It seems like forever since I've posted about the makeup I am currently loving, probably because I only ever use the same things on a everyday basis. Recently, I have changed it up a bit and started to use new products and after just a few days of using some of them, they have become firm favourites. This makeup look as a whole, is very long lasting and this is something that I aim for with having combination skin. Skincare obviously plays a big part in helping your makeup last, but the makeup you apply equally plays a part. Grab a drink as this is a long one...

I've heard nothing but amazing things about primer waters and this one from Primark was a recent buy of mine and it does not disspoint. A few sprays over my face, let it dry and then applying makeup on top has been a dream. It helps keep my skin hydated as well as help makeup last. It was also only £2.50 which is amazing, compared to the higher end versions on the market. On Depop recently, I purcashed the Clinique Beyond Perfecting Foundation, this is a 2 in 1 product claiming to be both a foundation and concealer. I am borderline obsessed with this foundation, the shade is a perfect match to my skin tone which is always a struggle to do, the coverage is incredible. After just one layer it covers everything and gives me a flawless, matte coverage. I don't use concealer on my skin after using this as it covers everything, just take the NYX HD concealer under my eyes to brighten and make me look more alive. This is one of the best drugstore concealers I have used and it isn't that expensive either! I am still very much in love with the Maybelline Master Bronze palette, the shade at the very end is perfect for everyday bronzing and I've nearly hit pan which rarely ever happens with products but yay!
The highlighting duo I have been loving for everyday is a mixture of two cream products, the first is the Primark highlighting stick. This was a impluse buy as I was heading to pay, the checkouts in any shop are the worst - always find myself spending more money! I love applying this to my cheeks, cupids bow and under my brow. Then going over this with the L.A Girl Strobing Powder, this turned into a cream from powder after my little accident but nonetheless it still works just as good and the glow it gives is incredible. It is very golden but not too in your face, so perfect for wearing everyday.
I have been loving using a tiny little bit of blush on the cheeks recently, the sun might not be out but my skin can show that it is summer right? NARS Orgasm is just beautiful, a deep pink that is filled with specks of gold glitter that on my skin comes out very rose gold and glistens in the sun (when it appears). No fancy eye makeup for me recently as hayfever is a pain, but a tiny little bit of the NYX brow gel to fill in any sparse areas and a coat of Tarte's Maneater Mascara to give my lashes some length and volume.
It is at this point in my makeup that I do my hair, giving my whole face time to just sit and settle into the skin without putting anything on top. It is the time to catch up on snapchat, brush my teeth and soft my hair out. I love keeping it simple and fuss free, being blessed with straight hair means that I only ever have to brush through it in the morning and nothing more. To do this I have been loving my Tangle Angel, this rose gold one is the larger style of brushes that they do, compared to the compact ones that are perfect for your bag. This larger size has a handle that makes it easier to grip and comb through the most stubborn knots. It works on all different hair types too, I took it with me to Wales a few weeks ago and it ended up being the family hairbrush. My mum with her curly thick hair, dad, brother and me all used it! I think they're a little bit in love with it, not to mention that it is rose gold and beautfiful!
I've then been setting this all in place with the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray*, I have heard nothing but praise for this bottle of goodness and it has not let me down. The longetivity of my makeup lasting from 7-7 on a long day is down to this gem and the primer spray. It hasn't got a strong smell, nor does it leave white marks on the face like other setting mists do, when applied it sets within a few minutes and leaves your makeup set and looking less cakey. A few weeks back, I won Sophie's twitter giveaway, as someone who never ever wins anything I was very excited. The prize was a gorgeous BarryM Matte Liquid lipstick in Runaway Berry. This shade is my favourite bold but not too out there shade at the moment, I think the reason I love wearing this so much is because of the formula. It is creamy and glides on to the lips and lasts all day, through everything. I'm taking coffee, sandwiches and conversatons with others.
This entire look usually takes me about 15 minutes including the break that I have mid doing my face, it works a treat for long days at work or even in the evenings. What makeup have you been loving lately?
