Since starting my full time teaching job last September, it has become really important to maintain some sort of 'work, life balance'. Which means having days where I just switch off, evenings where I do nothing and days where I don't stress about the little things. With teaching, there is a tendancy of doing more work than you need to, and trying to stay ahead of them game - when truthfully, that just can't happen. I pushed myself a lot in the first half term and it was draning, both physically and mentally. Its a job that I enjoy, I shouldn't be hating the work life. These are some of the things I've learnt to do along the way; to help with having a life and working at the same time.

Afternoon Tea at Wentbridge + OOTD ♥
Monday, July 15
As we arrived at the venue, we were seated in the bar area where we were treated to some yummy olives and roasted almonds. That we gobbled down so quick I realised after ward that I forgot to take a photo. We ate the snacks whilst waiting for the other bloggers to arrive.
After everyone arrived and we all had chance to have a snack, we made our way into the restaurant area. This was the part I was most looking forward to – The Afternoon Tea. It was my first tea that I was going to and couldn't be beyond excited to experience it. First was the usual tea and coffee round and then onto the yummy stuff (DISCLAIMER; you are about to get seriously jealous and hungry!) Everyone got a plate of finger sandwiches to share with a variety of gorgeous fillings; mine were different to the other bloggers because I am a vegetarian. Once everyone had finished there sandwiches or whenever you personally finished there was a lovely display of desserts ready to be eaten up.
On the bottom were scones which are the traditional posh afternoon tea desserts, which were served with local jam and clotted cream – both which were amazing on their own and even better together on a scone. The plate above was these yummy little chocolate cakes that were basically a choco-o-holics dream! They were so rich and just melted in your mouth. The top plate was the one I was looking forward to most; this plate consisted of slices of a passion fruit cheesecake and macaroons. My first reason for looking forward to it was because I had never tried passion fruit cheesecake before and it was so beautifully decorated that it was just too good to eat. The second reason was because it was my very first time trying macaroons and oh my. They were delicious and I just wanted to carry on eating them because they were so good and that’s why both these desserts were by far my favourite of the lot.

After everything was gobbled up and everyone had a chat, we were then guided around the house and the hotel. As you can see by the pictures down below, the grounds and the accommodation are such a lovely place. There is an older much more unique building and then the newer building, both have accommodation facilities that are spectacular! Each room was decorated differently and had its own personal touch. The view from each home was also great.
Overall, I had such an amazing time and If the pictures mad you gasp and make your jaw drop then I suggest you visit. I recommend the place so much because their service and the house its self is amazing. It would be perfect for a weekend away; Wentbridge is also a lovely small town where it is quiet as it is basically out of the way.
I thought that I would also show you my outfit that I wore in this post as well! It was a hot summers day, so I decided to go with this coral coloured dress from Matalan. This dress was reduced in the dress sale that they have going on to £5! You can find more of the reduced dresses on line, and this one in store. I teamed it with this tan coloured belt around my waist and paired it with my new look sandals that aren't pictured here!
