When the sun makes an appearance in the UK I know that its time to shuffle up my skincare once again and find products that are lighter and more moisturising. Surprisingly, my skin gets drier in parts when summer comes around compared to winter. Meaning I have to use more nourishing products that will hydrate my skin yet keep it feeling lightweight so that my skin isn't congested.
Today, I have a review of the Caudalíe Vinosource Moisturizing Sorbet* which is a gel cream meant to hydrate the skin and repair it from the outside.
What Caudalíe Says?
Sensitive skin care saviour: the Vinosource Moisturising Sorbet has an immediate and long-lasting calming and soothing action. Anti-oxidant rich with patented polyphenols the formula helps strengthen and nourish the skin from the inside out.
The gel-cream reactivates the skin’s hydration mechanisms and restores its water reserves. As skin becomes stronger, it feels softer and more comfortable.
Caudalíe is a very high end brand and the price you pay is for the quality. The Vinosource Sorbet* retails at £23 and the Vinosource Radiance Serum* (the smaller tube) actually retails for £45 for 30ML. Both of these, primarily the sorbet has become my new favourite product these past few weeks and my skin has seen a massive change.
Sorbet moisturisers are very new to me, but after a few searches online apparently they are really good for use in the warmer months, so I was really excited to see Caudalíe's own version, as part of their Vinosource line up. The sorbet contains natural and organic grape water along with other kind to skin ingredients. Such as antioxidants, that help to defend the skin, there is also Vinolevure inside which helps to retain the skins moisture.
I’ve been using Caudalie’s Vinosource Moisturizing Sorbet in the mornings before applying my primer. The sorbet formula melts instantly into your skin, on the warm days the UK experienced a few weeks ago; my skin wasn't left feeling greasy at all. With having combination skin, parts of skin is dry, around the nose is an issue and this has been helping to combat that very well.
I have fully enjoyed using the sorbet and I will definitely continue until the tube is finished. It has helped rejuvenate my skin after going through a dry stage, also haven't had a reaction which is a big plus. My oil has also been under control all day long!
If you’re in the market for a nourishing moisturiser for the summer, give this a go! The serum that I mentioned earlier is meant to be used under the sorbet, but using it with or without hasn't made a difference to me.
Overall, I can say that I have found my summer moisturiser! Its the perfect consistency to use everyday and works a treat under makeup. If only it contained spf and it would be ideal for the very hot days!
