I've had, what can only be described as the craziest two weeks. It was coming to the end of half term and I was preparing myself for a week of nothing but meeting up with friends and having some 'me time' after a crazy first time back. Then the day before we were due to break up for half term, my bubble had to close and me and my class had to go into isolation for two weeks. I've never been so panicked in my life. It was horrible seeing their little faces all upset because we weren't able to do our end of term celebrations. Its been a two week isolation full of lots of thoughts, events and the pending lockdown put a lot of things into the mix too. I am determined to be as confident as I can through all of this though!
I've spent my days living in nothing but comfy loungewear. Who thought that 2020 would be the year that its acceptable to wear the same things inside and outside? My go to set is this teddy bear two piece from katch me*. This co-ord is pink, fluffy and super comfy. The trousers are high waist and the top is cropped but on a tall gal like me it sits just above the trousers. I have really sensitive skin and the lining inside doesn't irritate or rub against my skin. Its been the only thing that I have been living in. In fact, I'm wearing it right now, with a cup of tea at the side of me - I love this time of year.
Since going into isolation, I've had to teach online. Its been amazing and stressful at the same time. I saw a tweet the other day that called teachers lazy and it really grinded my teeth. Since we went into lockdown in March, workload for all teachers has doubled if not tripled. Over the first lockdown, I had to set work on top of reports, assessment and so much more. Then September came around and I loved being back in the classroom but there is so much more to it now. It is a law to set work online for children who aren't in. This means, we have to teach as normal day to day and create work for children to access whilst at home. I don't want to sound like I'm moaning, because I love love love my job but teachers are not lazy, far from it.
The time at home has been amazing though, its been a chance to catch up with things in the house. Rearrange my room which has meant I can take more outfit pictures like these! With everything closing on Thursday we wanted to do one trip out for a meal as a family. My isolation period ended yesterday so we popped out to Wagamama's - it was delicious! I went with a super simple outfit but loved how it looked. I paired these leather high waisted leggings* with a white bodysuit and the most comfiest long knitted cardigan*. Paired with some ankle boots and this might just be my favourite outfit ever. It so simple but I feel like an instagram model! Leather pants are something that have been a staple in my wardrobe for a while, they are amazing to wear at this time of year with jumpers, fur coats and cardigans. Cardigans like this grey one are my favourite thing at the moment, they look great for work and in the evening.
I'm finishing this post off at my school computer, wearing this exact cardigan and it feels amazing to be back in my actual workplace as opposed to my bedroom. I'm in such a lucky position to still have a job and I am so thankful. Tomorrow's lockdown brings so many questions, uncertainty's and problems. If you need someone talk to about anything, please note I am here if you ever need anything - instagram, twitter email - anything. Sorry for my rambles, hope you're all well!
