2015 has flashed by and 2016 is here. This is the year I am going to be more experimental with my makeup and treat myself to more high end makeup. Last year I managed to buy more different brands and push a little. Here are my top 15 of last year!
Face
L'Oreal True Match
I think that this has to be my favourite foundation ever, at first I was a bit unsure about how it would be due to the new formula. Months later I am on my third bottle and still loving it. The formula of this new and improved version is so much better, its creamy (can you describe a foundation like that?). Its also very soft and doesn't counteract the dry skin on your face. Shade wise; there is a huge selection to choose from to benefit from the wide range of shades I recommend going to a large boots or superdrug where counters are more spread out.
Maybelline Fit Me Concealer
I bought this back in June right before my holiday to see how it would be, duped as a NARS Creamy Concealer on a budget I had very mixed feelings. Much to my surprise it is amazing! It has a high coverage and applies lovely on to the skin. I am still on my same tube, showing that it can last you a long time and that I need a new one.
MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Soft & Gentle
This was a very new discovery for me and what enabled my new love for highlighting. I have always been scared of adding 'glitter' to my face incase I ended up looking like a disco ball, but the MAC mineralize skinfinish makes it impossible to make a mistake. Its been finely milled and the glitter is very subtle compared to the amazing glow that it creates.
Max Factor Creme Puff Blushes
I seem to now own every one of these blushes bar one, which I must hunt down. Each one is pigmented, gorgeous and long lasting. Dupes for the Hourglass Ambient Light yet way cheaper. I haven't personally compared them but Lily Pebbles has and she loves them! My favorite has to be Nude Mauve, its a subtle highlight with a bit of colour for the cheeks.
I Heart Makeup Chocolate Desire Bronzer
I apologise for this product looking absolutely terrible but I can't help it been such a mess to use! The IHM Bronzer is amazing for everyday use and is a staple item for me. It adds a bit of colour to my morning skin without looking too muddy like others. I've had these for a year now I think and its still going, much to my surprise I can't seem to hit pan.
Little Mix Collection Palette
Every since Little Mix announced their range with Collection, I just knew I had to have something from it and one of the items were the eye palette. It was always sold out whenever I went shopping, until someone got me it for my birthday and since I haven't put it down! The pigmentation of the colours is very high and the range of colours are perfect for a quick look.
Seventeen Mascara
I have fallen in love with this mascara ever since I got my hands on it, I never used to be a mascara person on a everyday basis until this came around and now I am! I love applying a small amount each day to give my eyes some lift and then two at night for an evening look.
Benefit Roller Lash
The love affair I have had with this mascara is unbelievable. I first tried it out in May when it came as a sample in Elle magazine and I am not ashamed to say that I bought two copies just because I loved it that much. Then when I went on holiday with my best friend in June I bought it in Duty Free and since it has come everywhere with me.
NARS Anita Lipstick
This was my luxurious purchase of the year when I started university aka when my student loan came in oops. The lovely lady at the counter convinced me to treat myself and so I did - its the perfect nude for me. Not to pale and not to pink just in the middle.
MAC Cinderella
When this collection came out I couldn't wait to get my hands on it and when I did it was a beautiful moment. The lipsticks were the only things I managed to pick up but what more do I need in life? Royal Ball and Free as a Butterfly are both gorgeous colours, paired on their own not for me together/on top of liner and with lip gloss perfect!
NARS Cruella
Apologies for two of the same brand products but NARS are just fabulous and I wish I discovered them earlier. Cruella is a lovely red that looks perfect with anything, its not muted or too cherry red just right in the middle. My lips don't feel like I have anything heavy on them, infact nothing on them at all.
La Roche Posay Serozinc
Maybelline Rose Attraction
This was the hardest catergory to do because I am a nail addict, I seem to have toned down the blog posts but my instagram is a different story. A colour that is subtle, professional and goes with everything has to be Rose Attraction. Its a muted pink and its stunning.
Bourjois Instant Nail Drops
These drops are my saviour product and now not only mine but also the people who I live with. The technology/science behind these drops is incredible. Something so oily can dry your nails? Mind Blown.
Primark Nails
False nails are fast becoming my go to thing - not acrylics - as they take forever to take off and the aftercare is ridiculous. But ones that you can use false nail glue with is amazing, I apply them at least twice in a month as they are so much better than my real nails. Primark have a great selection of colours and patterns, my next ones to try are matte *heart eyed emoji, others include elegant touch and nailene.
Wow, 2015 what a year! Hope you enjoyed seeing what I loved using this past year, what have you loved?

Skincare
La Roche Posay Serozinc
I haven't yet spoken about this wonderful product on here but behind the scenes I have been loving it, the Serozinc is a facial toner that has been formulated for oily skin that is prone to getting blemishes. I try to use this every night after removing my makeup and even though I don't think its quite doing anything for my skin. It is definitely cooling it down before I go to sleep and has reduced the amount of oil that my skin creates.
