Summer Nails 2015

Summer Nails 2015

Summer is here and the best thing for me about the change in season is the change in my nail colours. I put away the deep berries and bring out the bright ones, in today's post I am going to give you the low down on my top 5 favourite picks for this year!

Rimmel Wild-er-Ness (£2.99)
Wild-er-Ness from Rimmel is a stunning lavender purple and I adore anything that is purple. This is a colour in-between a pastel and a bright, because it is very subtle. You need two even coats to get the colour in the bottle, since Rimmel have re-branded all their polishes there has been an improvement in the formula. It isn't as thick and the brush doesn't split when you use it.
Essie Resort Fling (£7.99)
I have previously talked about this colour on here already so this will be short and sweet. Out of all the colours mentioned in this post, Resort Fling is by far my favourite. It is a lovely orangey coral colour but isn't blinding that it looks ugly on your fingers. Everything looks good with this colour as well and it screams summer.
BarryM Eat My Dust (£3.99)
The Speedy range from BarryM is a pure stroke of genius and a range that lives by the name 'quick drying'. Eat my Dust is the best colour from the range in my opinion because of its uniqueness. it is a powdery, cornflower blue that has a grey undertone making it flattering to my darker skin tone. It is also a great 'toe nail colour' for the summer.
Maybelline Red Hot Getaway (£4.49)
This is the newest polish in my collection, I picked it up the other week after seeing the words NEW next to it in Superdrug. I haven't red much about this new shade from the range but let me tell you, it is amazing. It can be best described as a muted pink coral and looks perfect with a tan! It is currently on my toes and fingers because I am in love with it that much. These also do actually last for 7 days like it says - highly recommend buying them.
Nails Inc Uptown (£15.00)
Nails Inc have got the gel effect look for half the price thing nailed down. The shade Uptown isn't as bright as the rest of my picks but sometimes a nice nude nail polish is just what you need during the summer months.

These are my top 5 five, what are yours?

Top 5 Summer Nail Polish Picks ♥

If you guys don’t know me by now then I love painting my nails, and the summer time is favourite to paint them because of all the bright and pastel colours. These are my top picks for the summer that I personally love wearing throughout the summer months they look great on their own and mixed together as a matter of fact. Majority of these have already featured on my blog, so I will link them down below.

First up is a colour that is not great for just summer, but for all year round. This is ‘Lychee’ from the gelly range that BarryM have bought out, all the colours in the range are amazing and because the nail polish is so thick you get this lovely shiny, gel like finish with and without a top coat. This colour looks amazing on its own and with a spot of glitter over it and it is that perfect no nail polish look. I can’t describe this colour; it is like a cream beige nude colour that is just well perfect.

Next up, is a new purchase from NYC. A brand that I go on and off purely because the first nail polish I got dried up and went all lumpy and I was really disappointed. This however has changed my expectations of the brand and has turned that frown upside down. This ‘Raindrop’ colour is a gorgeous blue colour that for me looks like the sky on a lovely summers day and I can’t stop starring and wearing it.

This is a little gem isn't it? MUA have just stolen my heart. There nail polishes are only £1 a pot and live up to the hype and the price in my opinion. This is my favourite of there nail polishes ‘Pistachio Ice Cream’ the name makes me hungry all the time as well. This is a lovely mint green colour which is slightly more pastel toned than other mints I have previously had and with two coats you get such a pretty colour on your nails.

Avon nail polishes are something that I don’t think get shouted out about lots, maybe because they are a magazine? Who knows! I love the colours and ‘viva pink’ is my favoruite of them all so far. This nail wear pro colour is such a exquisite deep pink colour that looks amazing on your nails all the time. With two coats and a top coat you get a lovely shine and finish that lasts for up to a week. The brush in these bottles is also really good because it covers your whole nail.

And last but not least, a sunshine coral. Maybelline have bought out so many amazing colours in their new colour show range and ‘coral craze’ has just ticked every box for me personally. The formula looks very watery but on your nail is it perfect and even with one coat you could get away with it but two just seal the deal. They last on my nails for more than a week and then it decides to slightly chip in corners but the colour is just the perfect peachy coral for the summer time.
