Don't know about you but I am still recovering from Christmas Day!! I say it every year but this year for sure, I have eaten way more than my stomach can take and have been absoutelyu spoilt rotten. So thankful for everyone around me, it makes it all so magical. Now the next occasion is of course New Years. There are some people that plan for the occasion for weeks, but little me over here is more of a last minute, get things together a few days before and well do it the lazy girl way.
HAIR
I am keeping it simple and straight, even though I adore having my hair curly its just less time consuming to straighten it. I have been loving the InStyler GLOSSIE* which is a styling brush that makes me want to keep my hair staight. It gives me super shiny and sleek hair that doesn't look flat or boring. It is very powerful and takes me no longer than 10 minutes to straighten my entire head of hair - the perfect rushing product!
SKIN
This month my skin has just got drier and drier, no matter how many oils or balms I use it is still really flaky and horrible. Not just my face but feet and hands included! One product that has made a world of a difference is the Embryolisse Lait-Créme Concentré. This is such a raved about product in the beauty world and I think it deserves all the hype. I remember reading about it on Shireen's blog a few months back and now I understand her love affair. When it comes to it, this is just a moisturiser - hydrates, nourishes and soothes the skin. But it is so hydrating yet so light, I have never used a product that feels like nothing on my skin. The addition of a mineral oil and shea butter frightened me at first as many have reacted to it but my skin is loving the cream and I can see myself using it for a very long time. I have fallen in love with everything from Embryolisse, their products are simple and fuss free!
I also keep 7th Heaven masks at hand for those days where my skin needs some extra TLC. The Charcoal Mud musks are great are bringing out those nasties on the skin and tightening my pores. They also have these nail and cuticule masks which work incredibly well as soothing the dry skin around my nails. Love them!
THE BAG
Don't bother buying a new outfit just one one night, just use what you already have and style it up. For example, I will probably be wearing all black and then styling it up certain accessories such as this stunning Rosaire Wallet, its a stunning taupe colour that will look perfect with any outfit. It has plenty of room inside for cards, money, phone and any spare makeup. Trust me, for a wallet it is huge! It is absouteley gorgeous quality, leather and so luxurious.
THE ACCESSORIES
Styling up your outfit with Watches/Jewellery, is the easiest way to look the part without putting much effort in at all. Just think, you can wear the simpliest outfit but look glamourous just by adding some small finishing touches. I am thinking silver as the theme this year to compliment the bag and simple makeup that I have planned. If you need some inpsiroation then be sure to have a look at OD's Designer Clothing, they have something for every budget. I have my eye on this Guess Constellations Watch (£159), don't think I have ever seen something so beautiful! It is simple and elegant yet the addition of the diamonte face makes it that little bit special. Crystals are a big yes for NYE, they sparkle and shine and the Guess Bracelet (£49) will do exactly that, without being too in your face it will be the perfect addition to my wrist and will look so good against all the black.
Planning on having my hair straight but having some bits tucked behind my ears to show of some gorgeous Vivienne Westwood Earrings (£97) . Everything from VW is always so beautiful and I can just imagine how nice these will look in the evening or even daytime if you are doing something on new years day. The ChloBo Dainty Night Sky Necklace (£50), matches perfectly with the rest of these accessories and the star themed I have going on will look perfect with this necklace. All these pieces are very simple but will look so pretty on the night and if its super cold, I can still wear a jumper and look party ready.
NYE can be fun, just be sure to be safe! I hope you enjoyed my very easy and lazy girls way of getting ready for ringing in the new year. Wishing you all a very happy and merry new year, that is filled with success, happiness and love!
