmented and the first three gold shades are perfect for the autumn. Underneath this as a base and a primer I used the Bourjois Colourband in Brun which is pretty much the same colour as my eyelids making it pointless but ah well. For mascara I am still in love with the Benefit Roller Lash it gives my lashes length and they look like spider legs. And on my lower lash line I am started to smudge some brown eyeliner like the MAC lady did a few weeks ago for me, I can't do it as great as her but I try.

Then for lips the main autumnal focus, for this I mix two different shades of berry/red one of them is the Wet n Wild Lipstick in Cinnamon (which is now available to buy on Amazon eep!) and the Bourjois Velvet Lipstick in Grand Cru together these are like superwoman on my lips.

I guess that gold eyes and berry lips are the standard autumn makeup look, but swapping red for nude is cool too!

What are your autumn must haves?

Welcoming Spring

Hello Spring 🌸 by far my favourite season after all the rest of course, I love the warm but not hot and sweaty weather, pretty pastels and rose gold everything because it shines in the sunlight. If the weather stays like this in the UK for a lot longer then everyone's happy mood will last longer. Today's face of the day/what's on my face (whatever you want to call it) is inspired by the lovely weather outside and my happier mood, it's not very bright more rose gold and pretty!

FACE

For the base for which I used the +L'Oréal Paris UK & Ireland Infallible Matte , don't let the matte put you off as it leaves a nice sheen on your face that lasts all day. Followed by the +Makeup Revolution Protection Palette which contains three concealers for covering everything.  The lightest is perfect for scarring, middle one for under the eyes and the dark one for spots. The texture of them is like jelly like but soft to blend in and the coverage is amazing, such a shame that you can't buy them on their own. Now that it is warmer I prefer having bronze skin. Not the best person to tell you how to contour or bronze the right way but if you are a beginner like me then try out the blush stick, easy. And the protection palette has a blush, bronzer, highlighter that are all amazing too. Finishing it all off with Rimmel +RimmelLondon Stay Matte Powder.

See my recent MR Haul (here)

For the eyes I kept it very simple but rose gold with the Pure Cult Palette I used the 1st, 3rd, and 4th shadow on the top row and then the third one on the bottom row to just darken it up a little bit. For the price this palette is truly amazing and the lousy brush isn't that bad either. Still madly in love with +Benefit Cosmetics UK & Ireland  Roller Lash because it just makes my eyes look wide awake and coat my lashes to make them longer.

This is my current go to and favourite nude lip combo, these three together are a perfect sandwich. First up one of two liners from Primark out of the both of them this nude one is by far the one I love using because it's my lip colour but better! The other one I got was the red one which isn't getting as much use yet as it should do (here). Followed up with Eva's Nude the best one for me from the range as it isn't too pink and has more cool tones it it and then finally finishing it off with +Tanya Burr Lipgloss in Chic that I only got recently because I love it when she wears it and now I love wearing it as well!

Woah that was a long post, I hope you enjoyed this spring inspired makeup look! I would love to know what products you are loving at the moment and also any brighter lip options...

FOTD| Indian Wedding Guest #2

Indian Wedding Guest

Hello hello, this year I have a few weddings to attend in the family, and I thought of sharing as many Makeup Looks from the events as there are several within one persons wedding. Each look I do does vary, depending on what I wear/colour scheme - for a more neutral look check out this post here but this one is a lot more subtle with a bright lip!

FOTD| Boots Haul/First Impressions

Boots Haul/First Impressions
I have been buying quite a bit of makeup over the month of December and November but have had no time to even try it! So, I thought I would do a face of the day/haul/first impression to see if I like it or not! I am talking about the products in a very random order i do apologise!

FOTD; Diwali Celebrations

Diwali Celebrations

Another 'What's on my Face' post today, and today is the weekend of Diwali! And I thought I would share with you the look I decided to go with, Diwali was actually on Thursday but the celebrations in my household carry on for the whole weekend! Happy Diwali to anyone who also celebrates!

Face

L'Oréal True Match Foundation// I have only had this since September and even though that isn't a very long time I have fallen in love with. The formula, texture, coverage and lasting of it is genius and the bonus is that I don't even have to use a primer because my skin prefers it without!

Maybelline Eraser Eye Concealer// My skin looks a little more flawless with this foundation so I don't the need for a lot of face concealer, but my under eye circles need a lot of covering up and this does the trick perfectly.

Rimmel Matte Powder// Not too much on this powder apart from the fact that it sets everything in place and doesn't make my face go all shiny and weird.

MAC Bronzer// A lovely natural glow in the night and in the middle of October is ok right? I love how this shade looks on my skin and gives me this lovely bronze look even though my skin is pretty dark in the winter.

Natural Collection Blush in Rosey Glow// This is a very new addition to my makeup routine, I found this gem when I was tidying up a while back now and every since have not stopped using it! I love how natural it looks and doesn't make me look overly flushed.

MUA Highlighter// This is the prettiest thing I have ever seen! I use this on my cheeks and my eyes as a highlighter because its just so pretty and beautiful.

Eyes

Diwali Celebrations

Sleek Oh So Special// I really neglect my Sleek palettes and always stick to the UD ones, but in fact the Sleek ones are amazing too and super pigmented! the picture above shows the colours that I used and I believe they are called 'Organza (the second on the top row) and Ribbon (the one next to it)' I mixed them together on my lid to create the colour of my base and then in the crease I used a little bit of 'Celebrate(last one on the top row)' these names are also related to the occasion so I thought that is perfect!

Maybelline Rocket Volume Mascara//  An oldie but a goodie, this mascara made life simple for me because it came off at night which is by bug bear when mascara clings on to your eyelashes. Love the natural look this gives my eyes and its been collecting dust for a long time now, so it was about time I used it again!

Lips

Now I really struggled with the colour of my lips for this look, at first I put Tanya Burr's 'Picnic in the Park' but in the end I went with a red because why not?

Bourjois Rouge Edition in Hot Pepper// This colour looks so pretty at night and this is the only one from the four I have that I haven't yet used so this was a first time...and I loved the result.

I loved the way my makeup turned out and didn't expect the Sleek palette to be this good and the lips work great with the eyes too! Got another part tonight and very much looking forward to it, Happy Diwali!

Fashion Fair Gold| Review

Fashion Fair Gold

Today, I am reviewing some exciting things from Fashion Fair, they contacted me recently asking if I would like to work with them and of course I said! So, today I will talk to you about some of their products and you will also be seeing some more posts in collab with them very soon so do keep your eye out!
Fashion Fair Gold

Fashion Fair Gold|

Golden Chestnut Eye shadow - This is an oil free shadow, so for those of you like me who use primers forget them because you don't need one! I didn't use one in this picture above and it lasted all day on my face and I had two events on the same day, the formula of these are super creamy and very easy to apply and blend out. I used the gold colour as my main eyelid colour as well as putting some in the crease and it looked amazing!

Sam Fine Supreme Lip Gloss- Canary Diamond - This lip gloss is a beaut and if you love wearing gloss then this is one for your collection! This very transparent gold colour looks great on its own and on the top of other colours such as red and you will be really sparkly! This lip gloss is also not very sticky and doesn't create that glue like feeling that many glosses do.

Have you tried anything from FashionFair?

Summer is the time for weddings and so many people have them its crazy! No doubt I got to one every year and even though I love them they can go on for hours and my makeup and nails are the most important things to me. I thought I would share with you what is going to be on my face, its very neutral and very me because that is what I like a prefer!
Neutral Indian Wedding Guest
TBS Tea Tree Primer// I have really been loving this primer recently and find that my skin really likes it *touch wood* It feels all tingly on my skin which lets me know that it is working and doing its best. It is very silicone like but I don't mind that!
Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation// I promise, this is the last time I mention this foundation. I love this so much and even though it might seem to light for a wedding when you build it up it gives you a beautiful face of coverage. I mix two shades to get my perfect match and it works treat.
Maybelline Erase Eye// I need something to cover those bad boys under my eyes and this is the best thing that works on my eyes, it really covers it all up.
Collection Concealer// Again, I will stop taking about it. But this covers up every little thing you need to cover on your face.
Neutral Indian Wedding Guest
Rimmel Stay Matte Powder// Then I set everything with my Rimmel powder and it keeps for a few hours and then I re top it up later.
Sexy Pulp Ultra-Volume Mascara - This mascara gives me killer looking lashes that still look natural in the day and then pow wow in th night. A few coats of this is amazing on the eyes to really bring them out.
Neutral Indian Wedding Guest
Naked 3// I mix up lots of different colours for my eyes and can't remember which colours I used specifically but the beauty of this palette is you can literally throw any colours together and it looks perfect!
Neutral Indian Wedding Guest
TBS Blush in Flushed//  I have also been loving this blush as its very natural on my cheeks and I love using it with a small blush. I paid £8 for such a little pot but every pound was worth it.
MAC Bronzer// Oh holy moly, every time I use this I squeal with excitement. This is the perfect bronzer for me and love it for special occasions.
Neutral Indian Wedding Guest
I have several lip options, all nude of course but just because I like a variety. I went with the MAC in Hue because it worked well with the whole look.
Clinque Chubby Stick(Glamour Mag Freebie)// This is so sheer and you can't really build up a colour but great again for top up!
Rimmel in Celestial// Perfect top up colour but needs a mirror.
MAC in Hue// My nude lover. Love this sooo much and the formula of this is amazing.

FOTD || Rose Gold Overload

Hello everyone, today I have a face of the day post for you and so rightly named 'Rose Gold Overload' because I am loving anything rose gold at the moment and that obsession is taking over my life! I love how the colours look on my skin and work well together for the day and the night. This look is something that I have been going for constantly as it is just so easy to do and looks amazing!
As you can see I don't use a lot of products and that's what makes me love it even more! Lets start off with the face...
No7 Airbrush Away Primer - In my bid to finish up any samples that I own, I have started to use this primer to use it up. Not the biggest fan of it as it doesn't help with dry skin, however with this foundation and helping with diminishing pores it does really well.

NYC Skin Match Luminizer Foundation - Oh lord, this foundation is amazing! I have been using this everyday for the last 2 weeks because I love everything about it. It gives me coverage, makes my skin look flawless and glowing, it does take two layers and you can build it up even more as on first application it is very light coverage. I think this will be great for the summer time as it really sits well on my skin with the primer, and for a very little price you are getting lots of product. There are 5 shades available and you will find one to match you I promise as I did! And it has a pump which makes application so much easier.

Collection Concealer - Well, there really isn't much to say about this concealer is there! I talk about it all the time and therefore won't go on and on about it. But let me tell you that using this foundation and then this concealer gives my skin a flawless finish that I am so proud of!

The Body Shop Powder - I like to set everything with a powder, and this one from the body shop also gives me a little bit of coverage along with helping to control the oil on my forehead. Body Shop have blown me away with this product and I want to get my hands on some other things from their line.

Sleek Rose Gold Blush - I just knew that, the moment that I first laid my eyes on this blush and swatched it - I would fall in love. I am not usually a fan of blush on my skin as I have never found one that doesn't over do it. But this one from Sleek is perfect; it doesn't make me look like I have lots of makeup on my face and gives me this lovely glow on top of everything else a fresh glow of colour.

Then on to the eyes and only two products this time, but both are my current favourites! And what started this whole look off...

Naked 3 Palette - If you haven't tried, bought or even looked at this palette yet then you need to because I promise you this will win you over. I love all the shades in this palette but there are a few colours that catch my eye every time I go to use it. I like to apply Nooner all over the lid as this matte shade is perfect to use as a base, then on my lid to build up the colour I use Liar and then in the outer corner and crease I take a mix of Burnout and Dust which just work well together. Using Strange in the in the inner corner and brow bone pulls everything together.

Soap&Glory Thick and Fast - This mascara just does it for me. I am not one to try out a lot mascaras because I don't always wear them and love my great lash one from Maybelline but this one is just mighty fine! I love how much volume it gives to my lashes and they just grow in size and thickness because of the formula of the mascara. I can't use this on my bottom lashes though as the brush is too big for my small eyes!

FOTD - Bronze Sorbet ♥

 Bronze Sorbet

I love doing make up, the way you can put random things on your face to make you look pretty and for you to look different just amazes me. This post is I guess a 'Face of the Day/Night' where I am going to show you what make up I am wearing that day. And this is my go to evening look - because it is so simple, glam and has that pop of pink lip colour to brighten up the evening.

Nivea Express Hydration Primer - This very light, soft feeling primer has so far made me fall in love with it. The pink lid that you can see is the little pot of primer from Nivea, and this one is designed for sensitive and dry skin and also doubles up as a moisturiser. I was never much of a primer person, but this is perfect for the night time.

The Body Shop Oil Free Balancing Foundation - This for me this the perfect full coverage foundation for the night time, it isn't too heavy on the face and gives me that coverage I need at night without looking over the top and plastered in make up. This is also great for those who like me may have sensitive, dry and oily skin.

Collection Long Lasting Perfection Concealer - You have no doubt, heard about this concealer before! So many bloggers and youtubers rave about that I just had to see what all the hype was about. Even though the foundation is full coverage, I still like to just conceal some stubborn blemishes and those under eye circles so that they are hidden.

Natural Collection Pressed Powder - I think I talk about this powder way too much! For me this is the most affordable and medium coverage powder I have ever owned. It doesn't make you look like you've over done the make up and sets your foundation and concealer into place so it lasts for a lot longer on your skin.

Natural Collection Bronzer - This is also a fairly new purchase and I am still not sure whether I love or hate it. I prefer matte bronzers and this has a very subtle hint of shimmer to it which for me can get annoying, but I have learnt to live with it. I always have to wear bronzer, because I like that glowing look.

Dior Blush - This is something I dug up when tidying up my make up, this little box contains the perfect rosy pink blush for people who don't like to wear too much or too little. The shade is amazing for when you are scared of looking too pink, yet need some colour to add to your cheeks for an extra glow.

Urban Decay Primer Potion - The only eye primer I have ever used and what got me into wearing eye make up more frequently. The formula to this tube of magic is amazing, it helps your eye shadow to sit on your eye all day and all night without creasing at all.

Urban Decay NAKED palette - Where do I even start. All the shadows in this palette are perfect for you girls that prefer neutrals to heavy smokey eyes, this palette contains so many colours that you are spoilt for choice. For the night; I love applying half baked all over the lid, blended in with smog on the outer corner and using Virgin as a highlight.

Collection Big Fake Mascara - I have the original formula of this mascara and love it for adding volume and length to my lashes.I really want to try out the newer version to see how it compares to one another.

Natural Collection Eye Liner - Time after time I have tried to get a perfect neat line on my top lid, but it just doesn't seem to be happening. So instead I just use this pencil to line by water line and my tight line so that my eyes look like they've got these thick lashes.

Revlon Lip Butter in Sorbet - You will not be hearing the end of this, I promise you. My very first lip butter purchase and it certainly won't be my last one. These things are mega pigmented and feel like heaven on your lips because they just moisturise and leave them looking amazing.

I wore this look when I went out with my best friends to celebrate our results! Here are a few pics from the night out at Pizza Express and then a cheeky trip to Starbucks!
