Diwali or Festive Makeup

Happy Diwali to those who celebrate! Every time we get to this time of year I really start to think about how quickly time is going. This year I am spending Diwali (today 11th) with my flat mates going for a lovely meal and then with the family at the weekend. Very odd. I love showing what I did for my make-up and the aim was something pretty yet bright! I based everything around the dress which is the Dhalia dress, very pretty and summery but in the evening is going to look amazing. There are hints of pink and red coming from the flowers on the dress so i decided to keep that as the theme and went for that colour on my lips. The shade Date Night is from Seventeen* and is a lovely pinky colour but to amp it up I added the red from the All Out Lip Palette* which looked amazing! Because the lips and dress were so bright I went with a warm glow to the face, starting with my trustee L'Oreal Foundation, L.A Girls Concealer and Seventeen Contour Kit*. Summer might be over but I like my skin to have a bronze colour to it. I am also LOVING highllighting, why it has taken me so long to get on board I have no idea but it looks gorgeous on the skin and lasts all day, for this look I used the MAC Soft & Gentle.  Then we go onto the eyes for this I used the Seventeen Easy on the Eye Palette* which is full of smoky, dark colours. The palette also comes with a primer and cream shadows to help keep your eye make-up on all night long, I only touched the bottom row of colours. Followed by the smallest amount of Falsifeye Mascara*, I love this mascara to bits that I am now running low so saving it for special occasions.

And that is the whole look finished! I wanted something super simple, easy and yet striking. I love the purple on the eyes and the red lips it works really well with my dress.

Hope you enjoyed!

Bare Minerals Stoke of Light Eye Brightener Review

Bare Minerals Stoke of Light Eye Brightener
Bare Minerals Stoke of Light Eye Brightener
Bare Minerals Stoke of Light Eye Brightener

This is a eye brighter, not technically a concealer but I'll be calling it that anyway! Upon first use I noticed straight away that this is not a product that I could use on it's own to brighten up my under eye area, I have to use a heavy duty concealer underneath (L.A Girls Pro Concealer) and then dot this at the bottom of my circles and blend. The consistency of it is very thin yet has a creamy and blendable formula - match made in heaven. It is very sheer and that's why it is a brighter only not a cover up. Leaves a fresh and awake glow to your eyes!

Now lets talk about the applicator. It is a dofer which is typical for a concealer, however it is ever so thin. I've interested a picture of the side so that you can see what I mean, I find it bizarre that it can be so thin but this helps to apply it under the eye as it can get right up near the tear duct. It is also a very flexible brush that helps with the application.

One thing I have learnt that this does not double up as a highlighter or concealer, it is best for the under eye only. Overall, I give this concealer a 4/5!

3 Years On - Am I Doing it Right?

blogging
CREDIT

This is a very impromptu post as it dawned on me today (friday) that the 8th November is a special day! Its 3 years since I started Class and Glitter! What?! Its crazy to think that from starting something where I wanted to just share my thoughts has now become a big part of my life. I love blogging and everyday I think of something new and exciting to do based on it.

The amount of crazy opportunities it has given me is insane and this next month and December is even crazier and you will find out very soon why. Writing this post I am thinking to myself, what have I done right that has enabled me to carry on for three years? Why do people read what I write? Why do brands want to work with me? I don't think I am doing it all right, but do you know what WHO CARES!

I just want to thank you all from the bottom of my lipstick filled heart for taking the time to read, follow, comment and interact here on the blog or even over on any of my social media channels. I have met some amazing people through the world of blogging and feel thankful that I get to do so many exciting things!

I feel I also need to thank Royal Mail, for putting up with all these years and delivering all the parcels! To celebrate I am running a giveaway over on twitter, which you can find here - be sure to enter its international and ends in a months time right near christmas!

What's On My Bathroom Shelf?

What's On My Bathroom Shelf
What's On My Bathroom Shelf
What's On My Bathroom Shelf

I really want to do a university room tour but am not 100% happy with it yet as it is brand new and I am still figuring where I want things to be. But the space that I am happy with is my bathroom, its a simple wet room but just above the sink is a shelf full of my beauty goodies.

The Essentials
One the left hand side we have the items that everyone has in their bathroom. Deodorant something I am very fussy about, it has to work and it has to smell nice too and Dove never disappoint. Fun fact i came to university with 3 bottles so that I am prepared. Toothpaste and a toothbrush for cleaning my teeth of course, aquafresh is the best toothpaste out there for an everyday basis in my opinion. The last essential I have kept in my bathroom is a body mist, these act as a air fresher for me as well as the spray that I apply after drying myself off in a bid to keep me smelling nice all day. I apply body butter outside of the shower hence why it isn't shown here.

Skincare
The neat freak inside of me has decided to keep everything in the order that I use it and the process starts with the Garnier Micellar Water to remove all my make-up with the tiniest cotton pads in history, The I apply something I picked up in Dubai but is also available on Ebay it's the Baja No Marks cream, this is meant to help with the reduction of marks left after acne and even out the colour. I use it every night after cleansing and it really calms my skin down and helps with the marks. On alternate nights I use the Skin Therapy Oil from Palmers which restores the moisture back into my skin and smells amazing. In the red pot are my retainers, which look right at me so I know that I have to wear them. Lastly, is spot treatments. Both are completely different as I use them at different times of the spot procedure. Sudocrem works best on my skin when a spot is out, red and sometimes painful - it dries it out and assures me that I won't be concious about it all day. Then there is Panoxyl which is a lot stronger and great to get those under the skin spots and anything that is creeping up, but not quite there yet. Together these create a recipe for disaster so I don't apply them all at once otherwise my skin would be on fire.

There's what is on my self, very simple but all things that I need either in the morning or the night. Having them in one place and at reach is great when you are half asleep on a night. What's on your 'bathroom shelf'?

Accidental Makeup Revolution Haul

Makeup Revolution Haul

I went on the Makeup Revolution website and next thing I know a few products were added into my basket and then an email came to me saying' Thank you for placing your order'. I have been eyeing up some things from them quite a lot recently, mainly after their new lines were added so I went for it! And know my local superdrug back home stocks MR! More for me...

£14,99
This was the first thing to go into my basket. MR have recently launched a new range of makeup brushes and I have just splurged on some others so had to keep this spend short and sweet. I went with this set as for the price I thought it was amazing. The brushes are tiny compared to my others so I am hoping they work well. And it came with a sponge, and my real techniques one is coming to an end :(
(I bought it separately, but now it is part of a set)
This reminds me of the beauty blender and I am wanting to get one to do a comparison for you all and see what is it like. Its a lovely little sponge and I can't wait to use it. Will report back as soon as!
New-trals vs Neutrals Palette
£6.99
How beautiful is this palette!!!! As soon as it arrived it just screamed autumn to me and I can't wait to get out of my comfort zone a little bit and use the daring shades. The top row is what I am most excited to use.
Pro Fix Oil Control Fixing Spray
£5.00
The most exciting purchase of them all, I have to say and one that I can already give my opinion on. I love the idea of setting sprays, they seem to make other peoples makeup last very long and I always wonder if it would do the same for my makeup but which one to get is the question. When I saw this retailing for just £5 I just had to get it. Boy am I glad I did. This spray has kept so much of my makeup in place, controls oil in my tzone and you can't feel it! I have a full review coming up very soon!

Have you tried anything from MR recently?!

Home Away From Home

Since moving out to university, I have realised that having my own little space can sometimes get a bit boring. At home you have everything you need and for me I was in the same bedroom for years so everything had its own place. Whereas now I have two rooms that I live between and struggle to decided what to have where. I want to do a full university room tour one day but the problem is that most of it is boring! So in today's post I am sharing with you some little things I do to make my room feel like home.
university-room-tour

I absolutely love my hot drinks, whether this be coffee, hot chocolate or even a good old cup of tea. On my top shelf I keep a stash of emergency hot beverages. In the Tea container I have tea bags, hot chocolate sachets and my new favourite thing mint mocha (its so good!). Then I have a sugar canister which hardly gets touched but I just have to have it. Both the containers are from Quality Save and I adore them. The print is very vintage and gorgeous.

university-room-tour

university-room-tour
Also on the top shelf I have a few things close to my heart. One of them been a Cinderella snow globe, she is my favourite princess out of all of them and I love just having her in my room with me. Then I have this little plaque with a motivational quote on, it gives me something to smile at every time I see it. Finally, I have the only photo in my entire room. I really need to get some more printed off, but this is of my family and who doesn't love a good old selfie. Plus the frame is glittery and I love anything glitter. On the notice board above my desk I have a few printed out quotes. I think having little saying that are motivational/inspirational are a great pick me up. Find them on pinterest and print them out, no need to buy any fancy ones.
These little quotes are what really makes my room feel more welcoming, they are all bright and in your face. When you start looking for universities to go, it is always important to look at the Student Accommodation that is available. You want to have something that is cosy and manageable, where I am everything is on campus, which makes my life easier and the halls aren't that bad. It isn't always this easy so then why not live off campus? When I was looking at Northumbria University I didn't like the halls and started looking for off campus spaces. Letslivehere offer some great accommodation in the Newcastle area, so well worth considering living out of the university complex.

university-room-tour
My favourite part of my entire room has to be the little make-up station thing I have going on. I have a pinterest print stuck on the wall and then a mini acrylic organiser. As you can see it is heaving with things and that is because of my lip product addiction - there just isn't enough room to put them all somewhere. Then I have a Ikea plant pot that stores all my brushes in, the white fits with the whole room and completes it.

There's a little sneak peek at my room! There are so many things I still want to do with it, add some fairy lights above my bed, print out more photos and de clutter. Currently I have lots of things everywhere and it really needs sorting out!

Welcome to my Home Away From Home!

What I've Been Loving - Bourjois Instant Dry Nail Drops

Bourjois Instant Dry Nail Drops

Bourjois Instant Dry Nail Drops

The Bourjois Instant Dry Nail Drops do exactly what it says on the tin to put it across simply. The nail drops are designed to be used after you have applied your polish and your top coat to speed up the nail drying process.

You use the pipette to apply the tiniest amount of this best described as 'oil' to your nails. Best applied to the center of your nails and then it spreads out to cover the whole thing. You then leave it for around a minute and then voila your nails are dry. I find that rubbing the 'oil' in works the best and nourishes your cuticles at the same time.

This is just one of the many things from Bourjois that makes painting nails fun and exciting! If you have no patience to wait for your nails to dry then try these nail drops and you will wish you'd discovered them earlier!

Ferrero Rocher Cupcakes with Nutella Frosting

I sometimes have this urge to bake, it can come at the most random times and when it does I love it! This time around I had the feeling that I wanted to make something sweet and chocolaty so I decided to make these super easy Ferrero Rocher Cupcakes with Nutella Frosting! I wasn't planing on writing a post on them but due to popular demand on instagram here goes! p.s I am no professional baker so use your own recipe and methods if it suits you!
Ferrero Rocher Cupcakes with Nutella Frosting

Ferrero Rocher Cupcakes with Nutella Frosting

This Recipe Makes 16 Cupcakes

Cupcakes:

188g of Self-Raising Flour
155g of Butter or Margarine
1/2 Teaspoon of Baking Soda
2 Teaspoons of Bicarb of Soda
3 Tablespoons of Cocoa Powder
150g of Caster Sugar
1 Cup of Milk
NOTE - My family don't eat eggs, making this an eggless recipe if you do eat eggs then you can adapt the recipe. Minus the milk, bicarb of soda and add 2 large eggs instead.

Frosting:

150g of butter or margarine
185g of Icing Sugar
Generous Amount of Nutella (this is all up to personal preference, I added loads!)

Decoration:

Ferrero Rocher's
Strawberries
Anything !

To Make the Cupcakes:
(Pre-Heat at 180 Degrees)
1. Sift the all the dry ingredients into one bowl and set aside, in another mixing bowl you want to start creaming the butter and sugar together until it makes a pomade (goes fluffy). Make sure you butter is soft before using.

2. Add in half of the dry ingredients and half of the milk and carry on mixing until thoroughly combined. You then want to add the rest of the mixture and the milk and make sure that everything is mixed well until smooth. At this point if you are following the eggless recipe then you may have to add some more milk. (Where I have put milk, is the equivalent of 1 egg)

3. Divide the batter between the cupcake cases that you own, mine are from Poundworld! Pop into the oven on the second shelf for 20 minutes. Depending on your oven they may take longer, so just check by inserting a cocktail stick and seeing if it comes out clean or not. Clean = Ready

4. Take them out to cool and start making the frosting - the tasty part! Add the butter into a mixing bowl and make it go like a pomade similar to the cupcakes, the sift in the icing sugar until its nice and fluffy. Then you add all the Nutella you want and go crazy if you want a rich colour and rich taste, and go light if you don't want it to overpower the cake. We ended up adding around 5 heaped tablespoons but I could have added more.

5. I then took a piping bag and very badly piped each cupcake, gave up in the end and used a spoon to apply the mixture. Then add your decoration and they are ready to eat!

Hope you enjoyed reading, and let me know if you make them!

October Favourites

Happy Halloweeeen! It's the end of the month so its time for some monthly favourites. I want to start out by saying THANK YOU. At the start of this month I hit 100,000 views on this little old blog - that is huge and I can't believe that so many people have clicked to come over and read what I write. Now on to the beauty, everything I mention in this post has been talked about on my blog or on instagram, I haven't really tried many things that are new due to been busy with my head in books...

L'Oreal True Match (find full review here) - Since trying out the new formula of this foundation I have been hooked and refuse to try out anything else. I am that obsessed that I already have a bottle in reserve for when I run out oops. Everything about it is just perfect, the consistency is much better than the first time around, it doesn't cling on to the dry patches and it lasts all day. I do have to powder but that's just oil that collects on my face. It works so well in the winter I hope its the same in the summer as well. p.s did you know that L'oreal posted my image of the foundation on their instagram and twitter?

Seventeen Falsifeye Mascara (full review here) - A new discover this month for me but a very good one. This mascara gives my lashes the effect of wearing false lashes but doesn't take the time or the effort. The wand has two sides and a cone so I can get every single lash n my lid, without having to find too many funny faces.

Maybelline Midnight Red - Where do I even begin with this colour, it is my new go to autumnal colour. I have reapplied it every single time I have gone to paint my toes or fingers. It lasts forever, with no chips even with all the washing up I have been doing! And the colour is one that everyone seems to like not just me!

Maybelline Divine Wine (full post here) - I once heard that having matching lips and nails was a big no no but I say yes yes. I think it looks a lot better if its all matching and what better to match my nail colour with then a berry lipstick! Divine Wine is a gorgeous colour that applies like butter to the lips and lasts all day, I am not a eye makeup wearer so this lip colour did scare me at first but with lovely bronzed skin it looks great.

Wet n Wild Cinnamon Spice - Another lipstick because who can only use one?! This is a pretty similar colour to the maybelline one but it isn't as red and more purple toned. Which does make it easier to wear as more things go with it. The formula of these aren't as creamy but just as matter and long lasting. Even though it does bleed a fair bit.

Food
I always love so much food but never have evidence to show you, the first thing I have loved this month is green tea! It was a thing that I loved a while back and then went off it and now i love it again! I drink a cup as and when I can and it gives me a boost of energy like a cup of tea would. I am also loving the Starbucks PSL, but this is a reoccurring favourite of mine and a lot of people don't like it but I like the spicy and sweet together.
Areo chocolate is another obsession of mine, mainly the mint one I could eat a large bag all by myself if I had the chance. Also, cereal bars have been a life saver. I keep one in my bag and then during the day when I get peckish they come in handy - the Alpen ones are great!

Candle
yankee candle toasted marshmallows
This is a new candle love! I can't have them at university and it is killing me every day but when I come home I am always lighting this one that I spotted in Asda. It smells good enough that you want to eat it. At first it is a bit sickly like most of their sweet ones are but afterwards it smells like gooey marshmallows on top of the fire and similar to fireside treats but slightly sweeter.

What have you been loving this month/week/day?

Halloween Preparation - Pumpkin Carving

Pumpkin Carving

Pumpkin Carving

Pumpkin Carving

Pumpkin Carving

It's Halloween Tomorrow!
I'm not a person who goes out anymore, infact I am spending tomorrow baking cupcakes - yum! But I do love decorating the outside and my university flat is currently full of spider decorations and banners. This weekend I have come home and love getting the outside of the house decorated, and one thing we don't do enough is pumpkin carving!

I jumped at the chance to get my creative juices flowing and thanks to the lovely people over at GrownWithLove I was sent a amazing pumpkin to carve out of and after spending hours on Pinterest looking for ideas. I saw an idea of adding fangs which you cut out from the mouth piece, not as easy as it looks but still do able as you can see above.

Some helpful hints for carving a scary face is to draw your design on faintly with a pen and then cut, it makes it easier to see where to cut it. Use a large spoon to scrape out the middle not your hands. Take out and use a variety of knifes and tools, carving kits are out there to buy but just use knives!

Overall, I am pretty pleased with the result of this pumpkin! My dad helped me to put this creature together and its not bad at all. Now it needs a name...any suggestions?

Are you doing any Halloween preparation today?!

*This delightful pumpkin was sent to me, but all the carving and sweat was my own*

Naked Noodle Review

Naked Noodle Review

Living at university is great, but one thing I struggle with has to be food. I like cooking everything fresh, so much so that I don't own a space in the freezer as I don't need it. It does get hard at times because the option of having a takeaway is always there - mainly Domino's. Who can resist when its 50% off? If it isn't pizza then it's Chinese which is just as worse.
But its all ok because Naked Noodle exists - a brand that has created different flavored noodles that are healthy, tasty and inexpensive! I got the chance to review their Snack Pots and Stir Fry Range and after basically eating nothing but noodles for the past week I am slightly in love and ready to report back. As far as packaging goes it definitely entices you the images of the noodles look tempting and the coloured lids match the rest of the packaging.

The snack pots are great for a quick lunch especially if you have like 15 minutes and need to hurry, there are 8 flavours in the range and I have highlighted the ones I have tried in bold - Thai Sweet Chilli, Cantonese Hoisin Duck, Malaysian Laksa, Thai Tom Yum, Vietnamese Beef Pho, Japanese Teriyaki, Singapore Curry & Chinese Chow Mein.
One thing I love about all of the Naked Noodle range is that it is all suitable for vegetarians (full list of ingredients here)! This sold me straight away. They are also really easy to make, boil the kettle, pour the water up to the fill line, leave for 4 minutes, stir & enjoy! As it sits to rest the smell of the pot fills the room.
Singapore Curry -  This pot is by far the most flavour filled one. As soon as you eat a spoonful you are hit with lots of different spices. The main ones been ginger and garlic and then something else came through to me after wards and that was a hint of chilli - it was odd because the three main ingredients are so simple yet powerful and delicious.

Thai Tom Yum - This was a weird one for me to try, as I''m not the biggest fan of Thai food, however these noodles taste like sweet and sour that you order from the takeaway. It's chilli yet has a tomato base and the mix is amazing. Then a hint of sourness comes through from the lime which put me off at first but I gave it a stir and it was all good. This has a good kick to it though so be warned if yo try it and aren't a fan of spicy because wow this got me at first.

Thai Sweet Chilli - This one is my favourite of the three I tried. I am still dreaming about it now after eating it, it is good food in a pot. It has a slight kick of chilli in it and mixed with a tangy taste it is delicious. If you have ever tried any form of a sweet chilli sauce or crisps then you will love this its warming to mouth and perfect on a cold day.

Then we have the food that looks and tastes absolutely delicious! These are just 1% fat and around 200 calories per pack - great for those of us on a restricted diet. The stir fry packs can be eaten on their own similar to the snack pots or as a side dish - I added some mushrooms to mine (favourite vegetable) and it was even nicer! I forgot to take pictures of my amazing meals for these, but have purchased some more so will take a picture and add it in as soon as I have had them - promise.
They come in a range of flavours - Teriyaki, Singapore, Sweet Chilli Chicken, Chow Mein & Hoi Sin. Of the two I tried Teriyaki was my favourite added with mushrooms and some other random veg it was amazing and managed to fill me up - which noodles don't usually do!

I highly recommend trying Naked Noodle if you get a chance university student or not they are amazing, cost next to nothing and well deserve love! You can find them at all major supermarkets at £1.20 for a the stir fry and £1.71 for the snack pots!

India Fashion Week London

India Fashion Week London
Source
When Fashion Week happens around the world I love seeing what things are on the catwalk and coming into trend next season. This year I heard about the India Fashion Week that was taking place in London and was all ready to go until some unforeseen circumstances happened and I had to cancel - but next year I shall go! Even though I wasn't there physically, I kept up with images and updates from the event and gazed at all the gorgeous outfits. Here is some more information about the star studded event and what went down...(via a press release from IFWL)

A late Indian summer crept into London this October 2015 with the launch of the first ever India Fashion Week London and a celebration of South Asian fashion with the 10 year anniversary of The National Asian Wedding Show at the ExCel London. The inaugural fashion week was opened by DJ Neev Spencer and Presenter Sonali Shah, both ambassadors of the British Asian Trust who came to show their enthusiasm for the growth of Asian fashion in the UK market. United in their appreciation of South Asian fashion, Spencer and Shah featured on the catwalk alongside former Miss India and Bollywood beauty Ms Neha Dhupia. Ms Dhupia rocked the IFWLondon catwalk in a Payal Singhal black cropped poncho, the border of which was lined with detailed gold work, and a nude pink lehenga skirt.
Ms Dhupia, who helped curate the event, said “my favourite moment was of course walking down the ramp in London for the first time as a showstopper and secondly cutting this really big cake – it was like five levels!” Without a doubt the National Asian Wedding Show spared no expense as it celebrated its 10 year anniversary with Ms Dhupia and STAR TV actress Pooja Gaur; its catwalk was litten up with an array of stunning bridal couture designs and fireworks displays that electrified a packed Sunday audience.
When asked about her views on South Asian fashion in India compared to the UK market, Ms Dhupia said “I feel like it has a lot of room to grow and fashion in India is way ahead. But the most important thing is it’s got a great audience filled with beautiful people who are very aware and fashion conscious. So it’s a work in progress and that’s where you have the National Asian Wedding show and of course India Fashion Week which can help to change everything”.
A sentiment echoed by the show’s organiser Manny Singh, Managing Director of the Platinum Group, who set out to revolutionise the South Asian fashion market in the UK by providing a platform for NEWGEN and British Asian designers through the inception of India Fashion Week London, “For the last decade the Indian fashion industry has moved from the embryonic stage to a globally respected powerhouse. Indian and British Asian fashion designers have contributed immensely to the spread of fashion as a driving force, both among Indian consumers and select segments of Western markets. Our market can now boast dozens of leading fashion designers, who can match any European fashion designer in their concepts, styles and designs.” said Mr Singh.
“Historically Eastern fashion has played second fiddle to a British Asian audience who have been heavily influenced by the west, but with the growth of western brands in India and mainstream British retailers introducing eastern tones and styles in their collections, we’ve discovered a host of designers who understand their collections need to be designed for a western mainstream audience. Gone are the days where an outfit can only be worn for one occasion, designers are producing outfits that can be mixed and matched with other garments and have the longeivity in a more mainstream wardrobe. India Fashion Week London and The National Asian Wedding Show brings these designs to the forefront under one roof and will educate the UK consumer about fresh, couture and fusion designs, whether they are Asian or not.”
In line with Singh’s objectives, IFWLondon and The National Asian Wedding Show played host to noted fashion designers Raishma Islam, Anjulee&Arjun Kapoor, Saloni Ruia, Ridhi Mehra as well as collections featured by Payal Singhal, Satya Paul, Neeta Lulla, Mansi Malhotra, Pavan&Pranav, Shyamal&Bhumika, Shantanu&Nikhil and Anushree Reddy. Many of whom were clearly inspired by British fashion throughout the ages, such as Raishma Islam’s Edwardian style jackets and Kaya Rajan’s use of bold coloured embroidered and lace braces.
Along with the multitude of fusion designers, the catwalks were home to international performing artist Bambi Bains, England Women’s Cricketer Isa Guha, former Desi Rascal Arshina Trivedi, and British singer Navin Kundra who delighted audiences as he delivered his own special fusion mix of John Legend’s “All of Me” in both English and Hindi.
Fashion enthusiast celebrities were out in full force both representing The British Asian Trust and to see the latest designs from these NEWGEN, British and Asian designers alike. In a crowd littered with familiar faces front rowers included Sky Desi Rascals reality TV stars Jo Shah, Moses Baig, Kavita Sodha and Schmoyel Zia Siddiqui, Indian television actor and host Karan Tacker, actress Amber Rose Revah, Miss London Supranational and model Katerina Christo, actress and model Sara Archer, model and fashion influencer Diipa Khosla, Zayn Malik’s sisters Doniya and Waliyha Malik, and Olympic medallist boxer Amir Khan’s sister and fashion influencer Mariyah Khan.

I am a huge fan of Neha Dhupia and it has just been announced that she is the leading lady for the 2016 show! She was a previous winner of Miss India and has been in some Bollywood films one of which is Dus and that is one of my all time favourites! I love that Indian designers are been recognized by the world for their amazing work, outfits like the ones below are stunning and deserve to be showcased in a grand event. In the picture below of all the models I am slightly obsessed with the outfit on the far left (pink and gold) I am slightly obsessed with the design and it looks like a wonderful bridal outfit!

My Personal Planner

Personal Planner
I am now a part of the amazing and crazy planner community. Yes it is a thing. For the past few months I have browsing Etsy and looking at all the amazing stickers you can buy for a planner but I didn't have a planner I was happy with. Something that was perfect for life, blogging and university. Until I came across Personal-Planner. And the next thing I know I made a purchase, created my own planner and constantly updated twitter about it coming to me (follow me @pariejoshi). I thought of giving you a little tour...
Personal Planner
Personal-Planner let you personalise everything and anything so that the planner that you will be using is perfect for you. It starts with choosing the size, I went with A5 but there are other sizes as well, and I think they have a A4 coming too. Then you get to design you front cover, there are lots of patterns and designs you can pick from but I went with my own a lovely quote in gold and polka dot. The other cool thing is the Owner Cover page you get to create, this can include all your personal details but I went with a another quote and my favourite girly emojis.
Personal Planner
Now, on to the actual planner. another one of the amazing personalisation features of this planner is the colour scheme preference. The gilr inside of me went with pink of course, a little worried after I had picked it but no regrets now I love it! The muted grey is the other colour I picked and it works really well together. You can go as far as picking the design you want on the top of the apge, mine are cute little flowers but options include birds and stripes. Each month starts off with a monthly view, allowing you to put in the most important dates. You also choose the month you want to start with, I went with October and it will finish next October.

Then we have the weekly view, there are also options on how you want your week to look like. I went with Vertical Ruled (top and bottom) to kind of resemble other planners I have seen. But if this isn't how you work then horizontal views are also available. You can see the muted grey colour here better than before and see that it works together. The main reason I went vertical is so that I can use lots of cute stickers! This week is Halloween themed, not very full or busy like others but cute! This was a printable from VintageGlamStudio, who I found of instagram and helped me with this whole planner thing. Stickers sound childish, but they make the planning process more exciting and fun!

After picking your layout you can choose the items you want on there, you can add personal dates such as birthdays ect so you never forget and also little add ons. I went with To-Do boxes on the left page and a weekly meal planner on the other to help me budget for the week. The other options available are workout schedules and weather. Adding a ruler to come with your planner is another option.

Personal PlannerTo make each month easier to find it is colour coded on the edge, and an overview of the next two years can be added to the back of the planner which can help you plan for the year ahead if you have important things to remember. On the back few pages you can choose from lined, square and the newly added colouring pages. I went with lined so that if I need to write something down then then is the best place.
That concludes the planner tour! I have ordered a load of stickers (way more than my bank account can cope with) and will be putting them in a haul very soon. I want to theme everything so November is going to have a colour and then December is going to be all festive! Everything I order will also be from UK sellers so you know what to order and where from. Do you like these types of posts? Planning Addicts Unite!
