Powder. Some hate it, some love it - my oily skin needs it. For years I have been a royal lover of Rimmel Stay Matte. I first discovered it in the late years of high school (over 6 years ago) and have not switched to anything else. It works well with every single foundation that I have ever owned but last year, it was time to venture out and I ended up finding 3 additions that have blown me away and they're all under £10!
The first powder I ever fell in love with, its still one that I keep in my stash for when my skin needs some serious control. Stay Matte is just the perfect powder and one that I loved for many years. It doesn't matter what foundation I wear, this powder keeps everything in place and makes sure it does not budge. It doesn't make the face look cakey nor does it feel heavy.
COTY Airspun Loose Face Powder £11.35
I saw this powder talked about a lot on YouTube and when I spotted it on Amazon, I just couldn't resist. This is one of those powders that is the best for 'baking'. A trend that I never really tried until I got this powder. I love setting my under eyes and my tzone area with this, when I want to keep everything in place and avoid creasing. It has a very funny smell - something I can't describe - but it goes as soon as you apply. It really is a great powder to start off with this whole baking technique, I love the flawless and crease free finish it gives to my makeup look.
Maybelline Fit Me Pressed £5.99
This is a pocket friendly powder that I love keeping in my handbag. It has the powder on one side and then you flip it up to reveal a sponge and mirror. Its a nice powder for the face but not one that I would reach for on a daily basis. I use it for more of a top up or when my face needs to be fixed. For example, the other day it was pouring down with rain and some of my makeup was messed up. I took some of this powder and touched up in those areas and it looked as good as new.
Maybelline Fit Me Loose
Now, this is the dreamiest powder ever. I got mine in Hawaii (actually I bought 4 to keep me going!) and have not looked back since. It is the best powder, finely milled, lightweight and the perfect shade for me all year round. Its just the best and I don't understand why Maybelline won't bring it over here! Its a powder that I can apply in the morning and not worry about it going cakey or looking horrific on the skin.
These powders are fabulous for anyone with oily skin and well worth having a look into!
