Last Monday the family and I headed down to London to begin
our holiday adventure, and it all started with a night over at Travelodge
Heathrow Central, which is located right next to Heathrow airport with shuttle
bus facilities.
Getting to the hotel was very easy and when you get closer
to it you can see the bright Travelodge sign and the multi storey car park that
is attached. I have been to a great deal of hotels in my life, and Travelodge
style ones when we go away, but this one was fancier than the rest it looked
beautiful from the outside and it was inside as well.
The Room
For the four of us the best option is a family room, this
comes with a double bed, and two single pull out beds, which are a lot comfier
than they look at first – I was well rested in the morning. Many Travelodges
now offer king size beds in the rooms if you want to upgrade. We were however
missing bedding for the extra bed, and the extra bed wasn’t set up so when
someone came to check on us we told them and within five minutes we had our bed
set up with fresh linen.
After we all got settled at around 11pm, we were absolutely starving!
My mum and brother headed to the bar to see if they were still serving food and
to our surprise they were – pizza! Unhealthy I know especially right before we
go on holiday but oh well. After eating, talking and having a hotel room drink
we went to bed.
The Bathroom
The thing I love about going to hotels to stay is the
bathroom! I love seeing what it’s like and how it is to use. This bathroom was
smaller compared to the room but came fully equipped with a bath, shower, sink
and toilet. Being a shower girl this one was amazing and very powerful it definitely
woke me up, and the four of us managed to go in and out without any worries.
Breakfast
I seem to be very excited in this post but this is the last
time I promise! Food. How can you not get excited? At Travelodge you can
everything that your heart desires, they have cereal options from Weetabix to
coco pops. A full English option which I think many people tend to go for consisting
of both vegetarian and meat options. Then you have your little things like jot
drinks, fresh juices, bread, croissants and tiny jam pots and Nutella!
Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the London Heathrow
central hotel, it felt nice ti have a break before a 18 hour flight and it is
so much more convenient when you have an early/late flight. Even though at
first the room wasn’t ready for js, we got dealt with straight away and the
staff were very helpful.
