Charlotte Tilbury Haul

Sometimes you've just got to treat yourself, or if your me, you constantly treat yourself! It was Valentine's Day this week and for someone who doesn't have a secret admirer it was only fair to buy myself something. Maybe not, but its a reason to shop for new things...

As we hit the middle of February, I am very much ready for Spring! All the pastel and bright colours are calling me, to subtly enter that into my wardrobe these three pieces from Primark are perfect. They all have a recurring theme, fancy sleeves! Something about this trumpet sleeve trend has got me going crazy - its so pretty. The two pink items (£8) are tops that are perfect to wear when you are wanting a casual and dressed up look, then the grey is a dress that featured on my instagram just the other day. Its a stunning straight down, plain grey dress that just looks effortless. I'm hoping these pieces help the transition from winter to spring.

The other day we had to go into Liverpool for a treasure hunt, its a part of my teaching degree to learn about teaching outside of the classroom. When in Liverpool I could not go shopping around Liverpool 1 could I? There are so many shops within the open shopping centre, that you get spoilt for choice. I usually head straight for the luxury side, there's a Kiehl's store, The White Company and my favourite place the Harvey Nichols Beauty Bazaar. Its makeup heaven all under one roof, you'll love to just go in and browse. There's also a newly opened Urban Decay flagship store, which is just amazing.

On this particular trip, I popped into John Lewis because they have a Charlotte Tilbury counter - that's right, I caved. For months, I have been lusting over something from the brand and today was the day. Don't kill me, but the reason why it was taken me so long to buy is because personally I find its a brand more aimed at paler skin tones, rather than darker such as mine. The lovely lady at the counter helped me find the perfect nude (of course, did you really expect anything else from me?) that I can wear either everyday or for special occasions. Kim KW was far too light as was the newly released Pillow Talk lipstick. In the end we settled for the Pillow Talk lip liner, its so popular and so it should be - gorgeous along with the lipstick in Bitch Perfect. Its a lovely pink nude and oh my gosh I'm in love with everything about it, the packaging, smell and colour.
