/ I love food, I mean who doesn't? I enjoy cooking dishes at home as well as going out to try new cuisines and restaurants. Living and working in the city (Leeds) has its benefits, there are numerous shops surrounding me, not nice on my purse but there are lots of options for food. The days I work longer shifts, I treat myself to food from 'outside'. Last week I ventured up to Cabana...
Cabana is situated opposite the Trinity Kitchen and is a Brasilian barbecue and cocktail bar, their menu covers everything from sandwiches, burgers to rice and fries! They have an amazing drinks menu for both alcohol and non-alcoholic drinkers and their dessert menu is amazing too, what I will be trying next time for sure!
When I went to visit Cabana, it was during my lunch hour but you still have the option to eat from the main menu as everything is made on demand. As soon as my feet stepped inside I just looked around. The decor inside is gorgeous, I felt as though I was in Brazil and not Leeds. Big shout-out to the staff who work there as well, they were the sweetest people. Answered all my questions, kept a close eye on me and when I told them that I am 'dining and then dashing' due to coming during my lunch they were very welcoming.
I opted for the lunch menu, £9.95 for two courses Monday-Friday until 5pm. For starter I went for Malagueta Hummus & Cucumber, the perfect starter to eat when you are trying your hardest to be good! The hummus was spicy and pairing it with cucumber instead of carrots which is what I usually do is divine.
Then for mains I had one of the Sambawich (get it?). Its a grilled pita that was filled portbello mushroom, halloumi and mayo. My oh my, it was delicious. To say it was only 12 o'clock in the afternoon, I managed to eat all of it including the salad in the bowl. Oooh and saving the best till last. For drink I went for a smoothie, the Super Suco smoothies contains acia, banana and strawberry. It was presented in a mason jar and was the perfect drink to accompany the meal. Sweet, refreshing and delicious.
As you can imagine at the end of all of this I was very full but it was well worth it and I will be going back again for lunch and an evening meal to try out the main menu. If you are go shopping in the Trinity, then you must visit Cabana. I had such a brilliant experience and there is nothing I would change about the delicious food and the whole atmosphere in general. Its convenient, inexpensive and amazing!
*Thank you to the whole Cabana team for a great meal and inviting me along, all opinions expressed are my own
