5 Things: Revision Tips
Thursday, May 21
Here are 5 EASY AND SIMPLE Revision Tips to Help you during this busy exam season!
1. Try not to revise for hours on hours, do it in short spurts of revision which are around 30 minutes or so as these are going to be the most effective. Your concentration goes after about an hour and you will be spending the next hour creeping on Instagram so take a short break that is timed around 5-10 minutes.
2. Study in a comfortable place, whether this be your bedroom or even your dining room whatever suits you. Stay in a place that has no distractions or keep them away eg you phone, maybe even turn the wifi off!
3. Use different techniques to make your notes, we all have our own way but sometimes it gets a little bit repetitive and your brain becomes used to it so switch it up use mind maps, notes or even flashcards and use fancy stationery too .
4. It is much easier said than done but please don't try to get yourself too stressed out, if you find something difficult or find something in your notes that you don't remember then ask someone, or even my new favourite go on to youtube and watch a video about how to solve a problem - it's like a virtual lesson!
5. Believe in YOU. Never say 'You Can't Do It' because trust me you can, all it takes is a little bit of self encouragement and power yourself through it.
Revision Essentials
Tuesday, May 19
It's currently exam season and millions of us out there are going through thousands of emotions, I am one of those and am taking a break from the world of blogging but I have a few posts ready and waiting for you so don't worry about it. Today, I am talking about the essentials you need when revising from stationary to food!
First thing that everyone has to have a stash of is colourful things, fine liners are my number one friend you have a range of colours that allow you to make notes in different colours and it makes it easier to see what notes are where so you know what to look at in a rush. Let's be honest they also make everything look really pretty. Something that I have also been doing quite recently is starting to use post it notes the square form and the little strip ones that come in a dispenser like mine or on a pad, they allow you to write small prompts and add on notes to your current notes. Highlighters are also amazing if you want to make certain things stand out to you, like formulas and definitions.
Then we have the notebooks my favourite thing to buy (I'm a stationary geek), these basic ones are from Tesco a great place to buy all things pretty and simple. For £2 you can get the normal notebooks in different colours, I opted for a black and bright pink so that I can organise notes by units, one for unit 1 and 2 and the other for 3 and 4! The other style of notebooks that are great for revising are the project books that come with dividers inside, each section enables you to split your notes up into different categories or sub topics - this will make life a lot easier.
Brain Food + Breaks
When you are revising it is vital that you make time to have a break, whether this is every hour or every 20 minutes go out of the room and give yourself a breather. You won't be able to concentrate for a long period of time and also try not to keep yourself trapped in one room for the entire time because trust me you will get bored.
Keep some snacks by your side as well in case you feel pekish, It is really had to avoid the 'bad food' like chocolate and crisps but try to eat more healthier stuff like fruit (buy the pre cut packets from the supermarkets which will make it much easier!) and nuts which are the best thing for your brain. Also drink plenty and plenty of WATER!
Good Luck if you have any exams coming up!
The Essentials; Desk ♥
Thursday, January 30
After my post on what I keep by my beside, which you can read here...I decided to do a desk version along with a few more coming up in the next few weeks all under the title 'The Essentials..'. Taking you around the most important parts of my desk (not the messy parts)
Here is a birds eye view of my desk, it is from Ikea and comes in many other colours as well as white, I like this one as you can see that it has different sections and I like to be a organised freak and keep everything sectioned up. I won't be showing you the draw on the left and the cupboard underneath as it is a state full of school stuff!
Here is a birds eye view of the top of my desk, which is where all the 'magic' happens! I sit here and blog, write, read as well as do all my homework therefore I keep it as tidy as I can so that everything is at hand. My desk is also the first thing you kind of see when you enter my room so I like it to look pretty and cute!
Let's start on the left hand side, I have this lamp from Ikea that I love switching on at night as it lights up my room. I received this beautiful mask from a good friend and it fits my whole room colour scheme of 'purple', this is standing on a plate that I decorated when I was very young! The owl ornament is something I bought at Christmas time from Store Twenty One and love how scary and pretty it looks at the same time, it used to be to hold down some papers but now I love it on its own. Next to this small but deadly owl is a pack of sticky notes, which are a absolute life saver in my opinion. There are a endless list of things you can do with them such as writing down things you need to remember to do, or even write a motivational quote down and then read it when you are working.
The photo frame to the side of this, is of me and my bestie Aamira from prom that she got for me for Christmas and I love having on my desk as it constantly makes me smile!
Then we move to the centre part of my desk, where I have my laptop - or in other words my life. Without this little heavy, hot machinery I would not be able to survive. I am always needing it to do some blogging, homework, or even just browsing the internet. Next to it I have a Pukka Pad I am a list making freak and having this by my side is great as I can write down any tasks I need to do, or even any ideas that I have when it comes to blogging.
As we move towards the right of my desk, we have the cute section in my opinion. I have some highlighters as I am always needing them for revision or even note taking as it makes everything look a lot more comfortable! On top of that I have a small notepad that is the easiest thing I have ever discovered, thanks to this I can now carry something around in all of my bags so if I ever remember anything, it is easier to note things down. Then we have a big pot of Cadbury's hot chocolate; which it just a guilty pleasure of mine. I have recently been loving to have a cup of hot coca with some cream and it keeps me going when I am hard at work.
Then on top of the treat box, I have a plant pot from Ikea that I have decided to use for something else as it is such a multi functional product. I currently have another for lip glosses and in this one I store some paper clips, rubber bands, biro pens and a memory stick for all my school work - which makes life easier as I am always needing to save work.
This draw is the one I use the most and is the tidiest of them all. In here I keep my purse, phone, cables and little bits of pieces. As well as some cheeky chocolate to have with that cup of hot chocolate after a long night. I like to keep my desk as organised as I can so that it is easier to find things when I need them.
To buy all off my essentials, be sure to check out Viking where you can buy everything you need to give your desk a makeover and even colour co-ordinate everything!

Blogmas Day 7 || What's in my Handbag? ♥
Saturday, December 7
I don’t know how I have managed to be on this blog for over
a year and not posted a what’s in my handbag post! I guess the main reason is
because I am always switching up the bags I use, therefore if I was to post the
contents it would change the next week! However, I have now found a bag that I
will be using all the time and the stuff inside is there to stay!
This is my most used handbag, it is from Store Twenty one
and was reduced from £15 to £12! I loved the trapezium shape as well as the
gold studded detail along the front. If it appears small on screen then I
apologise as looking at it with your own eyes – it is huge! Well, I say big but
not for me as I like to have a big bag as I put my whole bedroom in it! Inside
is even bigger with two pockets and a zip one so even more room than you will
ever need!
Purse – This is a very old purse from Primark that I got
last summer and haven’t stopped using since, it is the perfect size to fit
everything in accordingly and has such a pretty pattern. I have been meaning to
replace it but I just haven’t found the perfect one to get in replacement.
Compact Mirror – Again another purchase from Primark that I
hauled a few months back it does the job and nothing else really. The sparkly
pink top lifts to reveal two mirrors, a small one and a zoomed in one which
scares me every time I open it.
Notebook* – My mind is always on the go so I have now
started to carry around a notebook with me and even though this is big I love
using it. This is from Little Birds and you can find out more about it here.
Deodorant + Hand Food – these two come with me wherever my
travels take me. I have to have spray with me all the time for those sweaty
situations and of course my trustworthy hand cream from soap and glory which
tackles my dry hands.
Ipod + Headphones – When in the car I love listening to
music or even playing different games which can become an addiction after a few
hours. These headphones are perfect for my weird ears that don’t like to have
anything it them. I bought them in the cash and carry for really cheap and love
them.
Phone – This isn’t pictured as I use it to take my pictures
but I have to of course have my life with me all the time because everything
happens on that little device.
Makeup Bag – every girl must needed items in one place. I
thought as I have a big bag I might as well but all the beauty related items in
one bag so that they are all together. Instead of writing each thing out I took
a picture and labelled it all down below after newly teaching myself something
on Photoshop.

10 Beauty Products Every Woman Should Own ♥
Saturday, February 16
Well hello there! I am now officially on half term for one week! Which means blogmania! I will now have so much time to blog ect. and I'm off to London on Wednesday, so loads of pics! And I shall also be uploading outfits of the week..
Today's blog comes from my winter essentials post, it is 10 products that every woman out there should own! If you carry these around, you will never have a bad day again!
1. Blush - Blush is the ultimate instant picker-upper. Whether it's rose, apricot, raspberry, or fuchsia, gel, cream, liquid, or powder, nothing livens up the face faster than dab a fabulous flush with a pretty pop of colour swiped across the apples of your cheeks for an instance glow!
2. Concealer - If you find yourself affected by dark circles, blemishes, pimples, and redness on a regular basis, it’s high time to become a pro at masking your minor imperfections. Make concealer your beauty BFF—nothing stands a chance against this cosmetic camouflage.
3. Eye Cream - Even though wrinkles are unavoidable you can get rid of them for a while by sticking to a good preventive care regimen. Start using eye cream now to smooth over fine lines, reduce puffiness and the appearance of under-eye baggage, and brighten dull, sallow, shadowy skin.
4. Red Lipstick - My fav! Much like your signature perfume scent, every girl needs a go-to red lipstick right by her side. It's appropriate to wear whatever the occasion wearing it makes you appear more confident and shows that you like to be different. Whether it’s crimson, cherry, cardinal, cinnamon, or candy apple, choose a shade that flatters your specific complexion and enjoy the high-fives on your bold beauty move.
5. BB Cream - BB Cream's have only recently become extremely popular, this is because they not only give you a healthy shine but they are so good for your skin! It’s what someone would describe as a sheer foundation, moisturiser primer, and toner all in one. That's not even the best part?! It not only allows you to build colour but it also gives you coverage to hide even the worst of blemishes but actually treats them. Double-duty beauty!
6. Mascara - Long, luscious lashes are equivalent to the cherry on top of your favourite dessert. And it’s OK if yours aren't naturally show stopping you can easily add a little oomph to your everyday look. Take your lashes from short to full and fluffy in 30 seconds flat by swiping a few coats of mascara through them.
7. Dry Shampoo - The beauty world's eqivalent to sugar! Buy yourself a little extra time between shampoos with a dry variation. The powder formula absorbs excess oil, dirt, product buildup, and odor, quickly cleansing your locks without even getting your hair wet.
8. Deep Conditier - Regardless of style, texture, and current chemical state, everyone’s hair could benefit from a little extra TLC. Take the time to treat your locks once or twice a month to an intensive, deep-conditioning session that’ll nourish, fortify, and moisturize your mane. Trust us—your newly strengthened strands will thank you for it!
9. Face Wipes - You’re too tired, you've had a long day…blah, blah, blah! Sleeping in your makeup is absolutely TERRIBLE for your skin’s health and appearance, so before you drift off into la-la land, the least you can do is quickly remove it Here’s a quick tip: keep it out so you can see it at night!
10. Sunscreen - No matter your age, ethnicity, complexion, or skin type—should be protecting your most precious asset from incredibly harmful UVA/UVB rays on a daily basis, whether the sun is shining or not.
