In the second part of my winter series, I am sharing with you all my essentials for the mouth, body and skin. Whether you're a beauty fanatic or lazy girl, these products are bound to help you in someway.

Winter Wardrobe Staples Every Woman Should Own

For the next few posts I am going to be talking all about winter and the things that are the most important. Today this series is being kicked off with a guest post...

With the coldest two months just ahead of us, making sure you have everything you need to be able to stay warm and dry is essential. With this in mind I thought I would put together this short winter wardrobe staples article.

Winter to Spring Fashion

I don't know about anyone else but I am finding it really hard at the moment to know what to wear. One day its sunny the next its snowing (no joke) but I finally have some key pieces in my wardrobe. These pieces are going to be perfect for taking my style from winter to spring without having to invest in a whole new wardrobe. They also aren't that expensive and can be worn so many different ways I will be living in the same outfits for the next few months.

Brantano Autumn/Winter Wishlist

'Give a girl the right shoes and she can conquer the world' what a great saying. I truly believe that the shoes you wear can make you feel like woman in power and that you are going to have a great day ahead just by putting on a pair of comfy shoes. Sandals no longer have a home in my heart but fluffly slippers and winter boots do! Brantano have recently bought out their Autumn/Winter range and I am just slightly in love. Here are my top 6 picks from the range...

Brantano Autumn/Winter Wishlist

Shoes in the winter have two be two things 1. Practice and 2.Stylish, that's where Wellies come in. They are great for a day out in the cold weather and if they look as nice as these tweedy ones why wouldn't you want to wear them.
One thing that I love to do in the Autumn but don't do enough of is go for a stroll. The crisp autumn leaves underneath your feet and the fresh air that surrounds you. My university is all on campus which means that I really don't get out much, but maybe a pair of walking boots would encourage me to get out there and walk. Its good exercise and a chance for me to listen to all the music on my ipod that hasn't been listened to. I love that the detailing on these boots is purple my favourite colour.
England isn't really known for the typical snowy winter weather but when it does come we do enjoy it to the fullest! I never seem to know what shoes to wear when it does snow, do i wear boots and risk slipping over? Or do I wear wellies and get them wet through? Brantano have a range of snow boots which are to die for. They look so warm and cosy that I want to buy some now and wear them just so my feet are kept warm. The Laverock ones don't look too bulky either so they won't be weighing you down.
4.  Caravelle Leather Antique Knee High Boots - Was £90.00 Now £49.00
Now we get into the wishlist that consists of your more everyday footwear. First up is a gorgeous tan coloured pair of knee high boots. I seem to only ever buy black boots that go over the knee but these tan coloured ones look stunning and the heel is a perfect size for me. They seem to be slightly ashy as well which is unusual but paired with blue jeans and a white shirt would look amazing.
Then we have my newest obsession of footwear - ankle boots. These are great if you love boots but don't like the whole knee high thing as they sit nicely on the bottom half of your leg and come in various different styles. My personal favourites are ones with a little heel on as the flat ones make me feet look huge. The black ones are your typical style with the quilted design at the back it is perfect for informal and formal days. But then there are the red ones which are just unbelievable. The snake like pattern gives them this edge and matches the majority of lipsticks and nail polishes I currently use - who doesn't love coordinating?

The whole Brantano A/W range is amazing and I could spend hours browsing the site to see all the different shoes if you fancy it then you can view the entire Autumn/Winter Range over on their site!

Outfit Of The Day ft The Front Row ♥

I know, I know, a well over do outfit of the day! Today I am just sharing with you a simple/casual outfit that I chose to wear to be comfortable and warm!
The Front Row
Jumper//Primark - I love this jumper so much, that I have worn it that many times and then washed it and I swear that it is now shrinking! I love knitted jumpers like and love wearing them in winter time, with and without a t-shirt underneath.
Leggings//Primark - This is a staple item in my wardrobe. good old leggings. these things come in handy all the time, whether I am wearing it with a jumper or even just a t-shirt to lounge around in; every girl needs a pair of comfy leggings.

The Front Row
Necklace// New Look - As I thought that the jumper was quite plain I decided to go with  a statement long necklace from New Look the it place for me and my jewellery at the moment. And I love having a necklace with a jumper as it makes feel so much more decent enough to wear outside.

The other two items of jewellery that I have currently been lusting are these two amazing and unique items from The Front Row. On the left is this gorgeous gold coloured bracelet* with pink studs around it, I love how simple it is yet looks so amazingly elegant and great on your hand and with my necklace it works perfectly together! The second is something unusual and quirky which has now become my absolute favourite, this sweetheart inspired sweet ring* looks good enough to eat. And a splash of yellow colour can never do any harm to a plain white outfit.

If you like things like this or want to expand your collection of different necklaces, bracelets and rings then check out the full range here.

The Autumn Tag ♥

The Autumn Tag

I have recently started to take part in the twitter chats that happen on a Sunday night using the tag #bbloggers, and on the first day of September everyone was talking about what things they were looking forward to about autumn and their favourite things. This got me well and truly excited about the next few months as autumn (fall in america) is my favourite time of year. During the chat, I saw that a blogger had created a Autumn Tag, my heart jumped with excitement and I just had to do complete it! The lovely Georgia from Makeup-Pixi3 created this amazing and tag and you should all follow her and check her blog out!
For Autumn, what is your...

1. Favourite thing about it? I have to really shorten down this answer, as I have a long list of things! First of all I love the weather, even though majority of people prefer being warm - i like the cold, crisp evenings where it starts to turn dark early and you get that little bit of chill at night! I also love the clothes; cardigans and jumpers are my favourite things to wear!! They feel so warm and are uber comfy that I could just live in sweaters!

2. Favourite drink? Anything cinnamon, pumpkin or vanilla spiced! It tastes so warm and yummy in my mouth and is to die for! I really want to try the drinks that Starbucks bring out at this time of year as I didn't get a chance last year!

3. Favourite scent/candle? Just like drink, I love cinnamon, pumpkin and vanilla smelling candles! Anything spicy will do for me! Yankee Candle have bought a new Salted Caramel range out and I want to get my hands on it! For perfume, I don't really change my everyday wear as I prefer wearing the sweet scents.

4. Best lipstick? Not a big lipstick lover, so around this time of year I tend to stick with the neutral colours or things that give me a natural lip tint! I do want to try a berry colour though.

5. Go to moisturiser? My Simple Moisturiser is great for the summer time as it is very light, but through the colder months .. my skin suffers! I switch to good old Nivea to tackle all that dryness!

6. Go to colours for the eyes? My favourite eye shadow combination for Autumn has to be a mix of deep purple/berry on the outer corner and then neutrals on the eyelids and crease. I also love wearing a bronze/copper coloured smokey eye.

7. Favourite music or band/singer to listen to? My music taste doesn't change! I just listen to everything on my ipod that is current!

8. Favourite outfit to wear (i.e. boots & a scarf combo)? There are so many outfits I love wearing around this time of year! My ideal one and favourite has to be leggings, a big over sized jumper with my knee high boots or ankle boots. It keeps me warm and comfy!
9. Autumn treat? (i.e. a new scarf or bag you have your eye on) I really want to splurge on some new scarf's for the winter and autumn seasons as I think they make any outfit look amazing! Also got my eye on the new Models Own Fireworks collection as that looks promising.

10. Favourite place to be? Home. There is no doubt in my mind that I love being at home, in my soft pj's with a movie on and sipping on a good old cup of hot chocolate. Nothing can beat time with the family!

Autumn Ready Skin ♥

We are in AUTUMN! I love this month, there are so many things about it that I just want to marry the season. As this season begins and we draw closer into the colder, winter months your skin really needs looking after! This is really a Teen Talk Tuesday..however my Tuesday posts for now are TheSoProject, so I thought that this can have it's own post!

Autumn Ready Skin
Source

Even though I adore the summer months, the warm weather, holidays and frequent dips in the sea..it can play serious havoc with your skin even if you have been looking after it. This is why autumn is a great time to scrub away all the damage that the summer has done to your skin and properly prep it for the colder months.! So let's begin to scrub away summer! First of all run a nice warm bath and scrub away all fake tan and dead skin that tends to pile up during the summer months. Think of yourself as getting rid of the old and getting ready for the new!

The weather in the winter months can make your skin go one of two ways: either you will have a beautiful inner glow complete with rosy cheeks and lips, or you will look grey, washed out and in need of a skincare overhaul. This is why it is so important that you switch your skincare products to those that will protect your skin against the colder elements and leave your skin looking and feeling radiant!

In the summer months make-up should look as natural as possible, however when it comes to autumn and winter it’s time to vamp things up. Think about the colours you usually associate with falling leaves during autumn and try and co-ordinate your make-up accordingly. Red, gold and brown are all great colours to experiment with, however just make sure that you pick the right shades for your skin tone otherwise you could end up looking washed out.

Teen Talk Tuesday; Stress

So, I'm going to introduce something called 'teen talk Tuesday' where I'll be talking about teen related topics! Because I'm a teen (15) I find it easier to write about these things than other adult problems! Haha!
Today's topic is ... 'STRESS'

What is stress?
Everyone, get's stressed. Whether it is work related, school or even relationship stress -everyone experiences it! But What exactly is it? Stress which is also know as  the "flight or fight" response, increases our heartbeats, which then speeds our metabolism and heightens our awareness for things around us. Stress in small amounts can be good for us and our bodies. However if these stressful feeling  last for long periods of time, they can keep you in panic for too long. This then starts to affect us physically, mentally and emotionally.

How is it caused?
Stress can be caused by a numerous reasons, it really depends on the person it is happening to and how there body responds. What may be stressful for me, may not be stressful for you.

  • Family problems - these can include divorces that may be happening, deaths within the family or even money problems.
  • For many teens, moving into a new school can also cause stress
  • Difficulty in school - if a maybe have learning difficulties, or even stress over exams.
  • Friends - There may have been a fall out over friends, peer pressure or even at this age relationship problems.
  • Too Much - You may actually be doing more than you can cope with, too many actives at school or out of school, part time jobs and so on.
  • Body Changes - this basically speaks for its self.
  • SLEEP! - Not having enough sleep can really affect you mentally and cause you problems and stress.
  • Future- You may be at the stage, where you have to decide/plan what you may be doing in the future.
Solutions?
Don't 'stress' though guys, there are many solutions and ways you can work around this..
  • Talk - Talking to your parents/friends/family or even teachers about what may be bothering you is the way to get started. By Talking to someone else and working out your problems will help reduce the built up tension you have inside.
  • Relax - Find something you enjoy doing, even if it is just watching TV or watching YouTube videos. Your mind will become at rest and you don't have to worry about anything.
  • Be prepared - Don't wait until last minute to finish off projects, homework ect. this can cause you un-needed stress that you really don't need. Feeling prepared and ready for things can reduce lots of built up stress.
  • Relaxation techniques - Techniques such as Breathing exercises or even meditation are great techniques for getting rid of the built up tension inside.
