Christmas TAG 2015

Christmas TAG 2015

I'm officially all festive in my head, bedroom and wardrobe so I though that it was about time to get a TAG up on this blog and share the Christmas love!  Are we Ready?

1. Your Favourite Christmas/Festive Film/s?
I have many films that I love watching at this time of year these include Elf, Christmas with the Kranks, Deck the Halls and my favourite film ever has to be The Holiday. Not because I fancy Jude Law but because the entire film is just so cute.
2. Your Favourite Christmas Song?
I love any song that Michael Buble sings from his Christmas Album, his cover of 'It's Beginning to look a lot like Christmas' is my all time favourite. And I am also not ashamed to say that Justin Bieber's 'Mistletoe' is a good one too!

3. What clothes do you wear on Christmas Day?
Since I was little I have always wanted to stay in my pj's all day, but my parents seem to like us after having a shower and in proper clothing. For me it is usually a Christmas jumper - cheesier the better.
4. Real or Fake Tree?
Fake - It's just easier to manage and this years one is a new fake one that I am pretty excited about.
5. What is the top of your list this year?
I don't have much of a list this year, I find that as I have gotten older it seems to get harder. But I am wanting vouchers so that it gives me options to buy different things and also lots of stationery!
6. If you could spend Christmas abroad, where would it be?
I would love to spend Christmas in New York! I have been browsing Pinterest a lot recently and the city keeps coming up all decorative and it looks absolutely stunning.

7. How is your present wrapping?
My present wrapping is amazing, and I take every pride into what the wrapping looks like even though it takes two seconds to rip open. But I do ribbons, bows, glitter - the works.
8.  Favourite part of Christmas Dinner?
Been a vegetarian I don't eat meat but I love the all the vegetables that I eat with our veggie dinner and Brussel Sprouts have to be my favourite ooh or honey glazed carrots!
9. What is your favourite festive drink (hot or cold)?
This can be absolutely anything, hot drink wise I am loving Starbucks Toffee Nut Latte and Costa's Caramel Fudge Hot Chocolate. Cold drink wise Shloer and J20 are a festive must have.
10. Favourite Christmas Memory?
I have several memories of Christmas, the best ones are spending time with family. We spent one Christmas in Goa and it was glorious!

I TAG ALL OF YOU READING THIS! Please take part in the tag and get in the festive cheer! Here are the questions -

Primark Homeware Haul

Primark Homeware Haul
Primark Homeware Haul

Next week it's the big day - the move up north to University! I am very exited, stressed and worried at the same time but I guess that it normal. The one thing that is really getting me excited is my room, I want to make it as homely as possible and for it to be like a home away from home - and what better way than to buy lots of bits from Primark.

This haul doesn't feature anything that is pretty but everything is matching. I have gone for a colour scheme of a muted/dusky pink that isn't so in your face, but also very neutral making it easier for me to use the same things all year round.

The first bits I picked up were bedding sets, and that it what set off the entire theme. The duvet set is grey with butterflies all over it, and with it I got sheets and a pillow case. I also picked up a bath math from Primark, following in the same colour theme. The towel and face towels are super soft and can't wait to use them for the first time. The two things that I am the most excited about are the hanger, a) because they match everything and b) because they are non-slip which are amazing as your clothes actually stay on the hangers. Then we have the laundry hamper which has the prettiest pattern on and a bargain of £3.

There are a lot more things I am getting, all will be shown in the upcoming weeks!

August Favourites

August Favourites
It's August Favorites time!

Garnier Micellar Wipes
I love the water and thought about trying the wipes for some time, when I picked them up before I went on holiday I didn't have high hopes but they are amazing. Unlike other face wipes they thoroughly clean your makeup and leave your skin feeling nourished at the same time.

E45 Overnight Hand Cream
Anyone else suffer from ugly cuticles? Raise your hand!! Mine are disgusting and nothing seems to be curing them nail product wise then a week ago or so I tried this overnight hand cream at night of course and my life changed. The next morning not only did my hands feel super soft but also my nails were improving. Miracle hand cream!

Rimmel Wild-er-ness
My current go to mani and pedi colour is Wild-er-ness by Rimmel, its the perfect lilac colour that doesn't look awful against my skin colour and it reminds me of summer even if the weather outside is awful.

Bourjois Aqua Blush in Pink Twice
Where do I even start with this blush? The best cream blush I have ever tried (well the only one) it applies so well and after a few seconds it sets onto my skin and is ready for the day ahead. It is much easier to apply this with my fingers, but I think I need a stippling brush to get a more even application and this might stop it from going everywhere.

Ghost Whisper Perfume
This perfume is one that I got gifted back at Christmas time, and have only just opened it to see what it is like. It is very musky with a hint of mandarin in the background that makes it wearable and it lasts on me for a long time too.

Random

Song - Rachel Platten 'fight song'

I heard this song just the other week and by accident in fact and every since I am hooked! The song is really deep and the meaning behind it is about struggle and you can really feel it.

TV - Melissa & Joey

I have previously talked about my love of this programme on here and probably in a favourites post, the last ever season just finished airing in the UK and it was an emotional one but turned out perfect in the end for the whole family.

What have you been loving this month?

Summer Nails 2015

Summer Nails 2015

Summer Nails 2015

Summer is here and the best thing for me about the change in season is the change in my nail colours. I put away the deep berries and bring out the bright ones, in today's post I am going to give you the low down on my top 5 favourite picks for this year!

Rimmel Wild-er-Ness (£2.99)
Wild-er-Ness from Rimmel is a stunning lavender purple and I adore anything that is purple. This is a colour in-between a pastel and a bright, because it is very subtle. You need two even coats to get the colour in the bottle, since Rimmel have re-branded all their polishes there has been an improvement in the formula. It isn't as thick and the brush doesn't split when you use it.
Essie Resort Fling (£7.99)
I have previously talked about this colour on here already so this will be short and sweet. Out of all the colours mentioned in this post, Resort Fling is by far my favourite. It is a lovely orangey coral colour but isn't blinding that it looks ugly on your fingers. Everything looks good with this colour as well and it screams summer.
BarryM Eat My Dust (£3.99)
The Speedy range from BarryM is a pure stroke of genius and a range that lives by the name 'quick drying'. Eat my Dust is the best colour from the range in my opinion because of its uniqueness. it is a powdery, cornflower blue that has a grey undertone making it flattering to my darker skin tone. It is also a great 'toe nail colour' for the summer.
Maybelline Red Hot Getaway (£4.49)
This is the newest polish in my collection, I picked it up the other week after seeing the words NEW next to it in Superdrug. I haven't red much about this new shade from the range but let me tell you, it is amazing. It can be best described as a muted pink coral and looks perfect with a tan! It is currently on my toes and fingers because I am in love with it that much. These also do actually last for 7 days like it says - highly recommend buying them.
Nails Inc Uptown (£15.00)
Nails Inc have got the gel effect look for half the price thing nailed down. The shade Uptown isn't as bright as the rest of my picks but sometimes a nice nude nail polish is just what you need during the summer months.

These are my top 5 five, what are yours?

The GLAMOUR Summer Edit 2015

Once every so often I get an email from Latest In Beauty about one of their amazing collaborations with GLAMOUR Magazine. Usually, I stop my self but this time it was the summer version and I just couldn't help myself.

The cute watermelon designed box retails at £17.99 (not including p+p) and the value of the products inside add up to a grand total of  over £90, which is just insane. The main influence for me getting this box was that it contains some gems for travelling and for the summer time! Let's see what is inside....

This is a self tanner/bronzer for your face, it is meant to give you a gradual and natural tan without been harmful. Not much of a tanner but think that it is great for after you have been in the sun and want to keep that gorgeous glow!
I can't go one empties video on you tube without this been mentioned and raved about. Pixi Glow Tonic is meant to be a toner that is suitable for all skin types as it contains nothing harmful. It consists of a blend of Aloe and Ginseng which is really strong but that doesn't affect you skin, hopefully it works!
Nails Inc Gel Effect £15 in Uptown
One of the things that persuaded me to get this box, as the price of one Nail Inc Polish is the whole box nearly! There is a selection of three colour's available and in my box I got given 'Uptown' which is a stunning nude/pink that I will be painting my nails with this evening.
These look and sound like ordinary products, but they contain 5 essentail oils that are meant to give your a hair gloss, soften it and nourish it at the same time as well as relaxing you.
A multi-purpose miracle oil that can be used in your hair, your nails, in the bath and on your face. It is also meant to be good at giving you a nice summer glow and I am not lying when I say it smells amazing.
This lip crayon is the other thing that caught my eye in the email, the amount of times people have told me to try one of the these crayons is unbelievable! Again, like the nail polish there are three colours available in the box, my box came with Peach On The Beach - a cult beauty favourite.
SPF of any kind is a staple during the summer and one of the things I haven't get got for my holiday so thank you LIB. This SPF is suitable for sensitive skin types and can be applied all over the face and then it dries matte instead of oily and sticky like many others.
I own a few things from Balance Me and I love everything the brand produces! Excited to try this body polish and see whether it does firm and tighten at the same time as cleansing.
I am loving temporary tattoos at the moment, I got some from Primark but they aren't that good, this brand however is one that I have seen on social media and can't wait to apply them! All the designs are small and delicate so they don't look like the tattoos you used to wear when you were 5.

I adore this box because everything that it contains I don't own or have ever tried out, expect some individual reviews of the things soon!

You can buy the box for yourself over on the LIB website HERE

New Year's Resolutions for 2015 ♥

New Year's Resolutions for 2015

Tonight when the clock strikes 12, we will be in to the first few seconds of 2015! A brand spanking new year, and I actually cannot believe it. Its very cliché but I can't get over the fact that this year has gone so quickly and this new one will be even more amazing I am sure. In this year I leave sixth form, go to university, and turn 18? What, pinch my self every time! I wrote a set of resolutions last year which you can read HERE  and I thought I would write some more this year for my blog and maybe even personal and then in sixth months have a reflection on them. I have pretty much achieved the ones I set last year and now for this year...
