Its officially the 'less than two weeks' countdown till my holiday, for one glorious week I am off to the sunny Crete - excitement levels are high and its right before I start university again, perfect timing!
However, my wardrobe is not prepared for the hot weather and cool nights that I will be experiencing. Here's a wishlist of some gorgeous pieces that I am in desperate need of...
Swimwear and cover ups are one of my favourite things to buy but an absolutely pain, because nothing ever fits. Please say someone else understands my struggle? I have been browsing ASOS, lately and have my eyes on two pieces. One is a pom pom maxi dress, its pretty, white and will look perfect day and night. Also, have my eye on a patchwork style swimsuit which has lace detailing at the top to add a bit of an edge.
The plan is to spend as much time as possible, doing nothing. Sitting by the pool, on the beach and just winding down. Most of the clothes I will be packing are flowy, light and pretty. Dresses of all different styles are definitely on the wishlist, bardot dresses seem to be a big trend at the moment and the print on some are just stunning. Maxi dresses are a summer must have, they look so elegant in the evening and chilled out in the morning. The most effort that I will be putting in to look nice, will be in the evening - you got to look nice in a posh restaurant right? Printed trousers are one thing I will be filling my suitcase with, these monochrome ones are in the sale at the moment and exactly what I am looking for. I'm also really wanting to invest in a new black jumpsuit, such a staple summer fashion item and look great on everyone.
We can't forget the important parts of the packing, I'm taking extras. Everything from makeup to shoes - you can't forget them. Pom pom sandals are all over my instagram feed at the minute and I am desperate to get my hands on some, they look fun and so funky! My makeup bag also needs a refresh and some lighter base products need to be added in, such as the Urban Decay One and Done, its a sheer foundation and provides all day wear too - along with this I have my eye on the new naked basics palette. Accessories in general are a thing I need to stock up on, wearing different pieces of jewellery on holiday makes such a big difference. It gives you the chance to wear the same outfit twice, dress up in the evening or just add something stunning to a boring outfit. As far as wishlists go, this is just the beginning and now I am off to spend £££££.
