There have been so many hauls on my blog recently, I thought it was about time we actually taked about some products that I've mentioned. These are 5 products that I have been trying on and off, all new and products that I have wanted to try in forever.
Hourglass Veil Primer
Hourglass is one brand that I really want to try more of this year, they have the prettiest products and the newest palette looks perfect for darker skin tones like mine. This primer is one that Nikkia Joy on Youtube is constantly raving about, she swears by it for oily skin. It is a lot thicker than other primers I have used before and the white colour scared me at first but it didn't leave a cast on the skin. I tried it by applying it all over the face and just in the tzone as well as under different foundations. Under every foundation it works really well, it keeps my makeup in place and doesn't slip off. I think this small bottle might not be enough for me...
It Cosmetics Matte CC Cream
This isn't techniqually the first time I've used this, infact I've tried it and used it alot. Now availble on their UK site for £30, this CC Cream comes in 12 shades and promises a whole lot of goodness. The orginial one is very famous and well loved, but this appealed to me more because it offers a matte finish rather than illumated. There is also a claim that it blurs pores, absorbs oil and it contains SPF 40. I am slightly confused as to why the other ones have 50 and this is 40?
I love applying two layers of this with a sponge and then only applying concealer under the eyes because it gives me great coverage. After one layer, my hyperpigmentation, blemishes and dullness is covered with ease. A great, fast base to apply when in a rush. For everyday and going out, I go in with another layer to just give me that flawless finish. It has a very thick formula, so a little goes a very long way. The shade at the moment is a perfect match to my tan and that doesn't happen very often. It lasts me at least 6 hours before my oil starts to seep through, not like an oil slick more just a glowy oil look. I wear this to work everyday and it looks amazing and so natural. Overall, very very impressed!
Maybelline Fit Me Loose Powder
Another product that is more of a review than a first impression is this powder, finely milled and loose setting powder - works like a dream on my oily skin. I have used it with this cc cream, other foundations and with them all it works so well. Keeps me matte and I have stopped using a setting spray as well, because this is so good. I want to buy more!! SO MANY MORE. As soon as I apply this powder my skin looks so much more filtered and not full of texture.
I feel so lucky when new launches are sent to me and these liners from eyelash super brand Esqido are no disappointment. They have created a liner that gives the effects of a gel, but comes in a pencil format to make applying easier. The swatches below, show the shades that I own - black and brown. Both glide on to the eyes with ease, and with no dragging it makes liner application easier and this is coming from someone who hates applying it. The lid also contains a mini sharperner, which makes this great for travelling. I have been using the brown for everyday wear, to give my lids some colour but not too intense as the black does.
Jeffree Star Calabasas
Being a member of facebook selling/swap gorups is quite dangerous. Someone was selling this for under £10, brand new and I just couldn't resist. Everyone and their next door neighbour seems to love these so it was about time I tried them too. My opinion of Jeffree Star as a person has changed a lot since his open series on the web but I don't let me thoughts when buying something. This shade is literally perfect for every skin tone, on me it looks like a deep pink and I love it for the autumn time. The formula is very creamy and easy to apply, I wish the applicator was slightly smaller but thats personal preference. It lasts me all day, through food and drink but after about 7 hours it starts to bleed :( but nothing that can't be managed. I think I might be needing more...
