The other day I received a lovely package from Collection! I won a competition where I won a signed FanFair smokey eyes kit! I had actually had my eyes on this palette for a while, as I was wanting to try out some smokey eyes for events happening later on in the year. So here are swatches of the colours...

The palette is such a pretty, cute palette! It is great for travelling as it so small and easy to carry round - even handbag size so I can take it everywhere. The back of the palette does actually tell you how to apply the shadows but mine has signatures over it - oops. The swatches from the palette below are taken in columns the medium, dark and then light with the cream.

First of all, the medium shades are all very pigmented and have a nice shimmery base to them. The first is a silver shimmer shadow which looks amazing on the eye as a base on its own; the second is a  gold shimmer shadow which is also great as a base for the eye as well as the third which is more of a whiter colour.

The second column of shadows are much darker, the first is the darkest of them all as it is a jet black colour that gets applied in the corners and the edges. The second a brown matte colour which I LOVE on it's own all over the lid and on the outer corner. Finally the final one is a golder brown compared to the one above which is really pigmented.

These three final, lighter shades are the nicest they are creamier and great for highlighting. The first one is a white shadow that is my favourite to highlight the upper part of your brow bone! And finally the cream shade, which is specifically designed to highlight the inner corner of your eye to give your smokey eye a nice finish!

I recommend buying this palette if you are wanting to do a smokey eye look on a budget, it definitely delivers amazing result for the price you pay. I am going to be having so much fun with this palette in the future and can't wait to try it out!! p.s it so cheap!!

Models Own Review ♥

Hey everyone!!! First off all i want to say a huge, big thankyou for getting my blog to over 1000 views! I don't usually look at views ect. as i'm not really bothered - but this is AMAZING! thankyou!! Today's review is of a bunch of models own products that I picked up at the Clothes Show last year, however didn't really get to look at them properly. So I decided to take them out of the bag and use them!

First up nail polishes! I have heard a great deal of positive about the models own nail polishes! I constantly see them on my tumblr, and instagram dashboard! At the clothes show you got to pick two shades to have in your goodie bag! These are the two i picked, I don't really go for the glitter based polishes as I prefer to put glitter on as a top coat. But it was a different story with these, i fell in love with them! 'Scarlett Sparkle' looks amazing over a red polish or even two coats of it by its self look amazing too! The second 'Pinky Brown Bettle Juice' (love the name!) is a deep purple colour with glitter and looks amazing for a night out! The models own website allows you to view each polish in their collection!

The next thing is the lip products, the first is their lip gloss and the second their lip balm. The lip balm is very moisturising - it doesn't feel heavy on the lips but makes them feel soft all day! The lipgloss is a gloss that is very sticky, i personally don't mind lipglosses that are sticky as they give a nice finish to your lips and have a better pigment. These products can't seem to be found online I'm afraid :(

The next few things are eye products, however I also included the lip liner in this section as I also had the eye liner...wierd I know! The first is the pro-eyeliner, oh my golly gosh ..you guys! I hate liquid liner, as it never goes on properly for me, however I don't know what it is with this but, this just works a treat! I can hold the bottle perfectly and it draws a line in one stroke! The second is the pencil liner, which I adore, it gives such good colour where as many pencil liners don't these days! It also is such a smooth thing to apply! The lip liner is my fav! The colour is one that I would never ever have thought of buying however, I just had a different liking to this colour on me! I LOVE IT!

Pout Pamper + DIY Lip Scrub ♥

After yesterday's post on giving your self a manicure in this cold weather, I thought I would upload a post today and tomorrow along the trend of Winter! Brrrr! When the weather turns cold I always find that my lips become dry, chapped and nasty!! So here are a few simple steps you can do if your lips change in the cold weather!
DIY Lip Scrub

Exfoliate
You know how your Exfoliate your face and skin to remove all the dry skin cells..? Well you should do the exact same to your lips! It may seem really odd at first but by scrubbing them you are protecting them from chapping. You can buy 3 different flavoured lip scrubs at LUSH for £5.25 each and it is worth every penny you spend! You can buy them here :) If you don't want to go out in this cold weather and buy the scrubs, you can make your own at home!

DIY Lip Scrub

You will need ..

  • Sugar (white or brown will do)
  • Oil ( olive, light, coconut, almond whatever!)
  • Honey
  • Small Container/ Used up lip balm container (if you are going to be making lots!
I recommend using whatever amount of ingredients you want, depending on how much you are planning on making! To achieve this super scrub, all you have to do is combine the sugar and oil together in a small bowl or the container you may be using until the sugar absorbs the oil. Add a small squirt of honey to mould the mixture for the scrub together - this way it will have a texture that isn't messy to use. Transfer the mixture into a container or apply onto your lips to remove the flaky skin you may have.

Day & Night

Day - I always carry around a lip balm, so whenever my lips need a little bit of therapy I will have something handy!   DON'T ever be shy with the amount of balm you apply - go over the top if you must! It will help your lips soo much and leave them irresistibly soft!

Night - When it comes to bedtime, apply your lip balm on your lips, so you can wake up with smooth, luscious lips! At night I prefer using Vaseline  because I feel comfortable sleeping in it and it doesn't make my lips sticky .. if you get me?! I love the Vaseline range, any of their products make me fall in LOVE!! My fav lip balm has to be the Rosy one - because it's pink! This is available to buy almost anywhere! Or you can buy it online !

Teen Talk Tuesday; Under Eye Circles ♥

Hey Everyone!
I'm going to be doing this Teen Talk Tuesdays every month or even some times more than once a month! This post is all about under eye circles ... i get them, so do a lot of teens these days! In this post I will be explaining how they are caused and how they can de dealt with and we can banish them!!

How are under eye circles caused?

1. One of the main causes of dark circles under your eyes is rubbing them. This is due to any allergies that you may have due to the change of seasons or even various foods. If your dark circles are caused because of the allergies, that you may have then make sure you use a very gentle cleanser and be sure to avoid rubbing your eyes.

2. Another main cause for under eye circles are genetics. If your parents or anyone in your family suffer from dark circles, it is very possible you will also suffer.

3.  Dark circles can also occur due to thinning of your skin! This is why you may notice that dark circles increase as you grown up. As our bodies are constantly changing, I wouldn't use any medicine to fix this as it could affect it and make it worse.

TIP-Use a gentle eye cream daily on affected areas,  tap it very gently into the eye area with your middle finger. Please avoid tugging or pulling at the eye area it can cause the problem to increase and worsen. Avoid sleeping on your stomach, as this can increase blood pooling under the eyes. Try to sleep on your back, if at all possible.

How to deal with under eye circles?

1. One of the things you could do is take two green-tea bags and soak them in hot water. Then put these in the freezer until they become very cool. Place them on over eyes and sit with them on for 15-20 minutes. The caffeine in the green-tea will help with dark circles around the eyes.

2. Apply cucumber slices to your eyes. Cucumbers are high in water content and will slowly soothe the bags under your eyes. Leave the cucumber on your eyes for 15 minutes, then throw the slices away.

3.Get your beauty sleep GIRLS!!  Make sure you get plenty of sleep every night! Lack of sleep can tend to cause the skin to become paler which can increase the appearance of darkness under the eyes.

4. Please, please please remove all eye make-up before you go to sleep. If you don't do so, when you get older, your eyes can look much more tired on a daily basis.

5. Eating healthy can improve you in everyway! Make sure you have a balanced diet, eating plenty of fruits and veggies!!

6.Use a frozen spoon!!  Put a spoon in the freezer for 10-15 minutes then take it out and cover the circles with it. Hold it there until the spoon is warm again.

Dress to suit you ♥

As it is currently party season, and coming up to new years eve with all the party's. I thought it would be a good idea to give you a guide on how to dress appropriately for the body shape that you are. The worst thing to do is to wear something unflattering and have everyone talk about you.

1. THE PEAR SHAPE
A pear shaped women has hips that are wider than the shoulders, your bottom is rounded and your waist is noticeable. Your best feature's are your shoulders, and the flat stomach. My drawing attention to your waist and arms you are balancing out the upper and lower body.

DON'T - wear items of clothing that focus on your hips & thighs
DO- Mix up light and dark colours so they contrast.
DO- Wear strapless dresses to show off those arms and balance the top and bottom.
DO- Go with the pointy toed shoes to elongate your legs.

2. RECTANGLE SHAPED
Rectangular body shapes have hips, shoulders and a waist that are similar in width. Your best feature's are your arms and legs which means you don't have to take attention away from other parts of your body. BY just creating curves in your body you are showing those arms and legs off.

DO - Wear tops that have collars, ruffles or any detail that will flatter your top half.
DO - Layer items of clothing to add more shape.
DO- Feel free to experiment with a range of different colours.
DON'T - Go too daring with prints and patterns

3. APPLE SHAPED BODY
Women with apple shapes figures find that their weight gathers above the narrow hips that they have. There ribs, back and shoulders are broad and can tend to make you feel wider than others. But a advantage to being apple shaped is the LEGS!! If you show off the legs and create the image of having a waist - you'll look amazing!

DO- Buy tops with v-necks for a longer torso image.
DO- Wear belts that fit around the smallest part of your waist.
DO- Go for the empire tops and dresses which will do their best to hide any tummy bulge.
DO- Boot cut and flared jeans are your best bet to create a even line from head to toe.

4. HOURGLASS FIGURE
Being an hourglass figure, means that you are a very lucky woman! Your hips & shoulders are similar in width and lie in between a tiny waist. CURVES are your best assest ... showing these off will get anyone drooling.
DON'T- Please don't cover up those curves with baggy clothing
DO- Wear dresses that are fitted to show off those curves
DO- By wearing a belt you are showing off that hourglass shape
DO- Go and try wearing skinny or straight leg jeans.

Wardrobe Essentials! Winter Edition ♥

There are those certain things that everyone women/girl should have in there wardrobe especially in WINTER! .. here is my top 5 things that you SHOULD probably have!

1. Leggings - Black,Grey,Blue, green whatever colour! Everyone needs those comfy, stretchy leggings in the wardrobe that you can go and wear whatever the occasion, you could wear them during the day and dress it down .. or even wear it at night and dress it up!

2. Boots- I adore wearing boots In the winter! They are so comfy and look amazing with any outfit. For winter I prefer wearing knee high black/brown boots or even ankle booties. They look perfect with some jeans or even leggings! Ugg boots (fake or real) are also great for the winter time!

3. Jumpers - Seriously though... Why wouldn't you have a jumper in you wardrobe when the weather is dreadfully cold!! I Love the big oversized jumpers/sweaters that you can buy and just wear with leggings or even a pair of jeans! It's an item of clothing that just makes you feel relaxed and warm at the same time!

4. Jeans- whatever style of jeans you have from skinny to boot cut  straight to long length. Every person should have a pair of go to jeans that they know they can rely on. I have several Pairs of jeans that I depend on during winter...with out them I'd be lost!!! Jeans make you feel so cool/warm in the winter and look perfect with practically anything else you have in your wardrobe; as well as things mentioned in this post.

5: And finally...the scarf! Having a scarf during winter isn't 'uncool' it's the next possible accessory you could have during the winter. You could wear it to keep you warm, however I also use it to update my outfit and add a little splash of colour or print to my over all fabric! Scarf's are super cute, and you can wear it soo many ways! Another type of scarf that is great for the winter is a 'snood' there are sooo warm!
