When I started out blogging, L'Oreal were one brand that I used to buy everything from. At that time, they were the talk of the town - everyone loved everything from them and this was before other brands started to make more of an appearance in the beauty world. The True Match foundation was my favourite along with their lipsticks from the different ambassadors, powder and of course nail polish. Then I stopped buying anything from them for awhile, the only thing I have used recently is the Pro Matte Foundation but even that was every now and then.
Then, out of nowhere I had this urge to try their new launches. One being the More Than Concealer which was making its rounds on You Tube and the other is the Fresh Wear Foundation, which is a relaunch/reformulated version of their original Infallible foundation (post here) which I also loved. My Thoughts
The price is decent, L'Oreal is one of the brands that is more expensive than others on the high street. There is 28g of product in side which is amazing and the packaging is gorgeous. A tube, with a large applicator, similar to the Tarte Shape Tape and a monochrome designed tube. I love that there is such a wide range of shades, as someone with medium skin, concealer is hard to find! Its all about finding that match between too light and too dark, with the correct undertone too. But I find that this range gives you a really wide choice, lots to choose from.
I went with a shade that would be perfect for using under my eyes to brighten or to use as a highlight concealer anywhere else on the face. This is a thick concealer, like wowza - I start with a little bit and build up otherwise there is too much product to have to work with. I love how this brightens the under eye area, just a tiny amount too! My dark circles are gone, the area looks brightened and my eyes look much more awake. The quibble I have however is that it creases. Badly. Well on me it does, no matter what powder or primer I use underneath it just looks a mess after a couple of hours. I should also mention, that my under eye area isn't one that creases very easily. When I use the Maybelline Eraser Eye it looks wonderful for the whole day. With this my eye area looks all cracked and disgusting. Which is such a shame because the formula, shade and finish is out of this world but the lasting power is just not there.
I haven't put this in the fails pile yet, as I am determined to make it work. I will find a way!

My Thoughts
Love at first application. Oh my goodness, I do not have anything bad to say about this foundation, not ONE. Let's start with the product itself, this is a very watery foundation. So thin that I find it best to apply one section of my face at a time and then blend, rather than doing it all together. I'm shade 220, which is a perfect match, for my medium, yellow undertoned skin. After just one layer, any redness, blemishes, scarring is covered. One layer is enough for a quick natural makeup look. Then you go in with the second and the skin just looks flawless. It doesn't even feel like foundation is on my skin, not one that has such a high coverage. My skin just looks pretty, a foundation makes me look nice?! Impossible right.
I find there is no need for concealer because everything has just been covered perfectly, a little Maybelline Fit Me Powder to set my oil slick of a face into place and that is my foundation routine done. It lasts from 6am to 6pm without any cracking, creasing or crumbling. There's no oil produced, and my face still looks gorgeous after hours upon hours wear. I am just in love..this is an unedited picture of the foundation after 6 hours wear - just perfect.
