I worked in Leeds a few days this week and lets just say working around the corner from all the shops is VERY DANGEROUS. I have spent so much of my lunch hour going for a browse, when I really shouldn't have! At the moment the high street/ drugstore brands are killing it, with so many new releases and Superdrug pretty much have every offer going. It is only a small haul but full of things that I am excited to try.
Every time I use my beloved Too Faced bronzer, it is getting towards the bottom. So it was the Maybelline Master Bronze (£12.99) that I picked up first, this palette contains three bronzers and one highlighter. Each of them are highly pigmented and the embossing on them makes this product that even more gorgeous. Staying on the Maybelline front, I also picked up their newly released Big Shot Mascara. I love Maybelline mascara's in general, each one I have tried has been incredible in terms of formula and length. This packaging is very bright and out there, so it was hard not to pick this up. The final product from them that I picked up was the Under Eye Concealer, I haven't used this in months and am so excited to be reunited with it again! Many find the way you apply this concealer very unhygienic but I personally love the sponge, it makes applying it so much easier.
If there is one setting spray I am obsessed with it is the L'Oreal Fixing Mist, I use it everyday no matter what makeup I am wearing as it guarantees me that my makeup will last and be locked in place. You have to give this a really good shake every time you use it otherwise the white powder will spray out and settle on your face. I am very keen to try the US version of this, which can be found on Ebay and see how it compares. The lovely Ambar from Her Little Loves recently posted all about the new Tanya Burr collection and it inspired me to finally try something from her range. I wanted to get my hands on the eye palette's but they were out of stock. Instead I picked up a gorgeous nude lipstick in the shade 'Bear Hug'. I haven't worn this as of yet but upon swatching, I fell in love. So creamy and pigmented -I didn't really expect anything less from Tanya to be honest!
The final few bits you can see are from E.L.F! The duo eye shadows, I won in a giveaway recently and they have blown me away. As a whole brand, they have just launched in the UK through Superdrug. It is a very well known brand across the pond, with all their products been inexpensive and high quality. The day I went into Superdrug, they had literally just put the stand up and I was very excited and overwhelmed. What on earth do I buy?! The bronzers and blushes looked stunning but didn't show up when I swatched and the foundations weren't appealing to me, instead I settled for a lip pencil in the shade Praline. This is a jumbo pencil is another lovely nude shade, it has been so nice to wear on the lips and the shade is almost my natural lip colour but better. I'll have to pop in again with a list and more of an idea of what to buy as they seem like a lovely brand.
Its only tiny little haul but purchases from brands that I don't usually try and products that I am so excited to start using! Have you picked anything up from the drugstore recently? p.s I think the title of this post is going to become a regular thing on here!
